Thanks for another GREAT video! You have transformed me from a timid Toyota owner into a Tacoma warrior! So far, on my 2009 Tacoma, I have been able to remove and upgrade my stock radio to bluetooth, replace all the speakers, add a steel rear bumper as well as a class-III hitch (and wiring), replaced the headlights with way cool looking new ones, replace the front grill with a TRD Pro grill (with Raptor like clearance lights), fog lights, light bar (hidden behind the bumper), LED interior lights, and a few more nice additions. Accessing the rocker switches has really made all the difference in the world, as I can make the changes look factory clean. With all matching LED switch lights, it's just one more plus to a really nice looking Tacoma.... Thanks, keep up the good work, mope's like me are depending on you to provide us with the courage to tackle these upgrades!

Great Mod!! I'm going to go with Blue. As for the fox light switch on my 2014, I don't recall as I swapped out the switch a few years ago for a blue LED switch.
Got my LEDs ordered! I chose the blue for mine. Will probably install them when I take the dash off again to paint the silver dash rings. Looking forward to that video!
Just did this on my 09, they have never lit up before. Can confirm the bulbs work and are dimmable aswell. Also I was able to pull all the switches without removing the panels, took about 3 minutes to do.

I'm currently in the process of stripping the paint off my roof. Started chipping very bad. Waiting on my center carrier bearing and universal joint so I can pull my drive shaft and get my taco back on the road.
Great video man, super helpful. I have a 2014 DCLB I got used and the fog light switch has definitely never illuminated. Drives my ocd nuts haha. I've tried to find similar LED replacements for the AC controls cause I know the bulb style is somewhat similar to these but haven't had any luck yet. Hopefully in a future video?
Thanks Scott! I actually checked a few other places on the Tacoma hoping they were the same size bulbs. The "auto" switch on the driver door and AC panels are all soldered LEDs.

Tacomaholic I went with the blue but bought a few cool whites also. I only have a few in use bc of the switchpro but I wanna ditch the green. Also bought new dome lights bc those Meso’s are never in stock for our gen
My foglight switch illuminated for maybe one day after i got it than never did again. I think Blue or green would look cool for the backlights. Also my steering wheel controls are dimming so may need to do something bout that.
By the way could you give us a look in the next video at the whole dash illumination at night, as I told you before I would always go for red or amber illumination but I don't know how it will look with some parts of the dash illuminated with a different colour. Thanks and Stay safe.

That was an excellent video tutorial, thanks I didn't notice a face plate on my 3rd gen switches but it should have them also, I have to go and check again. You said your next project is to remove the centre console to install front and rear cameras so it may not apply in your case but Just a piece of a genral advice to anyone who reads this comment; If you intend to remove the blind blancks from a console to put switches in their places and removing the whole console is a pain(in my case the centre console of my 3rd gen) then maybe you can do what I did instead, I just hot glued the blancks to a smal piece of L shaped aluminium flat bar and pulled it slowly stright out but with a little up and down wiggling and then I used a (straightend) clothes hanger to pull and rout the wires through from the back to the front and made the connections, all done without removing the centre console. (BE VERY CAREFUL with the glue gun the tip is very hot and could easily burn the skin or the interior of the vehicle) Try it and if you like it maybe you could upload a video of it, I could do it but I think you have way more viewers that can benefit from it than my channel 4 and a half subscribers 🤣 Besides I am from UAE Dubai and there is not many Tacomas around here unfortunately, mine is an import from Canada since the tacomas and tundras are only sold officially in the US and Canada.

I have a 2011 Tacoma, and the fog light switch has *never* had a light, which kind of drives me nuts. I'm curious if this is a factory thing or if there is one there that has never worked. I'll be monitoring the comments. 😁
@@Tacomaholic I went with amber there is a difference from the stock bulbs in the panel. Mine were orange bulbs, not sure why yours were green. Are there any more videos coming? Did you sell it?
I went to install theses lights and now none of my lights are illuminating.. the switch still works it’s just not lighting up anymore. I only changed one and it caused all of them not to light up. Any idea what it could be?

Yes, the fog light is illuminated. Although very dim. Even with the dimmer at max.

I've never noticed a glare on my screen ... but I've got my front windshield visor tinted too.

What year is your Tacoma? On the factory wheel on my 2014 the steering wheel lights are LEDs that are soldered onto the circuit boards.

My fog light does not illuminate, and it drives me nuts. Swapping LEDs soon to fix that :) good video!! Tacos are for eating, Tacomas are for driving.

For anyone watching in the 3rd gen tacomas the leds are surface mounted. So you'll need a soldering iron to swap.

On my 2014 Tacoma the gauge backlighting and the center console area backlighting are all soldered LEDs.

I honestly can't remember mine ever lighting up either even though there was a bulb in there. Maybe a bad batch of bulbs got made or something.

My AC controls light up but they are in a different area. I don't think my mirror controls do though.

If the led isn't lighting up then you need to pull it, rotate 180 degrees then reinsert.

All of my 2009 lights are red from the factory.

And the steering wheel controls are red/amber...too close for to tell. I'll lean towards red. The two phone controls especially.
