'School Days' remains the anthem of my life, probably my favourite piece of music for the last 46 years - brilliant to hear this live version of it. Thanks for posting the concert
been to this place on several occasion and it is one my my most favorite places for Jazz . Yes Stanley at Newport.
Absolutely incredible show!
I just love reading you guys remarks a having the feeling that I am not alone in my Jersey motel room.
This was the last concert and it started to rain just before the show ended. It was a beautiful weekend.
Really?
Growing up learning the base guitar Stanley Clark was one of my brother's greatest musical influences so it was only natural that I grew up listening to him too. still to this day. my favourite Stanley Clarke Track is one of his jazz rock instrumentals from Stanley Clarke (album) Part IV - 6:41
This is so amazing

Thanx for sharing. I'm at El Torito having margaritas, I feel like it's jazz in the park.

See you at the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival in two weeks
6/1/2022 at 5:30p. Looking forward to some good old Jazz
I agree when someone gives credit to the composing features of Charles Mingus. Better yet, ERIC DOLPHY, a freak of nature as far as his brilliance on flute and bass clarinet had a short, well-spent life as a diabetic coma hit him during on the Mingus tours of Europe and another R.I.P. Also, I picked up Freddie Hubbard along those years when seriously researching the age of jazz/blues/R&B...which is Ray Sings while Count Basic swings, Ie. R & B. The best to well-informed writers in any idiom or type/style of music.
Still alive? Kind of.
great players!
god bless!
Check out the setting yachts anchored in port for the show, cool
Good Music!
The First One iT GREAT...!
Hey wow kid from Denmark, you did a cool Now's The Time horn impression, I guess by using a short stroke of the bow, it was uncanny - and then you got to be Ray Gomez for a minute on School Days - good for you sir
33.30 onwards some good stuff ;) ;) love the bass and VIOLIN
YAEH STANLEY PLAY IT!
SUPER,SUPER FERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He, really is a nice man,so simple
See you in Wilmington 6/15/2022
Good Times T.V. show and the JeffersonsT.V. show Movin onUp theme song singer, songwriter, and actress, the late Ja'net Dubois UA-cam song, Me Myself and I drummer Marc Hicks. While Janet Jackson was also taping the Good Times show with Dubois, I, and other session players were with Dubois across from Capitol records. After the session, I successfully auditioned for the late Street Life Crusaders sax man, Wilton Felder, who also appeared with Stanley in Japan, and Stanley also working with Larry Carlton at the Greek.(former Crusader guitarist). My album, as supervised by Felder, Destination Learning Solstice, is now available on Amazon and other services. Photos of Felder and me as well as upcoming album info is at(my name backwards) Hicks Marc at Twitter and Facebook. Thank you for your support.Stanley Clarke, great bass player, and composer!!

Does this first song have a name? Is it on any of his albums? That's a badass tune!

Gerry Brown
Stop speaking Spanish.
Not that is a Jazz concert the great Stanley Clarke yeah!
That Danish violinist is great and his instrument looks very cool anyone know what it's called
Think it's just an electronic violin
It took me 5 minuts to realise there is another bassplayer, he is way too low in the mix.
very bad mix! what a mess :(
anyone know all the musicians playing in this?
30:54 sick!
Oh my! I almost had the big "O" watching and listening to that African bass player!!!! Haha.
hi miss Haris
it's me, Ava
I didn't no u had a youtube channel
ajib….
Stanley s having a gas
Porin Jazzin paras ikinä !
they turned the 2nd bass player down so much it´s not even funny at least up to 15:00
56:55 at .25x speed
Has to be intimidating to be the “other bass player”
Possibly, but Stanley is so cool & encouraging he inspires you to be your best, with confidents, as you can see.
Ja'net Dubois Me Myself and I UA-cam song drummer Marc Hicks. My album, Destination Learning Solstice, supevise by Felder is on Amazon. you can listen to the samples of the songs for free at marchicks.hearnow.com/.
2:17 a rat runs across the stage.
at the very beginning you can tell it's actually heads that are going across like that :D
Pmsl
Charles Buchanan Very funny
wow you're sharp
Oh what a Double Bass play.
the clapton of bass
Are you stupid?!
Clapton is nowhere near Stanley's level.
Stanley is my hero but sandals ? Stanley more chic.
very bad sound technician during the concert! my mother how bad !!!! turn up those lows ..! cannot be heard! And that violin, what is he doing so high? What a bad mix. what a mess!
Violin could've used a little 'verb at least. But I could hear everything.
Is it me or did the violin sound a wee out of tune? Dude was still a badass no doubt or disrespect
