This was always a pet peeve for me when I researched up the lore of archie sonic on fandom wikis and youtube as a teen. Around the time you wrote for Archie Sonic, why did you never retcon the Paternal Family to have originally been Robotnik, but changed it to Kintobor to not draw too much attention to themselves after that incident with Gerald on the ARK? Would’ve made more sense in context.
19:16 - What would happen if Surge isn't having hallucinations of Starline, but of good ol' Goddamnit Nappa instead? Why not put Nappaline as an alternative?

The only other occasion I can think (correct me if I'm wrong) of where he called her Ames was in the Boom TV series. I was just wondering why this has started carrying over into the canon series? Not that I'm complaining! I personally enjoy this change and seeing many other fans discussing and enjoying this pet name.
23:54 - Despite them often being paired together in extraneous material whether it be the Olympics or racing games we haven't seen Amy and Blaze often interact with each other much in the mainline content whether that be the games or the comics. Can we look forward to Blaze and Amy interacting more often in the future? Also just for fun if they gave each other cute nicknames what would they be?
25:35 - Starline’s been iesaki’d into someone’s Eggline fanfic of varying quality, but there’s a catch: It’s a fanfic where Eggman chose to stay as Mr. Tinker, and Starline not only accepts this for some reason, deciding he’d rather stay with him, Tinker also lets him, eventually leading to them being a happy family of 5 of him, tinker, Belle, a Repurposed and reprogrammed Metal Sonic, and Sage. Dont ask how she got there or why she still got made, it’s a fluffy fanfiction world that’s supposed to make you feel good. Does he attempt a “kill and replace’ out of jealousy that goes poorly, an attempt to “fix” tinker regardless, which ends in his death snd subsequent isaki’ing, or does he refuse to dignify this universe with any sort of attempt on his part and find the funnest way to Nope out?
28:22 - If the term "Spaghetti Western", is used for a number of films known for either being filmed in Italy, or have Italian directors, writers, and producers, would it be fair to call projects or series that originated in Japan but have been largely influenced more Western Media, or worked on largely by either Americans or Europeans, "Chili Dog Shonen"?

However, his only prepared argument is that Sonic is not pro-freedom because of his monarch friends. Because of course he only needs one argument to win with his shining brilliance! Let's face facts, Disney does dip into the old horror tropes and I get the feeling you guys (like the rest of us) have PRIMAL memories of looking away from the TV/movie screen when Snow White was on, when the witch appeared... If they want the overly-judgmental-to-foreign-animation organization the MPA (I still to this day think they deliberately sabotaged Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, aka Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, box office chances by making it an R rating out of general ignorance and prejudice against foreign films, possibly against Japan and/or action anime specifically, there was no good reason to make it anything but a well earned PG-13) to give their PG movie a G and their G a PG, than by god *THEY’RE GOING TO GET THE RATING THEY WANT!!*

After looking back at the Shadow The Hedgehog game, Mad Matrix & Digital Highway are levels which are both set in cyberspace (one based around Eggman & one based around GUN).
We already know that Eggman had attempted to mess around with cyberspace esque layouts before, but what about GUN?
Were they aware of the Starfall Islands before anyone else, did they send a group to learn some of its secrets to create their own cyberspace & how advanced were they that any physical being could just suddenly enter into their digital realm with surprising ease?

Question/Scenario: SEGA asks Ian to write an Amy spinoff game based on her line at the end of Sonic Frontiers. The cast is as follows: Amy, Cream, Sticks, Gemerl (who insisted on coming along with Cream), and Big (who they ran into when they were about to leave and invited along). So we basically have a Team Rose reunion plus Sticks and Gemerl. What kind of story would you like to tell? And what character dynamics would you be most excited to explore?

With Soleanna now being mentioned within the IDW universe, it has got me thinking is this Soleanna set within the main lands & still being populated by humans; or is there a new continuity for it & it is inhabited by animals like Sonic & his friends?

wow, i genuinely thought blaze and marine were supposed to be counterparts to sonic and tails! i truly believed they were created with paralleling them in mind, i’m very surprised that’s apparently untrue!
Ian Flynn didn't write the Rush games, he has the authority to make his own take on their stories retroactively canon, but he has no authority on what the original intent of the story was.
@@Jbelnap510 yeah that’s fair, i just thought them being counterparts was like a core part of their characters! like, to the point that a writer for the franchise would’ve been informed about it. unless ian flynn was informed but actively chose to change it, or sega itself wanted blaze and marine to be much more independent and separate characters going forward. it’s interesting how things can change or just be interpreted completely differently!
@@pacifistcowboyThe main writers for the entirety of the 2010s had never even played a Sonic game before they were hired. I suspect that Sega doesn't care about the lore or the characters nearly as much as we do, so I wouldn't be surprised if Flynn needed to interpret most of this stuff on his own.

28:20 this is a response to the question from Noni, Chili dogs are based off of Frankfurters which are German while closer to Viennese Saugages they are something like the happy middle between the two also hot dogs/Chili Dogs despite being American made products don't exactly scream America or Europe for that matter when you think about something having a lot of American influence from something else also Shonen refers to Young Boy's shows so I kinda question about that when it comes to trying to broad term Japanese Media your first tact for a term of something with a lot of American or European Influence with Japanese Kid shows also again Chilidogs are a product of American Influence on German Cuisine doesn't exactly say European Culture especially considering Germany doesn't exactly make you think European Culture at all. but I am kinda running in circles just agree with Ian and Kyle
