- Finally somebody is bringing an STG 44 to market in something other than a .22LR! Palmetto State Armory released a new line called the "Battlefield Series" in which they will be trying to recreate many many firearms that were seen in WW2. I for one am incredibly excited and definitely hoping to possibly find an MG42, semi auto for less than the price of a used car!
Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!
How do you thinkin this replica/recreation will stack up against the orignal?
Is this something you could see yourself dishing out some cash for?
What other WW2 firearms would you like to see recreated?
UPDATE: PSA/HMG have confirmed calibers to be 8mm Kurtz, 7.62x39, .300 AAC, 5.56!

confirmed 8mm Kurz. PSA is teaming up with Hornady for brass and reloading dies
Looks like you're correct! I got an update that PSA is planning 5.56, .300 AAC, and good old 8mm Kurtz!
That’s awesome thanks for sharing
You bet. I've had my eyes on the GSG .22 version. But again, its just not the same!
Id love one but for the reported $2k ill just get the .22lr version lol
Gotta admit, I was really hoping for a lower price tag myself. Then again, HMG had advertised them at $1,799. Due to lack of funding and essentially zero production, they wound up refunding the money to everybody who pre-ordered. Fortunately PSA stepped up to pick up the rights and produce in tandem with HMG. Finally it will be brought to the masses. We've only been waiting years for it to come to market! The .22lr version is awesome though, regardless. A little pricey in terms of .22's, but it definitely is a conversation starter.
Want to see a PPsh 41 in a 357, because the ballistics are extremely similar to the 7.62x25
That's one I'd love to see. Obviously can find em in 9mm. But a .357 would be awesome for sure.
No 8mm? I can't believe that. PPU makes cheep ammo now.
Sorry, I sent an update in the description. PSA did in facr confirm an 8mm will be brought to production!
I would love one ! A friend Has an original and its awesome to shoot, i wonder what the price will be for these?
According to HMG, they will be north of $2,000. Would love to see them be able to bring that price down a little and make it more affordable to more customers!
