I had the iPhone 6s yes. I wouldn't say either are better. However, Technical capability-wise, the Galaxy S7 wins buy a long shot. I'm loving my new phone. It did take a few days to figure everything out but do to the fact that it is entirely customizalbe, I can honestly say I'm not going back to overpriced Apple phones.

How is that possible? Samsung products are a bit cheaper, like everything tech, than apple. Yet the quality is pretty much right there with Apple... if not better. Apple will never win in a "bang for your buck" comparison to anything - ever. Apple is like Bose. Not necessarily the better product in their industries, but the extra $50-100 you spend on their products is because you're buying a name.... and paying for their marketing budget.

I find it kind of weird that most people don't mention that the S7 Edge is pushing significantly more pixels when comparing how they do in GPU related benchmarks. 2560x1440 is almost 2x the amount of pixels then 1080P.
You're completely wrong actually. It all depends on the application. Pretty much all games run on 1080P. Actually the benchmarks even say "1080P" on the S7. Get your info right.

I agree the SD card, display, and the fact that the camera is much better should have been mentioned. I myself think the iPhone is smoother, but the s7 edge is better hands down imo. But he is everything apple pro so u have to expect some bias. I just traded my iPhone 6s plus back for my s7 edge which I should have never traded, I missed my s7 edge had to bring it back home.

One reason not to buy S7 Edge for me - IT IS ANDROID Full of crap applications with advertisements. I am an Android developer and I know how to steal data without any information to user. If any app is not compatible with hardware, your phone will get hang or start behaving slow. There are millions of apps in play store that are developed targeting particular android devices and tested on only few android devices out of thousands of devices available there in market. If you talk about customization, you got the same customization features in all range of android phones. You will definitely not get any advantage when in comes to OS. But, yes on hardware side Samsung did an amazing job. S7 Edge looks really beautiful. If your phone does not have any private or confidential data and you love customization, you can go for S7 Edge. There are other hardware aspects where S7 completely beats iPhone 6S but, for me the OS really matters and I believe that iOS is more reliable and robust OS than Android. 2GB more RAM in S7 Edge don't make you feel any difference in performance. The edge is cool but, if you hold that phone in your hand, your palm will touch the side and the phone registers your palm as your finger touching the screen. Also, pressing key 1 is difficult unless you lay the phone flat in your palm or on a table Now Samsung should really think about developing their own OS like iOS.

+Siran424 I have an android phone as well but I have a low cost one. ;-) that works same as like all other android devices in market. I have MotoX and it works great except few lags, hanging problem like in all other android devices and unexpected app chrashes ;-). It has my all insensitive data. I don't need water proof / water resistant phone because I am not going to dive and take videos or pictures under water. Edge screen is very annoying most of the times, especially when you type holding your phone with both hands. Sometimes keyboard gone away if edge screen registers a touch outside the keyboard area, which often happens if you are holding the phone with both hands. You will always find difficulty in typing letters on the edge. Actually what I think is we should not compare Android vs iOS. They have absolutely different goals. It is like comparing Rolls Royce vs Lamborghini they both make awesome cars but their goals are completely different from each other. You can compare different variants of Lamborghini with each other but can't compare it with any model of Rolls Royce and vice a versa :-)

+Siran424 Yeah! I feel free with my MotoX and feel secure with iPhone 6S Plus. But why should I go for S7 Edge? I feel no difference between MotoX and S7 Edge except camera features. Other features of S7 edge is just annoying, especially the edge screen, or you can say its a gimmick. S7 Edge is only a show-piece even my MotoX works great as compare to S7 Edge and gives all same freedom, customization and whatever android things and most importantly... It hangs and lags less than S7 Edge and easy to use as well :-P If you are talking about looks... so any how we are going to protect these phones with some kind of case. If we don't, soon will notice some scratches on body. ;-) There is no tampered glass screen protector available for S7 edge until now. So, you need to be very careful before putting your S7 edge upside down or putting it into your pocket. For me performance really matters, iPhone works really great it never hangs, no lags, never feels slow even after a year or two. You will get good money if you resell it. You will get frequent upgrades. Samsung sucks in upgrades they release upgrades for their phone when it get outdated :-D even Moto is better in providing upgrades. There are lot of known software glitches so far in S7 edge and owners are still waiting for upgrade with fixes. I am not saying iPhone is better than any phone but, not S7 edge either ;-) I would consider MotoX force or Nexus over S7 edge. They also gives all android things and their software is much much better than Samsung. But, yes if you want a good camera, go for S7 edge. :-D
I dont agree the 6s is on 1080p and the 6s plus is on 1080p aswell but 2k is not 2160p it is 1440p. so its not 2x the amount its just a little bit more.
Still pointless to discuss because phonebuffs comparison has proven that the actual resoulution of the screen has nothing to do with the speed of the smartphone.
Samsung tricks you into thinking they're camera is the best, but really it is just saturating the images. The ones on the iPhone just look more natural and more close to reality.
I noticed that on the comparison. Another thing is good light, it seems to "burn" details especially clouds. The thing is that I really enjoy taking photos of landscapes with deep clouds, only the iPhone does that well for the moment.
I have both phones. And I can tell you the camera on my s7 edge is indeed alot better. You cant compare much through a medium like youtube you have to have a hands on experience to really see the difference.

Got the iPhone 6s Plus today, love it. So far, the phone is ALOT smoother then the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. I will now say that Apple's iOS is better then Android.
Well I had a Note 4 before the iPhone 6s Plus. Note 4 had a defect where it couldn't update to Android 5.0 lollipop, ended up breaking from ONE drop before I could take it in to Verizon. (So I was using a Galaxy S3 for 6 months before I got the iPhone.) Its complicated.

Samuel Islam Indeed. Every phone lags sometimes, even the iPhone. I tried 4,5S,6,6S and each of them lagged somewhere. If it didn't lag, than the app crashed. If the app didn't crash then something else happend. I'm not saying every phone is perfect, but he did. And as you know, that's just not possible. Every phone, every laptop, every PC lagged or did something wrong somewhere, tech isn't perfect. That's why I called him stupid, because instead of doing a quick google search he came here to the comment section shitting about something he knows exactly nothing.
Hello iPhone 6S Plus 1080p resolution, Samsung S7 Edge 1440p 2073600pixels vs 3686400pixels, thats a 177% ratio of S7 Edge resolution / 6S Plus resolution (numbers don't lie) Can you say a GTX 960 with 60 fps bench on 1080p is better than GTX 970 with 50 fps bench on 1440p! No you can't
what you ignore is that the a9 gpu is faster for offscreen tests as well. That's when the test is run at 1080p regardless of resolution. And what's more the 6s plus is rendering at 2208x1242 and then downscaling so that's an extra burden on the gpu as well.
S7 edge definitely! S7 uses 1.7 amp whereas iphone uses 2.2. Therefore, u will get brighter images in low light condition. Iphone 6s plus have edge in slow motion department but overall, considering all the factors it is s7 edge
People keep saying the iphone 7 will crush this. But the NOTE 6 will destroy the Iphone 7. I once was a isheep. I have had and paid full price every year for the new iphone. Until I saw the s7 Edge. Why did you leave Apple? I am an apple user had every iPhone but I stop at the iPhone 6 Plus didn't get the 6 plus S. Every iPhone I jailbreak to get features that are on Samsung. But since I have Apple products like laptop, iPad, and iPod I never left. But I am thinking about leaving once the specs for iPhone 7 & The Note 6 come out so I can compare.

I will never get rid of my macbook lol, once I got over losing a so called status symbol lol and really gave andriod a try i really liked it. for me i really like the functionality and style of it. iphones are good phones but i needed something better than good. hopes this helps. it takes a day or so getting used to but once you do you'll enjoy it.

Objective review from someone who's owned a s4, note 3, and currently using iPhone 6: Samsung does have better features, no doubt about it. However, there are some people who just want a pretty phone that can call, text, use social media. Also, the iPhone has better support with apps and in case the phone malfunctions you can just go to your nearest apple retailer and have it checked out. However, none of that matters to me since I'm the type of person who gets easily bored, and after having my iPhone 6 for almost two years now I'm sick of iOS and the same exact stuff it rolls out with each "new" version. I plan on getting the s7 edge if I'm not convinced enough with the upcoming note 6/7. I don't usually like big phones, but I feel like the s7 edge has a big display but it's still more manageable with one hand than something like the 6s plus. Please no troll comments, this is a very objective point of view
I never had an iPhone, but I have always tried it for at least one week (iP 5S,6,6S). None of them convinced me, that's why I'm staying on Android side. Currently using S7Edge (international version) and can only recommend it.

I have enjoyed your all videos regarding the S7 and the 6S Plus very much, and I honestly believe you are one of the very few Apple fans (the very first I've encountered) that are capable of doing these kind of comparisons without the bias towards their favorite brand affecting the outcome. Kudos for that. But I do have to majorly disagree with you on one thing, in this video. You cannot compare a graphical benchmark test running at QHD (2560x1440) resolution with another one running at FHD (1920x1080) resolution. Try running a graphical benchmark test on your desktop pc at 720p (1280×720) resolution, for instance, and then the same exact test at 1080p (=FHD). You'll notice the very different results. This effectively means that the only results on the graphic benchmarks you presented on this video, that are comparable, are the ones ran at the same resolution. Specifically, you can only compare the Offscreen tests. If you do that, you'll notice your conclusions regarding GPU performance are a little bit deviated from the truth. Also the S7 is available in black, gold, silver and white colours. Otherwise, and except a couple of conclusions you present regarding video and photo quality/performance that I would say are subjective (no point in saying either is "better"), a very good comprehensive video analysis. I couldn't agree more with your final comment: "both need to keep innovating, and that's what's most important". Well said! Peace.

Ive Owned both apple and samsung flaghip devices and imho it depends on how you know use them, its what suit your preference tbh, mostly i use the android fone for ton of crap or fun things or school work which i refuse to do sometimes on a laptop and the other iOS device mainly well for calling, texting, emailing, business stuff etc, like a go to phone i you want imple stuff done in simple ways in justa mtter of few clicks? I had the iPhone 6s yes. I wouldn't say either are better. However, Technical capability-wise, the Galaxy S7 wins buy a long shot. I'm loving my new phone. It did take a few days to figure everything out but do to the fact that it is entirely customizalbe, I can honestly say I'm not going back to overpriced Apple phones.

Apple will never win in a "bang for your buck" comparison to anything - ever. Apple is like Bose. Not necessarily the better product in their industries, but the extra $50-100 you spend on their products is because you're buying a name.... and paying for their marketing budget.

One reason not to buy S7 Edge for me - IT IS ANDROID
Full of crap applications with advertisements. I am an Android developer and I know how to steal data without any information to user. If any app is not compatible with hardware, your phone will get hang or start behaving slow. There are millions of apps in play store that are developed targeting particular android devices and tested on only few android devices out of thousands of devices available there in market.
If you talk about customization, you got the same customization features in all range of android phones. You will definitely not get any advantage when in comes to OS. But, yes on hardware side Samsung did an amazing job. S7 Edge looks really beautiful. If your phone does not have any private or confidential data and you love customization, you can go for S7 Edge. There are other hardware aspects where S7 completely beats iPhone 6S but, for me the OS really matters and I believe that iOS is more reliable and robust OS than Android.
2GB more RAM in S7 Edge don't make you feel any difference in performance. The edge is cool but, if you hold that phone in your hand, your palm will touch the side and the phone registers your palm as your finger touching the screen. Also, pressing key 1 is difficult unless you lay the phone flat in your palm or on a table
Now Samsung should really think about developing their own OS like iOS.

+Siran424 I have an android phone as well but I have a low cost one. ;-) that works same as like all other android devices in market. I have MotoX and it works great except few lags, hanging problem like in all other android devices and unexpected app chrashes ;-). It has my all insensitive data. I don't need water proof / water resistant phone because I am not going to dive and take videos or pictures under water. Edge screen is very annoying most of the times, especially when you type holding your phone with both hands. Sometimes keyboard gone away if edge screen registers a touch outside the keyboard area, which often happens if you are holding the phone with both hands. You will always find difficulty in typing letters on the edge.
Actually what I think is we should not compare Android vs iOS. They have absolutely different goals. It is like comparing Rolls Royce vs Lamborghini they both make awesome cars but their goals are completely different from each other. You can compare different variants of Lamborghini with each other but can't compare it with any model of Rolls Royce and vice a versa :-)

+Siran424 Yeah! I feel free with my MotoX and feel secure with iPhone 6S Plus. But why should I go for S7 Edge? I feel no difference between MotoX and S7 Edge except camera features. Other features of S7 edge is just annoying, especially the edge screen, or you can say its a gimmick. S7 Edge is only a show-piece even my MotoX works great as compare to S7 Edge and gives all same freedom, customization and whatever android things and most importantly... It hangs and lags less than S7 Edge and easy to use as well :-P If you are talking about looks... so any how we are going to protect these phones with some kind of case. If we don't, soon will notice some scratches on body. ;-) There is no tampered glass screen protector available for S7 edge until now. So, you need to be very careful before putting your S7 edge upside down or putting it into your pocket.
For me performance really matters, iPhone works really great it never hangs, no lags, never feels slow even after a year or two. You will get good money if you resell it. You will get frequent upgrades. Samsung sucks in upgrades they release upgrades for their phone when it get outdated :-D even Moto is better in providing upgrades. There are lot of known software glitches so far in S7 edge and owners are still waiting for upgrade with fixes.
I am not saying iPhone is better than any phone but, not S7 edge either ;-) I would consider MotoX force or Nexus over S7 edge. They also gives all android things and their software is much much better than Samsung. But, yes if you want a good camera, go for S7 edge. :-D

I noticed that on the comparison. Another thing is good light, it seems to "burn" details especially clouds. The thing is that I really enjoy taking photos of landscapes with deep clouds, only the iPhone does that well for the moment.
I have both phones. And I can tell you the camera on my s7 edge is indeed alot better. You cant compare much through a medium like youtube you have to have a hands on experience to really see the difference.

Got the iPhone 6s Plus today, love it. So far, the phone is ALOT smoother then the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. I will now say that Apple's iOS is better then Android.

what you ignore is that the a9 gpu is faster for offscreen tests as well. That's when the test is run at 1080p regardless of resolution. And what's more the 6s plus is rendering at 2208x1242 and then downscaling so that's an extra burden on the gpu as well.

I will never get rid of my macbook lol, once I got over losing a so called status symbol lol and really gave andriod a try i really liked it. for me i really like the functionality and style of it. iphones are good phones but i needed something better than good. hopes this helps. it takes a day or so getting used to but once you do you'll enjoy it.

Objective review from someone who's owned a s4, note 3, and currently using iPhone 6:
Samsung does have better features, no doubt about it. However, there are some people who just want a pretty phone that can call, text, use social media.
Also, the iPhone has better support with apps and in case the phone malfunctions you can just go to your nearest apple retailer and have it checked out.
However, none of that matters to me since I'm the type of person who gets easily bored, and after having my iPhone 6 for almost two years now I'm sick of iOS and the same exact stuff it rolls out with each "new" version. I plan on getting the s7 edge if I'm not convinced enough with the upcoming note 6/7.
I don't usually like big phones, but I feel like the s7 edge has a big display but it's still more manageable with one hand than something like the 6s plus.

I never had an iPhone, but I have always tried it for at least one week (iP 5S,6,6S). None of them convinced me, that's why I'm staying on Android side.
Currently using S7Edge (international version) and can only recommend it.

I have enjoyed your all videos regarding the S7 and the 6S Plus very much, and I honestly believe you are one of the very few Apple fans (the very first I've encountered) that are capable of doing these kind of comparisons without the bias towards their favorite brand affecting the outcome. Kudos for that. But I do have to majorly disagree with you on one thing, in this video. You cannot compare a graphical benchmark test running at QHD (2560x1440) resolution with another one running at FHD (1920x1080) resolution. Try running a graphical benchmark test on your desktop pc at 720p (1280×720) resolution, for instance, and then the same exact test at 1080p (=FHD). You'll notice the very different results. This effectively means that the only results on the graphic benchmarks you presented on this video, that are comparable, are the ones ran at the same resolution. Specifically, you can only compare the Offscreen tests. If you do that, you'll notice your conclusions regarding GPU performance are a little bit deviated from the truth. Also the S7 is available in black, gold, silver and white colours. Otherwise, and except a couple of conclusions you present regarding video and photo quality/performance that I would say are subjective (no point in saying either is "better"), a very good comprehensive video analysis. I couldn't agree more with your final comment: "both need to keep innovating, and that's what's most important". Well said! Peace.

Ive Owned both apple and samsung flaghip devices and imho it depends on how you know use them, its what suit your preference tbh, mostly i use the android fone for ton of crap or fun things or school work which i refuse to do sometimes on a laptop and the other iOS device mainly well for calling, texting, emailing, business stuff etc, like a go to phone i you want imple stuff done in simple ways in justa mtter of few clicks?

I think a lot of smartphones do but I think it was the Galaxy s5 that was the first phone to have an "Ultra Power Saving Mode" that could go days on a single charge.
