Make a whole video on the idea of "it didn't work out" but doesn't want to say why? You know that a lot of people might benefit from why it didn't work out for you, they may be in a similar situation and you might just be able to help them by sharing.

In fairness I imagine it was something within the company that has made him want to leave but he doesn't want to slag the company off on a video

Billy please think about what you want to get out of the industry. When you said about starting tramping, a lot of experienced people said it would be hard as you didn't want to be away from home/missing kids etc
Lots of different roles in the hgv game but think about what you really want (weekends at home/no night driving/no manual work etc.) - just list out what you want and then apply for roles which suit your lifestyle/wants
It's really easy to get hgv work - the hard part is finding one that works for you that doesn't require you shagging yourself stupid chasing the money

Got to do what's best for yourself mate. I've just recently passed my class 2 through a bootcamp like yourself and just landed my first interview tomorrow I'm taking any job at the moment just to get experience and find out what work I want to do

Sorry to hear billy, but you made the right decision for you, which is important. I understand why you don’t want to say the reason, but if you could at least give an indication, it may help newer drivers. Such as, was it the work that you didn’t like, the smell, the hours…or was it external factors?
Chin up, and I’m sure you’ll find something real soon.

Good luck on the next step of the Journey mate, personally I am not a fan of agency as it can dry up, however you will be great on whatever you do bud👍

Look for 4 on 4 off work. Great life balance and lots of companies moving towards that.

Been a c+e driver since 2017 when I was 21. Took me 6 years to get out. I had 36 hgv jobs in that time. Hated every second. God bless

You'll find where you fit in man. I said it to you once before you could spend the next 10 years bitching about your place of work and threatening to leave or you could actually do something about it like you have, good on you fella and looking forward to seeing where you end up next

You should try a trunking day jobby easy work and home every night

Hi mate, try and do day trunking for companys like the pallet network. Most genreal haulage firms are doing/using pallet network as an extra income. Basically your 7.5 and class 2 lads go out daily delivering pallets then go on collections. When they return to the base the forklift lads will load your trailer and you'll do 2 or 3 drops to the hub per day. I know this because I myself have experience In this.
You'll probably start about 6am and finish at 6pm it all depends but your home every evening the work is strap and shut curtains the hubs are easy to unload as they have around 60 forklift drivers.
If not... Try class 2 or class 1 tipper work 9 times out of 10 they are day work and the work itself is literally a piece of piss.

Hi Billy, I have a similar story. Passed C+E 18 months ago and have bounced around a number of different jobs. Did my 2 days induction with AWJ back in Nov and decided at the end of day 2 it was not for me. Same story at Iceland last week quickly decided humping heavy pallets of frozen food off and on a tailift was not for me. If you fancy a chat let me know to share my early lessons let me know, good luck 👍

You want to give an insight to the industry but do not want to say why you left the industry… albeit temporarily? Will still be following your journey but this seems odd. If it was personal reasons ie mental health then fair enough. If it was because of working conditions/workload/company etc then just explain so we can understand. All the best with your next step Billy
