The ONLY thing holding me back from getting an Android is iMessage :/ I use it and rely on it so much that I don't think I could confidently switch to Android without it. I was really disappointed when Apple (unsurprisingly) didn't release iMessage for Android.

I just bought the Galaxy s7 edge and only had it for 4 days. I switched back to an iphone 6s plus just because of the simple fact i dont like android software and all the gimmicks that you wont even use at all, dont get me wrong its a nice phone but when it comes to a good solid phone with out the gimmicks, iphone will always be on top, just being honest

I had the 6s and on some websites it was just to small to even show the whole screen on certain things that I was trying to read and also pics. The 6s plus is def the way to go and I promise you won't look back to a smaller phone ✌🏽️

Or Apple buy cheap hardware to save money and they won't put good amounts of RAM on their Iphones... which would suck.

having owned both the Samsung is considerably better. the iPhone 6s just isn't different enough to the iPhone 6 and the force touch thing is gimmicky. the screen, memory, camera and functionality of the s7 easily out punch the iPhone. oh and water proofing. hallelujah

I have iphone 6s Plus. Galaxy S7 design is 1000% better. I love it. Probably i will be selling my iphone. See there are good apple users who appreciate android phone if they are done correctly like this. Still i prefer ios over android. But on the hardware side this design and features like wireless charging ,amoled,superior auto focus camera(currently best on the market) and screen to body ratio is epic win. Well done Samsung.
I just switch from my 6s plus to the 7 edge and this phone is really good I like it better there are some features from the iPhone I miss but as you can see it didn't keep me from getting the 7 edge

+MrFranchise82 the Samsung keyboard actually had that feature for a while. You have to go in the keyboard settings. The only thing you can't use swipe to type if you turn it on.

My friend has nexus 5 and android has that stupid bug when you are at home,it won't connect automatically to wi fi network, it connects only when you swipe down notifications and than it connects.. I ordered the s7 edge and returned it. The phone was gorgeous, camera was great, and the screen was the best I've ever seen. But at the end of the day it's still clunky old Android. The phone lagged out of the box. All the Samsung crap only gives u about 16 gig of storage on the phone out of the box. Doze mode didn't seem to help me with battery life. I ended up going back to my 6s plus. Just my personal opinion I believe the problem is Android not the phone. The phone is a powerhouse, but Android apps (the ones I use) run poorly and can't compare to their iOS counterparts. I like the idea behind Android, but the execution of the way it does several things is clunky and inexcusable to me. Not saying the iPhone is perfect, far from it, but overall stability, polish, quality of apps, on time updates, better video quality @ 1080p 60fps, I gotta roll with the iPhone. I quick charge my phone with the iPad charger. It's fast! People say it damages your battery but that has yet to be proven.

Well u can doubt all u want. I ordered the device the day Pre-orders went live. I got it on March 3rd. I got the device and it just didn't live up to my expectations. Problem is most Android Fanboys go by specs on Paper and not real world performance. Even the some of the most hardcore Android reviewers will tell u Android performance is still laggy and not where it needs to be at this point. I'm not a fanboy of either like the person above in the comments, i'm a fan of Tech in general, and in my opinion it's not where it should be.

For the price Apple demands they really ought to give its users more even if you won't be needing the "specs". You read about the update problems Apple is having with bugs with older iPhones & this is largely due to the lack of "specs" on these older iPhones. I like that android offer devices with "crazy" specs & I feel much better knowing why I'm paying that much money. The reason I doubt you returned the S7 is because you say it didn't perform to your expectations & the 6s+ does. May I ask what exactly are you trying to do with the S7 that isn't working to your liking?
Let me start by saying I definitely agree with alot that u just said. I do wish apple would "loosen" their grip on things and give the consumer what they ask for rather than what Apple feels they should have. Some of the areas where Android was falling short was with editing and sending video. Imovie and IMessage make it easy to send large high quality videos through texts. The other issues I was having was with Android wear. The app support is so limited. U can only reply to certain messages with the watch And u have to use your phone more often than not. I was having a problem playing some high intensity games on the s7. NBA 2k16 was pretty much unplayable. Instagram was laggy and buggy. I had several force closes with the camera. A phone with 4 gig's of ram shouldn't behave this way. It's not just the S7 though. Android operates like this as a whole. I'm not bashing Android, just giving the opinion based off of my experiences. I believe Android has great potential, but it's just not there yet in my experience. Lots of apple haters accuse me of bashing it. I can give several things I like about Android, but I bet Android fan boys can't say one good thing about an iOS product. Half of them never even used an iPhone before. The other thing I didn't like on the s7 was the 1080p @60fps, it looks like you're recording underwater. Everything had a fishbowl effect. But I must say the phone took excellent still shots.

i used both iphone 6s plus and samsung galaxy s7 edge and i honestly say that the s7 edge just blew my mind. i tested both phones out to see which one i like more and the s7 edge won me over. it just looks a lot sexier than the iphone 6s plus. and in additional there is virtual reality for the s7 edge. i think samsung has the best homescreen display out there as well. i used be an apple user before in the past but i transfer over to s7 edge. im more attracted to the features on the s7 edge. i think by far it is the top phone in the market as of right now. apple needs to step up there game with the iphone 7 becuz im not impressed with the latest iphone
Probably going to pick up an S7 Edge next week when they're released. Love my iPhone 6S, but the S7 just has too many advantages over it: waterproof, wireless charging, superior battery life, microSD, better cameras, better design, better microphone.

I don't mind touchwiz, I don't like apple, but I like stock android and HTC sense, as the are very snappy and fast UI.
+Ted E Bear Touchwiz is laggy. I had the S5 and it was almost unusable at times. Even the photos app would randomly crash when I tried to open it. for some reason all the apps I use on my iPhone don't crash... iPhone does have it's lag moments, but at least they can be fixed with a patch that you know you're going to get.

honestly, the 6S+ is the most uninspired cash grab on the market right now. embarrassing bezels, embarrassing PPI and no features that take advantage of the screen size. poor.
The Samsung is way superior in design, hardware... but it has Android OS...I don't like that, the device is premium+, but the iOS is more simple.

With the Apple iPhone 6s, you get just that- the iPhone 6s and that by itself is an awesome device. But with the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, you get a lot more in terms of personality of the device, some of it you might just hate, but nonetheless there exists that personality. And the Resolution and the Camera and the Curved screen, I prefer the Galaxy S7 Edge more.
I think I should wait for the note 6 because I have a note 4 right now and I absolutely love it and the only reason why I didn't upgrade to the note 5 is because of the lack of external storage options and if the note 6 comes with water resistance as well then it will be a complete device ( at least for me )

One reason not to buy S7 Edge for me - IT IS ANDROID
Full of crap applications with advertisements. I am an Android developer and I know how to steal data without any information to user. If any app is not compatible with hardware, your phone will get hang or start behaving slow. There are millions of apps in play store that are developed targeting particular android devices and tested on only few android devices out of thousands of devices available there in market.
If you talk about customization, you got the same customization features in all range of android phones. You will definitely not get any advantage when in comes to OS. But, yes on hardware side Samsung did an amazing job. S7 Edge looks really beautiful. If your phone does not have any private or confidential data and you love customization, you can go for S7 Edge. There are other hardware aspects where S7 completely beats iPhone 6S but, for me the OS really matters and I believe that iOS is more reliable and robust OS than Android.
2GB more RAM in S7 Edge don't make you feel any difference in performance. The edge is cool but, if you hold that phone in your hand, your palm will touch the side and the phone registers your palm as your finger touching the screen. Also, pressing key 1 is difficult unless you lay the phone flat in your palm or on a table
Now Samsung should really think about developing their own OS like iOS.

that was because of the snapdragon chips. Samsung said "FUCK YOU" to snapdragon and started to make their own chip known as the exynos. today, the Galaxy s7 or s7 edge from the US carriers are the ones that have snapdragon chips. if you go on bestbuy's website, you can buy a unlocked Galaxy s7 or s7 edge with three better exynos chip which w onto give you any problems.
plus, the reason 4 gb of ram helps is because it gives a better multitasking experience. by multitasking, I mean having two apps open in spulcreen view.

You are clueless. I own an Android phone myself, so I know what I'm talking about. iOS has its own issues, but it's much more efficient and doesn't need crazy specs to compensate for poor software.
Try playing games on the S7. Driver overhead is so high, it runs games at 20 fps or less, while on the Iphone 50+.

Now i dont think so i will be going back to iphones untill they throw an amazing phone thats worth checking out. Else im looking forward to the note 6 which is rumoured to have an iris scanner too.

i was looking forward to buy iPhone 6s, as 6s plus is too big for my hands but now i'm pretty amazed by some of the samsung's features, like the battery, multitasking, waterproofing and compatibility ... just worried about its consistency... also a bit manipulated through videos showing water proof feature failing on speaker sound and stuff like lagging with time, any suggestions?

Good video man, I've got the 64 gb iPhone 6s Plus kinda getting excited about the 7 I really feel the s line in the products has become something to truly admire. Class phones either way. 850 bucks for a phone you're still lucky and have something special with either. I've got a 55 inch oiled tv and the oiled is just hands down unbeaten. But having a MacBook Pro and iPads having the iPhone just makes sense. My brother has the s7 and I just saw it couple days ago, it's a stunning screen.

***** It's alright, if I'm using cellular data for snapchat or watching videos it drains the battery quick. So, I usually end up needing to charge around 8:00 PM. I had the 6 Plus before and that had a lot better battery, but I'll sacrifice for the smaller footprint.
Yea haha I had a 2 4S and then went through three iPhone 5 and then I switched to the htc one m8. I liked it, but the camera sucked and their apps on android always had a reported problem of apps not working and giving me a pop up for it. Also, it took 6 months before I could get the updated os version of android, however I switched to the 6 Plus before that happened. Then I purchased the 6S the day after it came out!
