I am moving to being an Apple user now because, Samsung has really been disappointing me with their Exynos chipset, the fact that it performs less, has faster battery drain, heats up more and is litterally *more expensive* , really concerns me, Samsung Exynos phones are a big waste, and will always be, therefore I'm buying Apple iPhone 12 pro max
I’m a user of both Android and iOS and I must say that they both have their use cases. Android is great for a tweaker like me who really likes to customize their device and their different hardware ranges can fit lots of people’s needs. I use a Samsung Galaxy J2 Core (2018), Retroid Pocket 2+, and the LG K30 (2019). I also use an iPad Mini 4, which at the time of this comment doesn’t have the latest iOS version anymore, but is still great for when I want to do some quick productivity without turning on my computer, for video playback, and mobile gaming.
I had been using iPhones since their inception. Using an Android phone for the last 3 months. The only 2 things I miss from iOS are the absence of scroll to top by tapping on the status bar and the visual bounce effect on reaching the edge of the screen when scrolling on Android. However, there are many things I've got on the Android phone which were not available on iOS such as better widgets, (for my taste) deeper customization, always-on display, notch-less display, better refresh rate, and many more features.

I know you dont regret switching from Android to iPhone, but I felt a breathe of fresh air blow over me when I switched from iPhone to Android. I used to be an Android user back in early 2010's to 2020 and from 2020 I used an iPhone. I loved it at the time for how reliable it was compared to the Android software they had running at this time. BUT, upon switching to Android again with the Samsung Galaxy S21FE, Maaaan, it was a breath of fresh air for me and I do not regret switching at all. However, today, I have the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 arriving courtesy of one of your reviews on it lol. So thanks for that! :D
My first smartphone was a Motorola Droid (the first one) with the awful slide out keyboard. Android didn't even have functions that we would call basic now. Google Maps was new! Back then, everyone rooted their android phones, and lots of people I knew were running custom roms. Android was always chasing IOS. Over the last 16 years, I've seen Android go from the objectively worse operating system to one that's now quite mature. The gap in capabilities between IOS and Android is now basically non-existent. Hardly anyone feels the need to root their Androids anymore. I kinda miss that Era of wild experimentation. Where you could install custom roms that brought you just a bit closer to iPhone capabilities (and sometimes exceeded them) in addition to, of course, completely changing the way you interacted with the device.
Interesting and valid points. I've used two iPhones (iPhone 4 and iPhone 6) and I've had issues with both. Absolutely DESPISED iTunes and how difficult it was to do simple tasks like moving music. Hate that you can't take your library with you if you switch to Android or save it on my computer. The biggest issue with iPhone was ERGONOMICS and lack of customization.. To each their own.

I'm personally shocked to hear that you dropped an iPhone twice and the screen didn't immediately shatter. That's something Apple, in my opinion, has been known for.
Apples had some of the toughest phones for years now. But I still see people making jokes about iPhones breaking easily. Goes to show they arent as intellectually superior as they think they are.
@@slothonastick32 Same goes for the battery, people have been and still are joking that iPhones die quickly, where in reality iPhones have the longest lasting batteries on the market right now

One of the great things about the industry and competition is we all benefit. iPhones and Android phones are amazing both and it's just nice having a choice and both with pro's and con's. @@CommanderAustria they don’t scan your photos anymore, and they intorduced advanced data protection which can’t be decrypted by Apple. Phone choice really depends on what you're looking to get out of it. Apple usability really shows with the interoperability between their products. This is largely due to the fact it's one company making products and accessories based around a core theme or design. Samsung and other android devices, while having their own unique and sometimes better features, don't have the compatibility with other devices like apple products do because they don't have centralized products developed around a core theme or operability goal. For me I prefer samsung phones because I don't like to use apple computers or other apple related accessories. Everything I do is centered around my PC and the android interface is more comfortable to me in the sense of usability and personal preference when it comes to certain features. Lastly however, I just don't like apple business practices so I also don't want to support their business lol
Yeah, Apple doesn't allow for as much customization. I like using an all black home screen to save power and all my icons are sort of an electric blue. And I can move them to anywhere I want and build pages with them grouped anywhere on the page.
