I think this is the 7 PRC I’ve been waiting for. Cool gun.
In 1968 I met Roy weatherby and Kurt gowdy at the Cleveland convention center , great men
When Adam asked Cal “what’s your job?” 😂😂😂 that was priceless 👏🏼 this is going to be a good podcast 👌🏼
It's great to see you expand upon the 307! have you considered on doing a 307 Camilla? 25 RPM? 7 Weatherby RPM? modernize those twists? 35RPM? and 270 RPM?
Just finished a custom 257! Went with a fast twist though, excited to see how it does with the big 130+ grain bullets.
I am getting 3200 with the Berger 133 and hammer 127s with my 1-7 twist and H1000
I have been in manufacturing all of my adult life. So I can totally understand someone being excited to see something built and what actually goes into it.
I know I am not a fireman, cop or doctor but I am glad I went to floors of manufacturing because that was my calling.
Love the specs, just wish y'all made it in lefty at the moment.
Not only 1.
I am super excited to receive mine, I definitely can appreciate a handmade work of functional art! , Evan
I wana work for weatherby so bad. Now Thats a family brand ya can be proud to b a part of. I kno im proud to carry a weatherby into the deer stand every sit
6.5 prc please in a 22in barrel to go along with the 7prc
I handled both the folding stock and the more conventional stocked 307's the last time I was in Sheridan. They might have some similarities to a Rem Model 700, but the 307's had way better triggers with much smoother actions. This new version looks like a nice addition to the line.
About to get my first bolt action and I guess that I need to wait for it to get in stock!
Lefty please!!!!!
You guys are making things difficult.
I have quite a few weatherby rifles and they are by far my favorite rifles.
Im very happy to see the 240 with a faster twist.
Now I can't decide what will be my next weatherby.
Id love a mark v with a 6 lug, especially in 7mm rpm if it ever happens, but this one in 240 would be a lot of fun.
I don't have the money now anyway, so I look forward to seeing what comes out in the future. I also have no idea why the 6.5 rpm doesn't come with a 2 contour barrel in the more budget models. I love my 6.5prc vanguard, but I sure wish it was in 6.5rpm because I love the case design.
I'm a younger fellow, and I know you guys were just joking around, but don't make fun of us pipe smokers.
Its an extremely enjoyable hobby, and Roy was doing the right thing smoking a pipe.
Great inspiration comes from a good relaxing pipefull of tobacco, and you guys should maybe try it.
Who knows what kind of rifles you could create, by following Roy's example.
Im a big fan anyway and even though my hunting season is just getting started, my 6.5x300 accumark has taken 4 big game animals.
Its awesome to live so close to such a great company.
I wonder why they never mention the MeatEater version of the Mark V rifle. It isn't even on their website under the legacy models.
WHY DID YOU GUYS MAKE THE 307 HAVE A 1/2x28 muzzle thread??? Just make it 5/8X24 like everyone else
The barrel is thin enough that there is not enough diameter at the muzzle for 5/8x24. We will be doing heavier barrels with 5/8x24 in the future.
Has anyone of the below commentors purchased this 307 in 7mm PRC? I just got mine this past Tuesday, and I shot it for the first time today. I immediately began having feeding problems with the MAGPUL magazine. I went and purchased another magazine from Cabela's, and I had the same problem. I don't think the rifle is the problem; I think the problem is with the magazine. After my 2nd cartridge loaded into the chamber, the remaining 3 cartridges tilted down and became wedged at the shoulder of the cartridge. Very strange. I was able to recreate it over and over again. I was also able to recreate it outside the rifle. After taking apart the magazine, it is very apparent that MAGPUL should have made a full-length magazine spring. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, have you come across any solutions?
Can we get some more information on the actual construction of the stock for the Range and the Meateater versions?
I'd love to see a Meat Eater or 307 with 1:8 Twist, chambered in .270 Winchester. A 24" to 26" barrel with either a - [Heavy Bull Sporter; Light Target; Light Palma; Medium Palma or Remington Sendero] contour. For me, that would be ideal.
Anyone know what scope is on the rifle in this podcast?
Vortex
I am looking at the meat eater model in 280 ackley improved. But dont know anything about the 307.
1/2 28 means this barrel is a little thin and could heat up quickly
Great looking gun, but I will say that the adjustable comb/cheek riser looks a bit like an after thought. The lines of it just kind of make it look cheap compared to the rest of the gun. Aesthetically, it would have looked better with the monte carlo style stock.
Where is the 307 action made? Where is the rifle made for that matter? Thx
Is the meat eater edition the only one that comes with a picatinny rail to mount the scope rings? I bought a 300 win mag 307 non meat eater edition and it did not have one. I had to leave the store without a complete build and had to order one. Now i have to wait and miss a week of hunting with the new rifle. Looks great and cant wait to get it in the field.
Can you guys please create a dealer rewards program. I sell vanguards, mk5s left and right. I really love your rifles and vouch for them but no rewards or incentives. Hard to wanna push sales when other brands offer rewards
Coming very soon... Stop spying on us
Adam’s nepotism is showing…. Lol not everyone can have a company handed to them
Im a diehard weatherby rifle advocate. I cant say enough about the new options in the mark v. The vanguard weatherguard bronze is the best rifle value on the market. The 307 is bridging the gap between hunter/competition and target shooters. Taking full advantages of the plethera of rem700 layout parts n stocks. Combined with weatherbys insane tight tolerances and build q. fluting .cerakote. colors action size it's just awsome . Yall are hitting every tier and leading every tier. ❤
