yes this a bit of a departure, but it's a change of pace. rest assured useless info will still be made! edit: I guess my conclusion is somewhat controversial? Yeah I guess having an "innate stat" kind-of comparison is unfair to the terrarian, who is innately weaker but has so much more to gain from equipment and powers. note: I didn't put how I calculated platinum coins' weight: I put it in a card and here's the full video : ua-cam.com/video/ooUvSOz79pE/v-deo.html (due to too much math) I have uploaded 3 times in 3 days now (though one was a compilation that only took like 1 - 2 hours to make), rest assured this is abnormal and will not continue
I don't completely agree with your determination of strength. To use a void bag, you have to open an inventory outside the player, but the inventory is still stored in the player's inventory as the void bag item. My problem with this is that shulker boxes are basically the EXACT SAME as a void bag, and yet your calculations included shulker boxes and not the void bag.
Steve may be able to throw snowballs and eggs farther, but remember, when he does so it doesn’t actually deal any damage. The terrarian does, however slight. We could therefore make the assertion that, what the terrarian struggles in actual distance thrown, he makes up for in the raw strength of his throw.
"BuT THe enChanTMents" would make no difference. The terrarian has a LASERBEAM OF DEATH and a sword that acts like a chainsaw/boomerang that can be targeted anywhere. The netherite sword is just a sword.
terraria man can tank unbelivable magic and physical attacks as well as wielding weapons that destroy gods meanwhile squidward with an axe can destroy steve and he can barely fend off hordes
I feel like this really shows more than anything how much of a power ceiling Steve has vs the Terrarian, while at base stats Steve wins but if they could use their best gear it wouldn’t even be a competition
Considering that the Terrarian would win strength once 1.4.4 is out due to the new item limit, I still consider this as a win for Terrarian and a loss for Steve
To give Steve the best chance, we'll assume you're playing bedrock. And we'll also assume that: Minecraft Rabbit = Terraria Bunny 3 MChp = 5Thp 1 MChp = 5/3 Thp 1 Thp = 3/5 MChp Alright, now the Wooden sword does 5 MChp of damage, that would be 8+1/3 Thp Meanwhile the Wooden Sword in Terraria does 7 Thp of damage. (If you made a Palm Wood Sword it does 8 Thp of damage) Now if we look at the strongest weapon in minecraft, the netherite sword, it does 9 MChp of damage, that's equivalent to 15 Thp of damage. So a netherite sword is equivalent to a Platinum Broadsword. Now let's max it out! Minecraft Steve under the effect of Strength II using a Sharpness V Netherite sword deals 27 MChp of damage, that's equivalent to 45 Thp of damage, or the same as a Pointy Fiery Greatsword. Here's what happens if we change our base premise from Minecraft Rabbit = Terraria bunny to Maxed Drugged Steve = Maxed Drugged Terrarian 20+16 (from an Enchanted golden apple) = 500+100 (from the Life Force potion) 36 MChp = 600 Thp 1 MChp = 50/3 Thp 1 Thp = 3/50 MChp Alright, now the Wooden sword does 5 MChp of damage, that would be 5 MChp = 83+1/3 Thp So a Minecraft wooden sword is equivalent to a Keybrand used on a full health enemy Now if we look at the strongest weapon in minecraft, the netherite sword, it does 9 MChp of damage, that's equivalent to 150 Thp of damage. So a netherite sword is equivalent to a Daybreak but without the Daybroken effect. Now let's max it out! Minecraft Steve under the effect of Strength II using a Sharpness V Netherite sword deals a whopping 27 MChp of damage, that's equivalent to 450 Thp of damage, which can be achieved by using a Godly meowmere with Turtle Armor, Menacing Warrior Emblem, Menacing Avenger Emblem, Menacing Destroyer Emblem, Menacing Mechanical Glove, and Menacing Celectial Stone equipped, and having the Well Fed buff active.
I think the biggest problem with the strength testing is that we don’t actually know how heavy a lot of materials in Terraria are. Personally, I think luminite would be far heavier than platinum, but we can’t really be sure.
Actually, when 1.4.4or 5 or whatever the next update comes out in terraria the stack limit increases to 9999 for all items multiplying the terrarians strength by 100, beating steve no matter what
@@ImVyke. you can break any block (such as netherite blocks) minecraft with your fist and in terraria you can break lumenite ore with copper pickaxe so it shouldn't be that different.
For the strength factor, it's actually a tie. Both characters can put down some water with a bucket, then craft/fill as much water bottles as they want without worrying about running out of water. This implies that water buckets, in both games, have infinite weight
i dont think it really counts to say "infinite" because in both cases the water bucket itself isn't infinite, its self replenishing, which is a big difference however, the terraria character literally has an item called "infinite water bucket", so i suppose thats point to the terrarian then
@@terrariaskeletonpre1.0.39 I don't think the bucket has infinite weight, or infinite water even. I think it's like this: the bucket has 5L of water, you spill some and now it has 2L of water. Then by the power of magic it magically refills in no time and it becomes 5L again. (For reference a cup usually has 250ml, so 5L is like 20 cups)
Ok well it is not just infinite, it is bottomless meaning there could be an entire ocean in there also @Thepoint makes a good point about the bottomless lava bucket.
Edit: Comment was originally a criticism of the exclusion of safes and not shulker boxes, I've changed my mind on the subject. Amazing work on the video!
The safe is just a way to access a pocket dimension. You can access the contents from any safe. It's different from the Shulker which has the items within itself. While you can't access them without placing them down this is just how the game works, and they still have their items.
the Terrarian is going to be able to hold 9999 thrones per stack in an upcoming update (1.4.4), which will bring them from a loss in the strength category all the way to completely destroying Steve in the strength department, being able to carry roughly 268 million tons, as opposed to Steve's carrying strength of roughly 9.5 million tons (Each inventory slot (including offhand and crafting grid slots) filled with shulker boxes, each of them holding 27 stacks of enchanted golden apples)
@thevoyagingcreator well steve can teleport therefore speed = distance divided by time Distance: from one corner to the opposite corner of the world Time: one mincraft tick after some calculations steve achieves 6X THE SPEED OF LIGHT and at which modern physics are based if an object even reaches a tenth of the speed of light you get infinite mass which mean infinite force so steve can thanos snap the terrarien OUT OF EXISTENCE
@thevoyagingcreator bro I told you already. No problem I will say it AGAIN distance: we will take the maximum distance you can teleport in mincraft which is from the corner of the mincraft world to the other in the opposite direction and we can calculate that with the pythagrium theorem I don’t remember how it’s spelled correct me if am wrong Time: you can teleport in 1 tick in mincraft. 1 tick = 0.20 seconds conclusion: teleportation in mincraft ha a speed limit and it’s 6X the speed of light
If that is so, the terrian would win based on a quick calculation. no, seriously quick. 9999 is only a tad more than 999x10, and because steve won by a factor of 8, we can assume that the terrarian will win that.
@@oneflamey3234 Except the throne used stacks only to 99, which is even less that 999, so it's nearly a factor of 100x, the new item stack limit is about to make the terrarian 12.5x-ish (quick guessing maths) stronger than Steve
@@dangductran2926 you said with some cheats, by that logic steve could use creative to use nbt data to have a chest with chests with chests with chests with chests full of netherite blocks in every slot, so steve would be even stronger
i understand wanting a constant variable between the two, using gold, however there are many more items in terraria that weigh far more than gold, for example, the celestial fragments can be assumed to be at least fragments of stars, which the terrarian can carry with ease, even with them being a fraction of a star at that, a star weighs 100 solar masses, which is probably a little bit heavier than gold.
@@thewitchidolsachika6682 simple. "solar" refers to the sun, and the sun is a star, a solar fragment translates to "a fragment of the sun", ergo its a fragment of a star. if that doesn't satisfy you, we have literal fallen stars in terraria too, which would DEFINITELY qualify as a star, weighing 100 solar masses each, and these stack to 999.
@@terrariaskeletonpre1.0.39 the fragments hover, so they can hover in your backpack without taking any weight. and also, why don't fragments have their own gravitation, since they are like blackholes, which can be small, but have crazy mass. another fact that fragments don't weight alot.
@@thewitchidolsachika6682 okay, but my point about fallen stars still stands. also, mass =/= weight, if you sent an elephant to space, it would still be heavy.
i disagree with this example, the sun's "surface" is less dense than earth's atmosphere at sea level. but there are definitely heavier items per slot in terraria (e.g. the endless musket pouch/endless quiver, which presumably has infinite weight).
Funny how although Steve has way better lifting strength, terrarian would still solo Minecraft low diff in combat strength. The warden only is as strong as an early hardmode mob, and so is like every actually strong mob in Minecraft. A good reforged wooden sword goes toe to toe with an unenchanted netherite sword as well Minecraft still has better minion A.I tho 💀
Couple main things need updating/changing/clarification: 1) Strength, the terrarians block limit is now 9999 not 999 so yeah... 2) Throwing, yes he can not throw as far as the Steve but the Terrarian is capable of throwing objects as heavy as a spear made of the sun. Definite win on the throwing side
Bottomless water bucket as well. Would literally weigh infinite in weight, so Terrarian gets strength. And, the daybreak is stated to be a spear of light, light technically has no mass, so wouldn’t matter. The Terrarian does still throw things harder though, so gets the point. Technically speaking the solar eruption is a weapon that is thrown out and called back to the player, it’s tool tip states it to strike with the fury of the sun, so is fairer to assume it is actively made from the sun, so would weigh an incredible sum.
I believe in the fact that Steve has more natural physicals abilities and can craft decent things but that the Terrarian thrives much more through their ability to craft insane weapons items, and accessories to boost their physicals abilities. A very interesting topic to think about. Great Video!
Lets compare a few more factors, yeah? just a heads up - I am massively biased towards the terrarian. Both the terrarian and steve are artisans of multiple crafts - they can weave (looms in both game), they are blacksmiths (anvil and crafting table), and survivability. the terrarian can fall 50 feet/15.24 meters (25 blocks) without taking damage, whereas steve can only tall 3 blocks until taking damage - the terrian can withstand further fall distances given that one block is a 1 cubic meter - steve can only fall 3 meters. both can easily negate fall damage by jumping in water. though a slightly unfair comparison, one can note that in abse vanilla, the weapons craftable in minecraft are very basic looking, whereas terrarian ones there's a far greater arsenaland style to each which would indicate a better ability of weaponsmithing - in fact, you can sort of see the skill level rise with the terrarian given how basic some of the early craftable weapons are compared to lategame ones. on the other hand, steve has a noted ability to dye banners however whichway he wants and make his own paintings unlike the terrarian - indicating a greater artistic skill. creating massive paintings that the terrarian could only commision or find. the terrarian is a much better cook though. and they can make ale. in a full late game equipment style battle, steve would likely easily be demolished, given how early game diamond is considered in terraria, crafted into a staff that only does 23 damage (which, if we make round downs into steve's health level taking into account a base terrarian's health being 100) 23 divided by 5 is only 4.6 unrounded - only slightly better than a wooden sword, unlike teh zenith(unforged) which when rounded down to steve's health level does 38 damage ignoring the massive dps it can record. steve can chug bottle after bottle of potion quite easily, which is somehting the terrarian can not, which is something we need to take into account. taking a melee based terrarian, netherite compared to solar flare is straight up just unfair. passive boosts to attack, attack speed and movement speed with a set bonus that allows a futher fixed damage reduction that sharges up from the defense damage reduction. netherite has a straight reduction of all damage by 80%, whereas terrarian defence is calculated by attack damage-defense x factor (referring to classic, expert or maste rmode. for the sake of this, let's go expert as it's the most commonly played version of terraria, where the factor is 0.75.) 78x0.75 is 58.5. only chips (because damage cant be knocked down to 0 in terraria) of steve's damage with a sword or axe could get through, while no matter what, steve will take damage with 80% reduction still leaving damage taken, though a shield can block it - but onyl for so long (see: zenith dps compared to a shields base durability of 336 (we're excluding any reforges so enchants shall be as well since they're similar in nature) totems of undying, golden apples and notch apples would help steve out quite a bti with regeneration and keeping in the match though, if steve was to win in this sort of match, it'd be through a battle of attrition i'd wager. however, dont forget about lategame terrarian having upwards of 600 health (rounded down to steve's level that's 120 health
I'd compare netherite to hellstone armour rather than solar flare. they're both found in the fiery area, and both require an "alloy" (if you can consider merging hellstone ore with obsidian to be an alloy) to craft the bars. plus, the late-game of terraria comes *much* later than minecraft, so if it were to be the case of them going off for an equal amount of time and gathering materials, I'd say that the terrarian isn't killing the moon lord in the time it takes for steve to gear up, so let's say that they're limited to pre-hardmode gear. this also means the terraria only has 400 health, which would equal 40 minecraft hearts. still stronger, but not *as* ridiculous. the night's edge with molten armour would deal 9.24 damage scaled for steve's health, around equal to netherite. however, the terrarian also has other gear to grab down in hell, such as the sunfury, dealing a whopping 62 damage - 12.4 damage in minecraft terms, or 6 hearts. however, steve has 1 advantage over the terrarian, and that's his shield. with is, he can block any damage pretty much infinitely unless hit by an axe, which breaks his shield. axes are pretty slow in terraria, and not particularly strong. the terrarian's best bet is to either wear the shield down with constant attacks or use a magic weapon like the flamelash to strike steve from behind, pressuring him into approaching and not using the shield. steve has the elytra in this relatively even battle, which could match and even outclass the mobility options the terrarian has at this stage of the game. steve could continually take shots at the terrarian with his bow - notably much faster in minecraft than terraria, making it hard to dodge, and potentially win. the terrarian, however, has gear that is much more suited for aerial opponents, due to the many flying creatures in the game. the previously mentioned flamelash could hunt steve down, although as it is entirely fire based (no physical parts) steve could probably drink a fire resistance potion to entirely negate that. the terrarian's guns could probably hit steve while he's airborne with good enough aim and summon weapons can often fly up to their targets to get them. with firework rockets steve would maybe be able to outrun them, though. the terraspark boots allow the terrarian to run significantly faster than steve, and when the elytra inevitably breaks from continuous use, steve will land right by the terrarian and can't keep running away. another way both are decently matched is in their uses of less direct combat. anyone who's played terraria knows how devastating a boulder is, and anybody who's been on 2b2t knows just how powerful end crystals are. however, the terrarian's explosives are objectively more powerful in general, as dynamite can be thrown with ease and can explode much faster, plus the fact that it can even destroy blocks that steve usually relies on as immune to explosions, like obsidian. steve also probably has better buffs and debuffs at his disposal. steve has the splash potion of harming, which ignores armour and will deal a straight 3 hearts to the terrarian (60 terraria damage) if it directly hits him. minecraft poison is also much stronger, dealing 5 damage repeatedly to the terrarian at a fast rate and leaves him with only 1 hp left, letting steve easily finish them off. steve can also infinitely chug healing potions (as you said) as well as golden apples, meaning steve could probably heal faster than the terrarian can do damage. steve also has access to potions of strength, giving him a large damage boost that puts steve's damage output above what the terrarian can do. other splash potions, like slowness and weakness could cripple the terrarian, especially as he won't have access to the powerful ankh shield at this stage. the terrarian basically only has access to the "on fire!" debuff (which steve can evade with fire resistance) and the poison debuff, which steve could easily take as it only deals a measly 0.4 minecraft health per second, probably not enough to even register for him. stuff like ironskin potions, wrath potions and endurance potions aren't nearly as strong as in minecraft, meaning that it wouldn't help him to such an extent. the last point (which ultimately makes the terrarian seem like the most likely winner), is range. steve can reach four or five blocks in front of him, which is pretty much pathetic compared to the terrarian. they could pull out the musket, one of the weakest guns in the game, and still probably keep steve away long enough to kill him before he could get to them. steve could fire arrows or use a trident from afar, yes, but if the terrarian played in expert mode during preparation they'd have the shield of cthulu to work with, allowing them to dodge instantaneously. steve could maybe get hits in by throwing ender pearls and then running, but the terrarian could just fly above steve with the terraspark boots and fledgeling wings to stop that. steve's greatest shot at winning is digging thin, horizontal tunnels undergound and forcing the terrarian to fight in there, as in close quarters combat steve may be able to win. but in a large, open space then there's nothing he can do against the terrarian. tdlr: in late game the terrarian still probably wins, but it's closer than you'd first think
Another strong advantage the terrarian has is the ability to attack through blocks - if you encase yourself in a couple layers of obsidian, minecraft steve can't really do anything, meanwhile the terrarian has several options to fight back
It’s good that you chose 5 tests and not 6, as a sixth one that could be done is crafting capability. In this one, despite needing much more advanced tools to do so compared to Steve, the Terrarian easily wins out due to the shear number of things they can craft with their bare hands, a couple at most barely processed materials, and a small platform. The Terrarian also has the ability to combine most accessories and some weapons, something that Steve doing will only increase durability, and the Terrarian combining weapons causes the resulting product to not only be more powerful but in some cases, several times more. This would let the Terrarian easily win out and this results in the Terrarian and Steve tying for first.
@@aceoftheer Steve needs furnaces, cartography tables, grindstones, anvils, smithing tables, cauldrons, looms, and workbenches. Not as many things as the Terrarian but still quite a few more than just the workbench
Actually, the terrarian can jump up 7 blocks because he can step up one. Infinite musket pouch and water bucket make strength *not even close.* The terrarian can lift INFINITE WEIGHT. 55 objects with infinite weight, as a matter of fact. And, technically, the safe, defenders forge, and piggy bank store stuff in them which the Terrarian would also carry.
Unfortunately, items such as the infinite musket pouch and bottomless water bucket most likely hold their resources in some other pocket dimension instead of in the terrarian’s inventory, so the actual weight of those infinite items would only be the weight of the things holding the resources (the pouch or the bucket)
@@stardustcell Valid point, but have you considered the fact that maybe that isn't the case? There is another void item but these don't seem to have any similarities.
@@DarkShard5728 well yeah so i assume the pouch isnt like a pocket dimension its magic so it probably just creates musket rounds doesnt mean theres an infinite amount of bullets in it at all times
In 1.4.4, you can fill defenders forges with thrones (9999 stacks) and then fill inventory with stacked defenders forges (you can stack forges so i am treating it like you would an ender chest) This gives an insane number of 64 quadrillion lbs (Something like 30 quadrillion kg)
In the strength test you forgot about fallen stars and solar fragments Surly fragments of stars are heavier than some gold Also you can make solar fragments into a solar monolith (requires 15 fragments) and in total 14 985 solar fragments in one inventory space That's 764 235 solar fragments in one inventory Also there is the money trough when used it comes out of the terrarian implying that he holds it (this is debatable if it counts) AND in 1.4.4 the terrarian will be able (probably) to hold 7 642 350 solar fragments. . . Edit: The weight of each solar fragment is 4977.57kg so the terrarian can hold 3 804 033 208.95kg of solar monoliths. And now that 1.4.4 has come out the terrarian can hold 38 040 332 089.5kg of solar mass. Additionally it can hurl the daybreak (of which weighs 89 596.26kg) at around 422 km/h. For context the FASTEST HELICOPTER moves at a top speed of 483 km/h. I'd say terrarian easily wins for strength alone sources: terrasteels If the Daybreak were real, it would be a weapon of mass destruction video and aeroaffaires.com
the issue with that is that you're working off a lot of assumptions about what certain items are. we actually have no clue what solar fragments even are, they could be actual fragments of stars but they also might not be. and fallen stars are very clearly not the same stars from our universe so who's to say they're of similar density. using things like real life metals is a much more solid way of gauging their strength as we know precisely how dense those metals are. regardless the terrarian still wins as of 1.4.4 anyway with the new max stack capacity
Steve: Netherite gear and elytra! Terrarian: Gun. Sword. Wand. And a toothpick combining all the power of eldritch horrors, gods and the hardest materials in the world. I see this as a fair fight!
The difference seems to be mostly due to the difference in dimensions, Minecraft is 3D, while Terraria is 2D. Notice that every 3D game (I can think of) has a shorter jump than every 2D game (that I know of), that's because 2-dimensional space needs to be easier to traverse, so characters get a higher jump. Also, I just wanted to say that the terrarian is often depicted slaying beings more powerful than any boss in Minecraft, while it's true (except for the Bedrock wither, that's beyond Soulslike bosses level), the end poem (that has the best music) in Minecraft shows how the player has ascended after slaying the ender dragon.
Saying no assistive items allowed then including shulkers just hurts man. ik he only said no armor accessories or drugs, and they technically don't raise his strength or reduce weight but it still feels like cheating.
Now that I think about it, shulkers can his you with something that makes you less than weightless. What if this applies to the contents of shulker boxes? Holy moly this could completely invalidate a huge chunk of the "steve is so strong he can carry this much" debate. someone who knows minecraft lore and flavor text pls fact check this !!
People always count the crafting slots as an additional amount Steve can carry, but really I think he's at his limit trying to hold those. He can hold those extra 4, yes, but not while running, jumping, or even moving, so it seems rather pointless to include them.
ik everyone is talking about the things that were tested, and im not saying that this should be tested as well, but can we talk about health? steve has a max amount of 36 health (with god apple absorption) while the terrarian begins their journey with 100 max health and can steadliy increase that up to 600 (including lifeforce potions).
Strength - terrarian terraria can carry 9999 a slot and he have 51 slots and coins slots. Speed - terrarian empress of light is faster than light and terrarian can go face to face against her and win and be near the same speed as her. Jump - terrarian terrarian can also equip accessories to jump higher like double jump so yea. Throwing - terrarian daybreak-am i a joke to you? Swimming - Steve no explanation needed.
the terraria would theoretically win the majority of all tests, and im being biased but in a simple turn based combat, terrarian with preboss gear would win vs max steave
@@maxifire32 if you want to go that far, the terrarian can technically travel between infinite dimensions by switching worlds, and he can summon way more eldritch horrors than Steve would ever dream of
The player in minecraft only has bows and swords, the player in terraria has access to an arsenal of real weapons and an arsenal of fictional weapons including but not limited to literal guns, a sword that is made of many swords, summoned creatures, and a magical doll that summons tendrils of purple fire
While I agree with your outcome its important to know that lifting weight and strength or at least striking power are different things because of stuff like technique, skill, ect But considering the Terrarian can't punch its still solid L
You didn’t count external storage for the terrarian, but still allowed Steve to use shulkers? Personally I think that shulkers shouldn’t be counted in this test.
the money trough summons a flying piggy bank, so the terrarian doesn't actually carry the piggy bank, just a tool to summon it. the defenders forge and safe both don't have items that you can use from the inventory directly, you have to place them down for the items to physically be interactable, if you were to argue that the player can carry the physical blocks, this wouldn't make logical sense as you can carry multiple safes and forges, yet you can only access 1 inventory at most. shulkers are very obvious as to how they work, you put items inside and they compact into your inventory, so steve is still carrying the items, with terraria, its way more vague, you cannot directly ever see whats in the inventory of a safe, piggy bank, forge, or void vault until they're directly placed out of your inventory, there is clearly some sort of magic going on here, as the terrarian isn't directly carrying these items, moreso of a portal to access the items from another space. however, with 1.4.4 coming out, stack sizes are being increased to 9999 for most items, so the terrarian would absolutely demolish steve now either way
@@terrariaskeletonpre1.0.39 thats not fair, its not the terrarians fault they didnt add a counterpart to shulkers that wouldnt be gameplay efficient just like the shulkers
@@terrariaskeletonpre1.0.39 but shulkers are a gravity defying creature from another dimension that can teleport. there's gotta be a reason why a chest can't be carried with it's stuff inside it but a shulker box can despite both being able to hold the same amount of items. I agree with the terrarian items being disqualified for the same reason but I think shulker boxes can completely fall into the magic category.
@@Auradahb8be i don't think it's really fair to say shulkers are "gravity defying", at the very least, shulker shells and boxes act like any other item in terms of gravity when dropped out of the inventory the big difference is that steve physically holds the shulker box that contains the items while the terrarian's external storage is never directly inside the inventory and acts more like a wormhole or gateway to their storage interface
Why are shulker boxes counted as inventory but not the extended inventory like the safe or piggy bank in Terraria? You can carry safes and piggy banks in Terraria and when placed down they hold all the items there. Also since the 1.4.4 update, one slot holds up to 9999, which is 10 times the maximum when this video was made, and thrones stack up to 9999 as well, so Terrarian is 100 times stronger than he is in this video, which means he's around 5 or 6 times the strength of Steve, even with shulker boxes, and assuming that netherite scraps weigh the same or a bit heavier than gold ingots.
Along with 1.4.4’s item limit, people are COMPLETELY forgetting about piggy banks , they hold another 40 slots!, and you may say that you don’t carry piggy banks but you can pick them up and move them regardless of the items within
you missed out something quite important. Fallen stars. a star itself is estimated to weigh about 100 solar masses, which is about 1.989e+32 if google is to be trusted... thats for a single star.... the terrarian can hold up to 999 fallen stars in 1 inventory slot alone..
the fallen stars are smaller than a meteor, if they were 100 solar masses, each is far below the schwarzschild radius, meaning it would turn into a black hole and destroy everything
You didnt choose the heaviest item in terraria tho, you are forgetting the solar fragments which are a piece of the sun so might just maybe be a bit heavier.
Steve still will probably win strength as far as lifting power (as of pre 1.4.4) but terrarian would destroy steve in literally everything unless we allow steve to use commands in which probably wouldn't be allowed.
@@CloutmasterPhluphyy It's a bit like the Infinity Gauntlet. It can only be used in the universe it was made in. If used in another universe, it won't work.

which means, the terrarian would win strength... by default
What this actually means is that terraria snowballs are much heavier than in Minecraft and likewise with eggs.

Minecraft Rabbit = Terraria Bunny
3 MChp = 5Thp
1 MChp = 5/3 Thp
1 Thp = 3/5 MChp
Alright, now the Wooden sword does 5 MChp of damage, that would be 8+1/3 Thp
Meanwhile the Wooden Sword in Terraria does 7 Thp of damage. (If you made a Palm Wood Sword it does 8 Thp of damage)
Now if we look at the strongest weapon in minecraft, the netherite sword, it does 9 MChp of damage, that's equivalent to 15 Thp of damage.
Here's what happens if we change our base premise from
Minecraft Rabbit = Terraria bunny
to
Maxed Drugged Steve = Maxed Drugged Terrarian
20+16 (from an Enchanted golden apple) = 500+100 (from the Life Force potion)
36 MChp = 600 Thp
1 MChp = 50/3 Thp
1 Thp = 3/50 MChp
Alright, now the Wooden sword does 5 MChp of damage, that would be
5 MChp = 83+1/3 Thp
So a Minecraft wooden sword is equivalent to a Keybrand used on a full health enemy
Now if we look at the strongest weapon in minecraft, the netherite sword, it does 9 MChp of damage, that's equivalent to 150 Thp of damage.

For the strength factor, it's actually a tie. Both characters can put down some water with a bucket, then craft/fill as much water bottles as they want without worrying about running out of water. This implies that water buckets, in both games, have infinite weight
The bottomless water bucket is infinity squared then.
i dont think it really counts to say "infinite" because in both cases the water bucket itself isn't infinite, its self replenishing, which is a big difference
however, the terraria character literally has an item called "infinite water bucket", so i suppose thats point to the terrarian then
@@terrariaskeletonpre1.0.39 The Terrarian also has the infinite lava bucket with would weigh more since lava is molten rock

i understand wanting a constant variable between the two, using gold, however there are many more items in terraria that weigh far more than gold, for example, the celestial fragments can be assumed to be at least fragments of stars, which the terrarian can carry with ease, even with them being a fraction of a star at that, a star weighs 100 solar masses, which is probably a little bit heavier than gold.
again, you can't tell what fragments are, maybe they are as thin as souls, how can you tell?
@@thewitchidolsachika6682 simple. "solar" refers to the sun, and the sun is a star, a solar fragment translates to "a fragment of the sun", ergo its a fragment of a star.

in the upcoming terraria update, most items will stack up to 9999, meaning the Terrarian will be holding more weight at the max than Steve does
Couple main things need updating/changing/clarification:
1) Strength, the terrarians block limit is now 9999 not 999 so yeah...
@@mathias3640 i think the bottomless water bucket is presumably magic
I believe in the fact that Steve has more natural physicals abilities and can craft decent things but that the Terrarian thrives much more through their ability to craft insane weapons items, and accessories to boost their physicals abilities.
A very interesting topic to think about. Great Video!
Lets compare a few more factors, yeah?
just a heads up - I am massively biased towards the terrarian.
Both the terrarian and steve are artisans of multiple crafts - they can weave (looms in both game), they are blacksmiths (anvil and crafting table), and survivability.
the terrarian can fall 50 feet/15.24 meters (25 blocks) without taking damage, whereas steve can only tall 3 blocks until taking damage - the terrian can withstand further fall distances given that one block is a 1 cubic meter - steve can only fall 3 meters. both can easily negate fall damage by jumping in water.
though a slightly unfair comparison, one can note that in abse vanilla, the weapons craftable in minecraft are very basic looking, whereas terrarian ones there's a far greater arsenaland style to each which would indicate a better ability of weaponsmithing - in fact, you can sort of see the skill level rise with the terrarian given how basic some of the early craftable weapons are compared to lategame ones. on the other hand, steve has a noted ability to dye banners however whichway he wants and make his own paintings unlike the terrarian - indicating a greater artistic skill. creating massive paintings that the terrarian could only commision or find.
the terrarian is a much better cook though. and they can make ale.
in a full late game equipment style battle, steve would likely easily be demolished, given how early game diamond is considered in terraria, crafted into a staff that only does 23 damage (which, if we make round downs into steve's health level taking into account a base terrarian's health being 100) 23 divided by 5 is only 4.6 unrounded - only slightly better than a wooden sword, unlike teh zenith(unforged) which when rounded down to steve's health level does 38 damage ignoring the massive dps it can record.
steve can chug bottle after bottle of potion quite easily, which is somehting the terrarian can not, which is something we need to take into account.
taking a melee based terrarian, netherite compared to solar flare is straight up just unfair. passive boosts to attack, attack speed and movement speed with a set bonus that allows a futher fixed damage reduction that sharges up from the defense damage reduction.
netherite has a straight reduction of all damage by 80%, whereas terrarian defence is calculated by attack damage-defense x factor (referring to classic, expert or maste rmode. for the sake of this, let's go expert as it's the most commonly played version of terraria, where the factor is 0.75.)
78x0.75 is 58.5. only chips (because damage cant be knocked down to 0 in terraria) of steve's damage with a sword or axe could get through, while no matter what, steve will take damage with 80% reduction still leaving damage taken, though a shield can block it - but onyl for so long (see: zenith dps compared to a shields base durability of 336 (we're excluding any reforges so enchants shall be as well since they're similar in nature)
totems of undying, golden apples and notch apples would help steve out quite a bti with regeneration and keeping in the match though, if steve was to win in this sort of match, it'd be through a battle of attrition i'd wager.
however, dont forget about lategame terrarian having upwards of 600 health (rounded down to steve's level that's 120 health
You forgot that the quick buff button allow terrarian to drink 22 potion at once, and terrarian eat the glass bottle unlike steve.
What about TNT propelled arrows, that can break fully enchanted netherite gear, and potentially pass through blocks? :D
Another strong advantage the terrarian has is the ability to attack through blocks - if you encase yourself in a couple layers of obsidian, minecraft steve can't really do anything, meanwhile the terrarian has several options to fight back
@@deimantaslapiniauskas7388 Not true, a TNT railgun can be modified with Endermen, causing the arrow to pass through blocks.

Terraria would take the win by multiplying his strength 10x
It’s good that you chose 5 tests and not 6, as a sixth one that could be done is crafting capability. In this one, despite needing much more advanced tools to do so compared to Steve, the Terrarian easily wins out due to the shear number of things they can craft with their bare hands, a couple at most barely processed materials, and a small platform. The Terrarian also has the ability to combine most accessories and some weapons, something that Steve doing will only increase durability, and the Terrarian combining weapons causes the resulting product to not only be more powerful but in some cases, several times more. This would let the Terrarian easily win out and this results in the Terrarian and Steve tying for first.
the terrarian needs different workbenches to craft most of the impressive items, and all steve needs is a wooden workbench
@@aceoftheer Steve needs furnaces, cartography tables, grindstones, anvils, smithing tables, cauldrons, looms, and workbenches. Not as many things as the Terrarian but still quite a few more than just the workbench

Terrarian in 1.4.4: *Behold, my 9999 thrones in one slot!*
Technically both steve and terrarian can make infinite water by using just a few inventory slots so I would give them a tie
In the strength test you forgot about fallen stars and solar fragments
Surly fragments of stars are heavier than some gold
Also you can make solar fragments into a solar monolith (requires 15 fragments) and in total 14 985 solar fragments in one inventory space
That's 764 235 solar fragments in one inventory
Also there is the money trough when used it comes out of the terrarian implying that he holds it (this is debatable if it counts)
AND in 1.4.4 the terrarian will be able (probably) to hold 7 642 350 solar fragments. .
I'd say terrarian easily wins for strength alone
sources: terrasteels If the Daybreak were real, it would be a weapon of mass destruction video and aeroaffaires.com
the issue with that is that you're working off a lot of assumptions about what certain items are. we actually have no clue what solar fragments even are, they could be actual fragments of stars but they also might not be. and fallen stars are very clearly not the same stars from our universe so who's to say they're of similar density. using things like real life metals is a much more solid way of gauging their strength as we know precisely how dense those metals are. regardless the terrarian still wins as of 1.4.4 anyway with the new max stack capacity

Labor of love terraria update will change almost all items 2 stack to 9999 so terrarinlan would win in that regard at that point
The terraria carrying thousands of stars:
the terraria would theoretically win the majority of all tests, and im being biased but in a simple turn based combat, terrarian with preboss gear would win vs max steave

@@mmfreshmeat2860
but not the third dimention. haha..
In my opinion, the test of who can carry more isn't about strength, its about inventory space
Literally give the Terrarian any swinging weapon post-skeletron and they'd win effortlessly
The player in minecraft only has bows and swords, the player in terraria has access to an arsenal of real weapons and an arsenal of fictional weapons including but not limited to literal guns, a sword that is made of many swords, summoned creatures, and a magical doll that summons tendrils of purple fire
Out of all of those, only the Shadowflame Hex Doll was specific.
Yea but the Terrarian has a gun
The Terrarian can now carry 9999 thrones in each stack so he now can carry around 30,000,000,000 lbs.
What about the bottomless water/lava buckets? Wouldnt they have infinite weight?
While I agree with your outcome its important to know that lifting weight and strength or at least striking power are different things because of stuff like technique, skill, ect
But considering the Terrarian can't punch its still solid L
its not that he cant punch, its just that he knows if he does punch he would split the entire universe asunder
i mean i wouldnt consider steve an expert boxer or swordfighter since he just flails his arm around to swing
@@terrariaskeletonpre1.0.39 hes stronger than friking saitama
@@momoavatar4960 he can punch through literal stone with just his fists, whatever technique he's using, it works
Never seen someone miss that hard before
People really think that a platinum chair weighs more than a Star💀
i think lihzahrd blocks are the heaviest block in terraria since it takes the most pickaxe power to mine which likely means its the most dense
Bottomless buckes and Endless ammo which exists in terraria making the whole calculation useless
@@Auradahb8be i don't think it's really fair to say shulkers are "gravity defying", at the very least, shulker shells and boxes act like any other item in terms of gravity when dropped out of the inventory
the big difference is that steve physically holds the shulker box that contains the items while the terrarian's external storage is never directly inside the inventory and acts more like a wormhole or gateway to their storage interface
you picked thrones for some reason… how about a full inventory of 999 platinum bars/ any other heavy item?
Because a throne is crafted from 30 platinum bars and a stack of thrones is 99, it's more platinum per inventory slot (30 x 99).
99 thrones are made from 2970 platinum bars (about 3x as heavy)
wouldnt something thats crafted with tungsten be heavier than thrones? 1 cubic inch of tungsten is about 54 pounds, while platinum is around 1 pound.
platinum is denser than tungsten, your values are wrong.
1 cubic cm of tungsten is 19.3 grams, while 1 cubic cm of platinum is 21.45 grams

Why is Steve allowed shulker boxes but the terrarian isn't allowed vaults and piggy banks?
Bottomless water bucket shows that terrarian is stronger in lifting strength
cant terrarian literally hold pieces if the sun??
Don't forget that the terrarian can wear solar flare armor and not immediately melt
I would personally adjust for the independent player sizes
Along with 1.4.4’s item limit, people are COMPLETELY forgetting about piggy banks , they hold another 40 slots!, and you may say that you don’t carry piggy banks but you can pick them up and move them regardless of the items within
Time to beg Relogic for swimming

Shuler boxes are clearly extradimensional and don't have a weight outside the box itself.
Imagine after fighting
They go have a beer at the roblox bar
you forgot. 1.4.4/1.4.9/1.5 will be adding 9999 stack limit so. but i guess you can count like that for now
Assuming I did the math correctly, with the new 1.4.4 stack limit, the Terrarian can hold 80 016 627 941.3 kg in thrones.
Well i mean in terraria, a glory boomerang deals more damage than a sharp 5 netherite sword in minecraft

fun fact: 9999 platinum bars are heavier then 30 thrones

Excluding buffs armour weapons potions etc is unfair since terraria shines in those departments
its not comparing the worlds and their buffs, its comparing the individual players at their base forms without any outside influence
bottomless water bucket has infinite weight though
genius
eh depends on how it works
so we are gonna ignore the fact that the terrarian can hold onto 9999 stars in each slot?

The crafting recipe no longer exists
*the bottomless bucket of water has left the chat*
actually the fallen star may contain entire weight of a star and u can stack 9999 of them in your inventory
Please do more of this.
you missed out something quite important.
@@aceoftheer even stll with being smaller, stars are still extremely heavy, and the terrarian can carry stacks of 999

@@CloutmasterPhluphyy It's a bit like the Infinity Gauntlet. It can only be used in the universe it was made in. If used in another universe, it won't work.

Actually, the terrarian has the infinite ammo bag and the infinite quiver, this means the terrarian can hold infinite weight.
Terraria’s stack limit is 9999 now so how much is gonna be now?
Steve can hold the entire multiverse in his inventory
So can the terrarian, with defender glforges and similar items
Huh? how is that so? 1 Block of gold is a fraction of the entire multiverse? that makes no sense
The terrarian can hold 9999 stars in each slot, the inventory has 40 slots, 9999 * 40 = 399,960, then we have the piggy bank which also has 40 slots so 399,960 + 399,960 = 799,920 and then a safe also 40 slots, 799,920 + 399,960 = 1,199,880 million fallen stars
Don't include the inventory here, terrarian is superior in every way in terms of inventory, also the zenith is much stronger than the netherite sword, even if the netherite sword had sharpness like 10
Why? terrarian beats a COLOSSAL GOD
Steve beats a dragon
I wonder which one is stronger!!!
TL:DR = terrarian can hold 1,199,880 million fallen stars and terraria can beat a colossal god whilst steve can just beat a dragon.
