    Great content as usual. The slapper is the one tool that changed the outcome on my metal finishing the most.

    This polishing of the hammers and dolly's is something I started a year ago. They have neglected so long.
    It only reinforces the maintenance polishing these tools we ask to make it flat like chrome and metal to look better than new is something most never do!
    Thanks kindly for these tips and the use of PPG VB2050 epoxy high build!
    Travis, this working the metal closer to perfection reduces the materials and cost, before spraying the epoxy VB2050. This is a great combo. Thanks so much for sharing.

    I recently returned to golf after 20+ years of not playing. Back then I didn't have a sand wedge. I used a 9 iron to get out of the sand traps. I gotta say that owning a proper wedge now makes it a lot easier. We can get by without all the specialized tools and hammers but they sure are nice to have.
    I've corrected, reshaped, and polished hammers and dollies many times but never thought to go to the extreme of using dykem. Thanks for that tip.

      @@SYLVESTERSCUSTOMS I believe replying to comments promptly, within a few hours ideally, shows YT that you are busy helping build the Ytube community and replies bring viewers back to your channel. Then YT offer your videos to more and more people which builds momentum. More viewers of good content leads to more Subscribers. I think you're getting decent view numbers tho, much better than my channel. My 2cents worth :)

    Hay everybody Travis is a very cool dude and an excellent teacher, I just want to add , that yes harbor freight belt sanders work on hammers and Dollies, ( to face or create a precise even area)but if you get something there , dish out the extra for the warranty, I didn’t on my belt sander and the round disc on the side failed . Also bought a jumper box from them . With a 2 year warranty, it failed and guess what I ( without realizing) took it back on the last day of the warranty and they told me if I would of waited a day more I couldn’t of exchanged it. I have the new one in the box.
    Anyone reading this be advised that Travis is thee go to guy for guidance and well explained information that leaves nothing out.
    This is a paid endorsement by Sylvester Customs, JUST KIDDING. Seriously Travis and his co defendant Mike AKA BLOWN GRIT, make over the top videos about the over the top work they do. This is the place to learn

    The hammer i always wonder about why its even included in a set is the highly textured "waffle head" ,like ... i have a couple carpentry framing hammers which i understand perfectly why that exists but not in an automotive metal bumping scenario. Can you explain that because its often referred to as a " shrinking hammer" which all i see it doing is chewing up the surface .

    • @SYLVESTERSCUSTOMS
      @SYLVESTERSCUSTOMS  6 місяців тому

      It’s basically contradictary to it being called a shrinking hammer. It gathers the metal into the area you hit with is stretching but because of its shape it pulls into that area. Hard to explain but they are trash
