Thank you for your review. I bought one of these because it was the last one in stock, but I will return it after watching this. I'm most interested in the angle reading for some head bolts I need to install. I can't afford a Snapon, but I'll research Gearwrench or another brand more.

You can also mark the top of the head bolts for measurement. Most accurate and free method.

That's a good idea. I'll make sure to do that. Thank you! I wish I could justify buying myself a Snap-On.

@@mijohnstI’m the same way. Just too expensive for a hobby but man those tools are such a pleasure to use

@@mijohnstFWIW I bought this tool for the angle 📐 feature as well.
It was off by about 10-15 degrees.
I used the fail safe method of marking my head bolts with marker.
I will say some were dead accurate and some were off.
The only thing this helped with was letting me know I was close and that was good enough for me.

Thank you for the helpful vid. I’m a tech aswell and looking into getting a 3/8” and 1/2” digital torque wrench for Subaru cylinder head-bolts, internals, camshaft carriers etc., are there any mid-tier level brands that you would recommend for critical engine bolts or mainly Snapon Tech-Angle?
I was thinking of getting the 1/2” Kobalt digital which is essentially a clone of the Quinn but if it’s not accurate/reliable enough for professional work doing engine builds than I will look into other brands. I was also considering the 1/2” ICON digital as I already have there 3/8” and 1/2” split-beam which I have been impressed with there durability thus far. Thank you for your time.

Icon may be good. I know gear wrench makes a good reliable digital angle torque wrench. Same internals as the Mac/matco torque wrenches.

Professional....yeah. I know plenty of "professionals" who need their tools taken away. A certificate from uti or a trade school does NOT MAKE YOU A PROFESSIONAL... Professional told me a car in our shop had no timing issue. Never took cover off crankshaft...what do you know. Chain chain tensioner gone. Cams still in time though...
