- The Alpine™ CT is built on Weatherby®’s newest bolt action rifle platform, the Model 307™. We teamed up with PEAK 44 to produce an ultra-light rifle that can own the range and dominate in the field.
The PEAK 44 Bastion stock weighs in at 24 ounces and uses a proprietary 3D-Hex recoil pad to reduce the effects of recoil. The BFS carbon barrel delivers unmatched accuracy and comes with Weatherby’s directional self-timing brake. You’ll also find that the carbon barrels on the Alpine CT are shorter than our traditional offerings.
Through years of innovation and testing, the Model 307 action features a bolt that was designed to have a tool-less disassembly which allows hunters and shooters to easily field strip their bolt if needed. The bolt is equipped with an M16-style extractor for positive extraction and reliable ejection. The Alpine CT comes standard with an externally adjustable TriggerTech field trigger and PEAK 44 picatinny rail.
Weighing in at just 24 ounces, the Peak 44™ Bastion stock is the lightest production, vertical grip carbon fiber stock on the market. It features a comfortable ambidextrous palm swell and a substantial thumb groove to promote proper form while shooting. The forend features dual sling studs to allow the shooter multiple options when deciding on accessories. This upgraded stock allows shooters to comfortably and accurately shoot from all positions at the range and in the field.
BSF Barrels use carbon fiber in a way that no other carbon barrel manufacturer does, leading to unmatched accuracy and heat dispersion properties. After BSF turns down a 416R stainless steel match barrel they sleeve it with carbon fiber and load it under tension. Because it’s under tension, as the barrel heats up it keeps the rifling straighter, resulting in a stiffer, more rigid barrel.
In the Alpine CT lines, the BSF barrel is threaded and comes with the all new directional self-timing brake. The receiver and muzzle brake are coated in a durable Cerakote® and the carbon fiber stock is hand-painted.
Available in standard short and long actions, the Alpine CT not only offers some of Weatherby’s historic magnum cartridges but is also available in some of the most popular cartridges on the market.
The Alpine CT is compatible with most after-market 700® platform parts, making it the most open platform in the Weatherby line-up.

I want more content on this rifle. Haven't found much online. Is it an accurate set up? Real world shooting is a must! I want one but give me more!!!!

Do you intend on doing a recall on the 307
SDs? ? It seems they have extraction issues…
All it needs is an arca rail at the balance point, flush cups, and a recessed pic rail at the tip of the fore-end and it would be near perfect.
Exactly. This is a big fail imo and a shame to release it like that.

Did you fix the issues with the 307? I’ve seen 2 with bent recoil lugs with less than 10 shots through them
left hand?
The 307 action would have been a great concept if the action tolerances were consistent and prefit barrels could be made for them.
I’d like to hear how this comes in $1200 cheaper than my backcountry 2.0 carbon? Destroys the resale value for guys who paid a premium for the carbon barrel and stock.
That woukd be a great topic to talk about. But your 2.0 is premium with 9 lug bolt and other goodies. But I woukd love to hear that conversation too. But I am sure we never will
Looks like a remington 700 style 2 lug bolt vs the ridiculously strong 9 lug or 6 lug bee action. So thats where the cost is. That isnt an easy action to machine.
Where the 700 is super easy to machine and true.
Their barrel making process looks way easier and cheeper to produce than a normal wrapped barrel.
If anything they figured out how to bring a awesome performing rifle as cheep as they can. So its no contest to a back country 2.0. Its contest to tikka and browning and seekens and springfield production carbon hunting rifles. Among others like christensen and bergara.
