Even the Simakade camp does not dispute, they are value of a mother born of royalty. The complexity is in the custom of ukungenisa/ukufaka umntwana esiswini. It seems, if true, that Prince Simakade underwent this custom which it looks like it made him to be Queen Mantombi’s son. The question is who is senior between King Misuzulu and Prince Simakade? Even in Mthwakazi Mzilikazi’s country the value of a wife from royalty was regarded as high. For example King Mzilikazi had many wives before he went for a Princess koSoshangane uMaNxumalo. This made Nkulumane the first born boy by MaNxumalo to be the heir to the throne.
Yet the reigning King is allegedly birth by a domestic helper.

I am of the view that, since Prince Africa made it categorately clear pertaining to the process been followed, also made it clear that the President has never done any wrong by issuing the certificate to king Miszulu since he (the president) was the last in the list, in other words he was aloof from all the processes and debates that transpired priorily. This whole confusion is caused by Zulus fabricating all sorts of customs and cultural practices just to have a final say on who the Zulu king is. Inkosi iyazalwa is a lie - there's no such. Almost all sons of Senzangakhona became Zulu kings, were they all born to be king? If yes, then why is it only this one son of Zwelithini that is born to be king? In any case, it that nonsense of "inkosi iyazalwa" held any water, then we should agree that ubukhosi bakwaZulu is in the wrong house - uMpande was never meant to be Zulu king.

Kufaka esiswini is done for a number of reasons and it has many permutations. It cannot be a substative reason for the contestation of kingship under this circumstance particularly that there is her Royal highnesses Princess Matfombi. It's clear on both sides that Qyeen Mantzombi was indeed the great wife and that HRH Misuzulu is the successor. However, in the event wherein the incumbent shows signs of unworthiness & unfitness to sit on the throan, the Royal Family has the right to replace him. I think the side of Prince Simakade should have taken this approach in resolving the matter. HRH King Misuzulu has shown the nation that He's not fit for the throan despite being the obvious choice.

This was a very important debate. Maybe the representatives should've been allowed to argue the cases in their home language. Sometimes when you explain culture in a foreign language it doesn't make sense. I am sad that based on the arguments argued by the representatives, the Kings Representative is at the advantage position.
The western Court aren't even supposed to be adjudicating such cases...

Prince Simake side is contradicting itself,they don't know wat they want,n they are not very organized. When the issues started,it was abt the legitimacy of the will,they suspected the signiture bt they lost that battle we they were asked how come they agreed that Queen Mantfombi should be a regent if they question the same will that appointed her.
2)They also raised the issue of King MisuZulu being not the 1st born of King Zwelithini,
3)They went on to say its not Zulu custom that if a king marry another kings daughter she becomes the great wife n give birth to the next king,and even said if thats the law,then if King Cetshwayo married that daughter of the Queen of Britain it wud have made a colored person a king.
4)They raised the issue of the lobola n said the donation of the cows from isizwe was just gesture didn't mean anything regarding the heir. The did not say anything abt ukufakwa esiswini then.
Now coming back to this show,if u listen to what Prince Thulani is saying....all of a sudden the status of the mother specifically Q.Mantfombi matters now,and to strengthen their case they raise the issue of ukufakwa esiswini. He even uses the examples of Cetshwayo n Zwelithini,but
In the example of King Zwelithini the context is slightly different. he was born from the 2nd wife yes,but the 1st wife of King Cyprian didn't have a boy wen King Zwelithini was born,and also apparently it was raised that Zwide was a king of abakwaNdwandwe which meant the the queen was from ebukhosini,which then made king Zwelithinis mother a great wife regardless of the what number she was as a wife. We also know that the were issues between K.Cyrprian n K.Zwelithinis mother,n also that K.Zwelithini was young we she passed away. These could be the reasons why wafakwa esiswini sa 3rd wife.
My conclusion is that,this is not abt the legitimacy of king MisuZulu bt more abt finance nd also abt the fact that,now that Mangosuthu is gone,they going distorts some facts to favour them.

Prince Thokozane was very incoherent. He struggled to explain Prince Simakade's claim to the throne.
He did actually it just that you did not want to hear it. He explained the custom of "ukufakwa esiswini". He made an example with how king cetshwayo ascended to the throne.

For a "custom" acceptance, Do predictions strengthen the custom? Is there proof that the king Zwelithini meant giving Heirship or it was recognition as one of his sons & to be nurtured safely. The bone of contention is clear, that Queen Mantfombi is from Swaziland, n that King Misizulu is not a total Zulu, according to Mbonisis faction.

Wow, I see this in different light now, maybe if someone can explain the custom of “ukufaka esiswini”. What is the purpose of this custom? If the purpose of the custom is to pinpoint as to who should succeed the reigning king then maybe Prince Simakade has a point, but if it is just to allow the affiliated person to become part of the family and to have equal rights to the other family members then, I think both Prince Simakade and King MisuZulu are the rightful heirs, and the determining factor should be the age. Who is older between the two?
The custom of ukufakwa esiswini is necessitated by a situation where the great wife ( one who is supposed to give birth to a king) does not have a “Son” ☝🏼..so they take a son from a either a first wife or any of the Queens to become a ceremonial Son. That is now in recognition of the Wife to be the one who should give birth to a King. But now in this case, Queen Mantfombi gave birth to a Heir, not only Him, but went on to give birth to other three sons. Now in that case an issue of Seniority kicks in.. now a ceremonial son becomes the last born..which means all the biological sona must die, without having had children☝🏼 then the last born(Ceremonially) can become a King. The Zulu Culture could never be superior than a biological son, bcs Ceremony confirms biology not the other way around. To make matters worse, a ceremony of ukungeniswa esiswini was never done to Simakade and there is no evidence of that nature. Ngiyathokoza🙏🏻

Was it before King Misuzulu was born? If yes, does this not make him the first born? Or the custom does not work that way, regardless of when he was affiliated to the family of sons are born biologically by the Queen the affiliated becomes the last born. But for your information, Prince Somakade was first put onthe first wife maDlamini of kwaKhetha then after Queen Mantfombi was brought Home He was then removed from kwaKhetha to kwa Khangela

You are bringing interesting facts, that he -Simakade was first affiliated to umaDlamini, my head tells me to ask, could the King at that time thought that MaDlamini was senior before marrying UmaNtombi? If the king then removed Prince Simakade to be planted in MaNtombi’s womb, doesn’t this tell us that the King always wanted Prince Simakade to have an advantage over everyone else.
Lets say that is the truth, that the King always wanted Simakade to be King…you cannot perfom that ceremony more than once to the very same person, by Him(the Kong) putting Simakade in Madlamini’s womb He was declaring Simakade as the Senior prince(Umtwana oMkhulu) but not the great prince( indlalifa). Now the Throne has its own requirements that far exceeds that of the sitting King..and that is why we say a King is now not born of a woman but the moment He ascends to the throne He does not have a mother but the Throne becomes His father and mother..so the king cannot say or do things that contradicts the Sacred requirements of the Throne just like your ancient Israel..the Arch of the covenant had its requirement and it formed the basis of the kingdom…it does happen then that a King may have His prefference amongst His sons but according to tradition He who ascends to the throne is not bominated in order of prefference and fondness..but the Throne appoints Him from birth…so with that being said, many have interpreted the issue of ukufakwa esiswini komtwana as a significant mark that He should ascend.. but going to tradition to imply that, the King would have been wrong. And remember sithi kwa Zulu inkosi eseyebuzile ayibusi kubusa isihlalo..He did not write Simakade on the Will but wrote Queen Mantfombi…by doing that He was legitimising that She is the great wife in which the King will be born..all these are the requirements of the throne not of the one sitting on the throne…unline a general will where you keep changing once your son behaves a certain way..the sacredness of the rule no one can ever change
