Is it feet V on bar toes on bar? I always get perplexed looks when I teach this. I think I'm not getting them to go heavy and fast.

Its the balls of the feet. Toes go in all directions so its heels together and you want the balls of the feet slighty open. It's no more than a fist distance. And its key to make sure that the pinky toe side ball of the foot gets on the bar as well. How many springs are you using? What colors @rene? Also, often times people are not close enough to the edge to get anything out of it. Its definitely a weird exercise so even if you make it heavy and get them flowing you might still get some weird looks xx

@@OnlinePilatesClasses Thanks so much Lesley. This is amazing. I normally teach 2R or 2 heavy springs. I want people to properly engage through the abs and not go too heavy if I can see they aren't. I always worry people will hurt their lower back if not engaged. I tell people to go right on the edge of the carriage, knees near the face (lol) but sometimes people just aren't getting in close enough. I love your videos thank you!

@@Rene_Veno totally love that! I would suggest 2 red and 1 green and maybe even 1 blue. For the round (ideally whatever they did for footwork which should be slightly heavier) then the same or 3 springs (2 red 1 green) for reach back, 2 springs for reach up and twist. When I worked with those springs I did 1 red and 1 green. They won't hurt their back likely due to the weight. Most likely they will lose their pants or slide off their pad. 2 is a variation I use for doing 1 leg. It's a bit light. An advanced practicioner would feel the connections. And a beginner could use that setting to learn the motion. But its not enough feedback for their center most likely. xx
