Weatherby Mark V Backcountry 2.0 Carbon .257 Weatherby Magnum Break-In

A weekend at the lease with two new rifles, both being Weatherby’s. Mark V Backcountry 2.0 Carbon in 257 WBY Mag and a Vanguard Compact in .223 REM. Both are super accurate rifles destined for great things. A wonderful weekend in the great outdoors with family.

Got the carbon backcountry 30-378 and it’s under half inch groups. Friend has the identical 30-378 and it’s the same 1/2 inch groups. One likes the hammer bullets the other likes the eldx.

Great video! I love my Weatherby 307 Meateater. It's chambered in 257 Weatherby. It shoots 3/4" at 300 yards with the 100 grain Swift Scirocco, 110 grain Hornady ELD-X, 92 grain Hammer Custom, and 100 grain Hornady Interlock. I think my gun shoots its tightest groups with the Scirocco and the Hammer. Weatherby is awesome!

That rifle is incredible looking. But what's with the 3" high and holding over, when you have a scope with an exposed turret? That's a very nice scope for just holding over.
