    I have a wonderful, heavy duty Miele upright vacuum. I love it. It gets the pet hair better than any other vacuum I've ever used, and it deep cleans my carpets perfectly. It is also heavy, it doesn't get into the cracks and crevices, it doesn't fit under some of my furniture, nor can I vacuum my drapery with it. I have been looking for a cordless stick vacuum, reading reviews etc, and your review has guided me to this one. I had seen reviews of this brand from other sources, but I wasn't sure about it. Now I am. One of the things you didn't mention, but I found in the owners manual online, is that the filters can be washed. One of my issues with many vacuums is that the filters are difficult to find and can't usually be washed. And, contrary to what the manual says, the vacuums DO loose suction as the filter becomes clogged. That's why I spent the money on a Miele that uses a bag. The required filter comes in the box of bags, and I never loose suction. I am a bit concerned about emptying the dust cup, because that puts a lot of dust back into the air - another reason I chose a bag vacuum - but I think that the way I intend to use this smaller vacuum will make the dust cup emptying tolerable. Thank you again for your review of this product.

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  4 роки тому +1

      Hello and thanks for your updates. The Miele is an excellent vacuum but serves a very different purpose from this light weight crumb catcher. This is so easy to use you'll use it several times a day all over your house for tiny pick-ups. And you are correct, the dust cup is simply one click of the release button, the secret is to have it deep in the trash can so the trapped dust doesn't escape. Let me know how you like it.

    Oh my gosh, I'm a vacuum freak, I'll have to put this on the list. If anyone is looking for super budget priced stick vac options, I have a Bissell 3 in 1 that's kind of like a dustbuster with an attachable handle and head to vacuum the floor. I think I paid $20 for it, have had it forever, it's super light but has fantastic suction for cleaning hard floors, tight spaces (it has a crevice tool) & your car. It is corded, but I just keep an extension cord attached to it and the cord never bothers me. I normally hate dealing with bagless vacs, but this one has a small filter that's extremely easy to clean.

    Nice ! Maybe I’ll get this instead of the cordless Shark . I like the brush attachment better than the ones Shark offers . This could be my baseboard, nook and cranny savior ! Have you tried the Shark version to compare suction? I do construction cleanup . It’s slightly pre cleaned first . But LOTS of sawdust on black trim , doors and baseboards. Thank you ! You’re the BEST 🥰

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  2 роки тому +1

      If you do construction clean up - get a good wet/dry shop vac. (Here is the paid link to one I'm thinking about amzn.to/3A4j8Wh) The filters on a regular vacuum will be toast after a minute. This Eureka is great for kitchen crumbs and bathroom hair but it will make you really mad if you're trying to use it for professional cleaning. It's just not the right tool.

  • @flynn1a
    @flynn1a 4 роки тому +1

    Cordless stick vacs look tempting, but do they have as much suction power on carpets as a regular upright? A Mighty Mite is super easy on the shoulders because you’re only lifting a plastic wand (and it’s really cheap and you don’t have to charge it), but it just doesn’t cut it on carpet. It would be interesting to give your mom both this stick vac and a Mighty Mite and see which she prefers for her shoulders. I’m 67 and I’m finding that a Mighty Mite type canister and a Black and Decker handheld are easier, lighter, and cheaper than this would be. (However, I would definitely like a carpet vac that is lighter but still as effective as my upright.)

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  4 роки тому +2

      Great question. No, the cordless stick vacuum doesn't have the same power a corded upright has. The Eureka Stylus Cordless Stick Vacuum has 380 Watts the Mighty Mite is around 1400 Watts. This is a snack compared to a full blown meal. The purpose of this unit is to pick up crumbs and clean stairs, and use the hand-held attachment for easy clean up projects. Thanks for the recommendation. :-)

    Angela, could you review/compare the different wet/dry vacuums that have separate water tanks, one for clean water and one for dirty water? It would be nice to have a comparison of these in one video. I’ve seen different reviews in different places but it’s hard to remember where there were later. I’m not talking about carpet cleaners. I’m talking about ones that can be used on floors.

    Wow! What a review! Makes me want to get this one. I also would like a robot vacuum someday. Unfortunately, I have too many already. 1. Eureka Dirt Devil for the kids (It doesn’t clean well even when they actually use it.) 2. Small corded Eureka stick vacuum It is pain to use & is pretty useless 3. HEAVY & LOUD pro type Royale (made by Eureka) even it doesn’t clean as well as my Shark. The Shark is half as loud and 5x as light. 4. My third Mighty Might ❤️ I’ve used these for over 30 years. 5. Shark Apex corded stick vacuum ❤️ It REALLY “sucks” well. The rollers are designed so hair doesn’t get caught. ❤️ It is lightweight and not that loud.

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  3 роки тому +1

      This is a great vacuum for the areas you mentioned. It would not be my first choice for pet hair removal. The beater bar on the bottom of this vacuum is not a champ for pet hair. I've got a Dyson with a tangle free turbine hose attachment amzn.to/380s7JV and it has not one but two rotating brushes that go in opposite directions simultaneously. This allows one brush to pick up pet hair the the other brush keeps it from getting clogged in the attachment. Unfortunately, my Dyson attachment doesn't fit this Eureka. And if you go to the Dyson stick vacuum amzn.to/3jLHgB9 you're in a different class of vacuum, more power, more suction, and a bigger price.

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  2 роки тому +2

      I'm a big fan of cordless vacuums until they run out of power. Dyson has an amazing line and are the best in their class. If you are using it in your own home for crumbs in the kitchen, pet hair on the furniture, stairs, or hair in the bathroom, I think you'll be quite pleased. If you clean professionally, I recommend a vacuum with a cord simply for the fact that you won't be able to clean all day on all jobs with a single charge.

      The battery pack is supposed to last for 45 minutes. I find most of my uses are 5-10 minutes at most so it does the trick. So if you have a question, often times you'll find a specific answer right there on the product page before you buy.
