So true! The idea that a family meeting determines succession is unheard of in Nguni, Egytian and English Royalty (these are the ones I'm sure of). Instead there are councils (representing the nation) together with elders from the family of the would be leader.

I do not understand Ntandoyenkosi when she says "a Zulu King could come anywhere from the world". Our understanding is that King Misuzulu is the blood of late King Zwelithini, just because his mother (Queen Mantfombi) comes from Swaziland that does not mean he is a foreigner.
She continues to say that all her brothers are eligible to be selected, we do not know that, whoever fed her that information was wrong. There is only one person eligible for the throne and that person is King Misuzulu.
Lastly she says a Royal family needs to sit down and discuss the matter, it has been almost a year, they have failed to do that, instead they went to courts. They are selfish and greedy and they have no will to serve and lead people, so selfish.

Based on everything I've heard from the family and culturalist until now, this was my conclusion. I guess you concluded differently.
Her arguement does not hold water if she says all princes are eligible without even looking at the age. So even a 16 year old is eligible. Secondly, if she says it up to a family to elect a king it means anybody could be appointed including a possibility of having a white heir, a notion she had refuted earlier.There must be a framework n tradition followed on the validity of a king.

This is not necessary what they are doing. First of all their father was the King and in a polygamous marriage. There is no way that the type of marriage their mother had with the king can be a civil marriage while there are other wife's.
