I doubted that it would be better than the PJ20 but its lumens it indeed brighter and deliver value for money.
@tvboxstop hello I'm kinda in a hurry, but I will explain my situation. There are black friday sales on amazon and both pj20 and pj40 are on sale. For 203 euros and 254 respectively (good price for the country i live in. Now I have a room without a big light exposure and it's not very big too. I'm indecised in wich to buy. I feel like the pj40 as more potencial in the long run, but seems like an unfinished product or not so solid like the pj20 especially after reading and hearing some bad claims about it. For the sound pj40 as no Dolby surround capability, while pj20 as one and even if it as lower power I feel like quality might be better and for a smaller room and the surround is more important and a bonus. Now I saw a video on nexigo channel that they are addressing some of pj40 problem with updates like buffering problems in Bluetooth etc. Do you think with an update pj40 can be compatible with Dolby surround for example ? Also do you think the image quality jump and 4k compatibility is worth that extra 50 euros taking into account what I said ? Another question is, I know the pj20 as lower speaker volume but does it as more quality and is better for a smaller room compared to a more powerful but maybe worse audio quality in your experience of hearing both ? Sry for the long text but I wanted to explain it all

For the price it seems quite good. I would love to see the 25 foot display size capability in action. I was curious about why an HLG file was chosen in favour of an HDR10 or HDR10+ file. Dies the HDR functionality extend to at least HDR10?
I don't have the space or screen size to demonstrate. And next time I'll consider the HDR10+ if the projector is compatible with it

How do you get settings when picture is playing? Mine is not showing up. Thanks
What you do is while playing a video press the okay button and the media controls will appear the bottom of the screen navigate to the settings gear will for video options. You should also try pressing the menu button on the remote while a video is playing.
are you using a tv box to improve the quality? and how do tv boxes work if you don't mind
Yes I used an Android box to display some 4K videos. I simply connected the box to one of its HDMI and switch its input source

Hi. I've just received one of these off of eBay. I love it. But the only thing is my Nvidia Shield it keeps cutting it out. You say it's compatible with fire sticks and Chromecast. But does that mean it's not compatible with my Nvidia Shield. I have the 2017 model please can you respond to this. I know you're probably very busy. Try turning off HDMI CEC on the Nvidia shield and see if it makes a difference

Yes you can connect your laptop and a user Netflix and UA-cam without issues it has HDCP compatibility so it will show in HD and 4K.
Can you use firestick on this projector?
Yes you can without issues
Would you recommend this over the vizony rd830?
I don't have that model but I know the brightness of its lumens. Those models cannot compare to the brightness of this model. It may not be flashy and fancy like that model, but in terms of brightness, it outperforms.
Hey, Im a huge fan of Nexigo! But Im a bigger fan of the truth.
He is right, the PJ40 is a stunner and bright as heck. But those Vizonys....wow.
They too are very bright. There is a new one and an older one. The older one is a little bit more money and not smart...go figure.
But I wouldnt say the PJ40 blows them away.
Like I said I can't confirm because I never had the Vizonys to make that comparison. So if you have it and could make an accurate comparison to say that it is brighter than the PJ40 then I stand corrected and have no issue with retracting my statement that the PJ40 is brighter.
@@tvboxstop No, I do not think they are brighter. But I think its brightness rivals the PJ40 from video I have seen of it.

But like I said, Im a big fan of Nexigo. I recommend that projector a lot.
If this thing can last one year, it will prove to have MUCH better longevity than the Apollo P40 and the Aurzen Boom 3 it will replace. However, I'm not going to hold my breath.

Is there anyway to NOT have the bottom display info show up after each video? I’m using this for outdoor decorations, and a bunch of different short video clips play or I have them on repeat, the bottom display showing for about 12 seconds every time the video is over kind of ruins it.
Yes that's a serious flaw you identified. I am looking at it and there is no setting to transition from one video to the next without it popping up. It eventually disappears on its own but if you are watching short clips then it can definitely be a nuisance. I was just about an hour ago contacted by Nexigo and I will send your concern to them to see if anything can be done via for an update.

@@tvboxstop awesome! Thank you so much! I was able to edit the clips into a long loop to help reduce the times it pops up, but I’m hoping they find a solution in the next couple updates.

Is there a timer setting to have the projector shut off?
I created a 45 min loop, have it on repeat throughout the night, came out this morning to just the Home Screen. So I’m assuming the projector has a time limit on how long a video will play, but it would be nice to you could set a complete shutdown timer.
Do the volume controls of the Chromecast remote work?
Yes it did you. You can also disable HDMI CEC on the Chromecast to have the volumes operate independently

This is Gen 3. There is a PJ20, and a PJ30. I am selling this one as an open box item interested?
I connected it to my pc but the image is super blurry… I did not like it. Using Apple TV it’s fine, but idk how to make the text sharper on pc
Right-click on your desktop, select display settings, you will see the projector as one of the extended displays, or the only display if connected directly. Above the display resolution you will see the scale option. Change the scale from 100% to 125 or 250 or higher is needed. This will change everything on the screen to a larger more visible display.

My advice based on long-term usage of the PJ40 from other users, is that if you can get the PJ20 and a good deal you should go with the PJ20. It has been reported by long-term users that the PJ40 start experiencing some LCD screen burn. I don't know if they are not allowing adequate cooling or if they are allowing the fan speed to remain to low. What I like about the PJ20 is the autofocus feature and the touchscreen features, not to mention it also has an awesome display.
@@tvboxstop thank you alot, that's exactly what I was afraid of, have seen people commenting on videos, forums about that, and since nexigo pj20 as supposed claimed 30 000 hours usage, and warranty plus the test of time of the consumers i went for it just to secure the buy. Again thanks alot for the fast response ! Also the fact you have better mirroring capacity, lower input lag, and Dolby Atmos support, and what to me looks like way better build/design quality is amazing

Yes definitely it can. It has more than adequate power for that. By the way this is still available at open box price if you live in the US.

Yah if you like giant dark spots 2 months after using it. And no you can't easily open it like other projectors.
Overheating of the projector LCD causes that. Try increasing the default fan speed level.
I always had it on 100%. Plenty of room for vents and changed the filters. My rooms even air conditioned. The truth is if you run it more than 3 hrs at a time you run the risk of burning it out. It would be nice if it said that in the manual.
