This is my second Eureka. I love it but they both stopped working due to it will not charge. I purchased a new battery and charger but no luck.

It can lean if the counter is not high enough as it swivels to do so.. It might not be strictly vertical but nonetheless can be supported according to sellers of this products from other promoters.. The question for me is will that niche tuck in sturdy and steady if angled on a counter or such surface or will it slide off possibly breaking a product priced at clearly over $120.00?

I have a Eureka Blaze Stick Vacuum. You can use as a handheld vacuum.

I purchased this vacuum from amazon for $140 and it arrived this afternoon. I also wish this thing could stand up on its own. I also wish the brush roll head was a bit beefier. Even though its only really meant for hard floors and low carpet- it just doesn't seem like its quite enough. Also the low-power setting is pretty much useless. All of that being said-its still alright. Suction is good enough, except larger debris needs to go thru the middle of the brushroll otherwise the vac will just pass over it.

We have dust/hair fuzz from our dog which is easily picked up off our LVP floor in low speed. But on carpet or more difficult debris the low speed is quite lacking. Overall this is OK but I agree that it is somewhat lacking.

Have you ever had a problem with the hose in the brush head? Wasn't picking up and brush was turning. Thinking I had a clog, I checked without the head and suction was good. Upon inspection, I found the hose to be completely disintegrated. The spiral spring shaped wire is good but the plastic/vinyl material is just a bunch of holes.

What if I told you that you are using your vacuum wrong? You complained about it tipping over standing up? That little 90 degree notch on the back side is for leaning on a countertop. Try it.

Oh, you mean like how I mention that exact feature at 6:00?

I bought the NEC 186 model 2 years ago. Recently I took it apart and cleaned it and reassembled it. when I turned it on
the motor is running, so I start to do my cleaning. then I realized that the dust and debris is not picked up. So I checked it and noticed that the cups with the metal mesh thing is not turning. therefore. there is not sucking power. I don't know where to reach Eureka service center and ask what happened. Can anyone reading this help me? what did I do wrong. Because I cleaned it before the same way and reassembled it. And it worked fine. I pretty upset. it's such a simple vacuum. it shouldn't break so easily.

You know, there is a design element that allows it to "stand" on its own. The cut-out on the bottom of the main base/handle acts as a hook that will allow you to leverage the device on the lip of a counter top or piece of furniture (I saw it in another review). While not ideal, the lack of standability is something the designers were aware of did add something to help counteract it. I mean lets be real though - the thing is designed to be light weight, compact and maneuverable. You have to give up some elements for others :)

That feature only works if your countertops are a particular height as I mention at 6:00. I actually did finally get it to stand on its own, although rather precariously. But if you are patient and slowly find that sweet spot, it will stand on its own, if ever so briefly.

I bought one new. Stopped working 1 month out of warranty (19 months). Eureka was no help. The motherboard is shutting it down after a moment of operation.
I have owned Eureka vacuums exclusively for 28 years, but they arent the company they used to be.

Sadly there are a lot of companies that aren't what they used to be. Progress?

I watched most your video and in case I missed it, does this Eureka cordless vacuum have a rotating head on the bottom or is it just plain straight suction, have to have a rotating brush!

Hello, great video, thank you. Question - do you know the difference between model NEC180 and NEC186?

      @michaelerbreviews  3 роки тому

I don't know for sure but it could simply be a different model name for the same vacuum for marketing purposes.

Great video Micheal! I am having my wall to wall very old carpet replaced in my condo with new wood like flooring this Fall so this would be perfect. I am comparing other models like the Dyson Cordless Pet Vacuum so II will decide later. How does this compare to other cordless vacs? Thanks again and have a great day!

Thank you. I believe that a Dyson would likely be superior to this Eureka handvacuum however that will also come with a much higher price tag. This one is around $150. Battery life on this is about 40- minutes but I seldom use it that long and recharge it after every few uses. It's very handy for quickly vacuuming my floors. For the price I think it's a decent value.
