How many adjectives could there possibly be to describe this performance. In all my my 50+ years of listening to music of all kinds, including Return To Forever, I have never heard such an amazing live performance with just two musicians. This performance is simply stunning! The interplay and communication between these two geniuses is a sight to behold. Wonderful!!!

While i celebrate this jam on "Sometime Ago" the classic baseline that formed so many of the most famous Chick Corea and Return to Forever improvs, i cant lose sight of yesterdays loss of Chick Corea to cancer. The music world has suffered another great loss he lives forever through my 35 years of listening and following to Return to Forvever. Live on my brother--thank you for your legacy.

Of all nice charming delightful Latin music Chick could invent the very best of it all in the very most virtuoso way displaying genius devotion. Searching and exploring to express freely. We were able to take a great thing for granted in the Seventies with the awesome quartet! Love Stanley's acoustic bass. Such macho control of a vast array of different levels of musical portrait power! Lots of beautiful music. They really unleashed and liberated torrents of delight and thrilling pleasures for serious music lovers. Hallelujah!

As an electric bassist, Stanley is a fun-loving guy who always throws it down good. But as an acoustic bassist, he is one serious cat, second to nobody. There are great acoustic bassists in the world, and then there is Stanley Clarke in a class all his own, who makes playing that most difficult instrument appear easy. As for Chick, well, what more can be said that already hasn't been said and then some. Right now he's resting easy in music heaven alongside the rest of the all-time greats from the past.

My two favorite musicians period. There is a Connection between these two like none I've ever seen between musicians. Speechless when It comes to describing their virtuosity, intellectual interpretation, and ethereal interplay. As for seeing Stanley Clarke play about 30 something years ago in Tacoma Washington at the University of Puget Sound Fieldhouse he came with a drummer and a piano player and himself I have never in my life seen anyone play on that level most of the people in attendance were all musical professionals educators teachers business owners and musicians when the concert was over I noticed no one was saying a word they all had a look or stare on her face that I would say Was disbelief or even one of bewilderment or shock it was like an atomic bomb ent off, people didn't know how to describe the experience .Stanley totally shook everyone's musical intellect in disbelief once again I have never seen anyone play on that level even today I have not

Exactly right, Dimitrije.........Bata Kovacz was sitting next to me and remained kinda speechless. However, I still find many of HIS compositions a mastery of fusion.
Some people ARE music. A few years ago I witnessed Chick Corea making jazz musicians of the entire audience . On other occasion I watched him playing a tune that lasted about hour and a half (if not full two hours) switching between Mozart and his own, endlessly, seamlessly and never boring in the least.
