Polish Street Food Tour in Wroclaw! If you are travelling to Poland watch this food and travel vlog, you'll want to know about the best polish street food to try in Poland! I start my taste test eating Zapiekanka, a Polish Pizza which is popular among students. Then I tried a traditional potato pancake (Placki ziemniaczane), so crispy and yummy! The Polish food review continues with the famous Pierogi, Kielbasa and obwarzanek krakowski, the Krakow bagel! I did all of this in a single day so it really felt like a yummy challenge :D
This is a travel for food channel and I enjoy eating street food around the world! Eating street food from different countries is what keeps me alive :D

"Zapiekanki" is best! It's just like Pizza but on a Baghuette. "Plazki" are pen-fried Cakes made from potatoes. I like them with sugar or jam (sweet), but most people prefer salt or buttermilk or cream in any kind of variety. It's fried potatoes with some onions. Do what you like. Simple and tasty :)
Plazki is honestly one of the best street food I've ever tried! Simple, yet addictive, I could 50 of them in a session 😂

Placki ziemniaczane, pierogi.. these aren't a street food! Just national dishes. The only street food here is zapiekanka and obwarzanek. Kefir is not a sour cream. I love that you promote Polish food, just get the details correctly. We don't eat pierogi every day and we don't munch on sausage on the street lol
Hi Magda, thanks for watching! Yeah sometimes I use the word "street food" to identify "small bites / cheap eats" someone can expect to find in a certain country, but obviously traditional street food as you would find it in Asia for example sometimes just doesn't exist in Europe, I'm just adapting the concept I guess 😅😂 😂

In my part of poland we eat potato pancakes with sugar or sugar and cream. Also there is a edition with hunters sauce

Yeah I think if I wanted to vlog about sweet Polish pastries I would have needed an entire separate video for them! Maybe a good idea for next time in Poland!
I grew up some of the food. They were kielbasa, pierogi and potato pancakes.
My father made homemade kielbasa.
My father had pierogi with only farmers cheese. Wasn't a fan of that filling.
The potato pancakes would have on them fruit preservative.

@@DanFandelli Oscypek Smoked Sheep Cheese, Grilled With Cranberry Sauce. Traditional cheese in some regions of South Poland. It's really delicious. You can find it for example on Christmas market in Krakow or in Krupówki iż Zakopane. But it must be grilled (hot) and with cranberries. You can buy it ready for around 5 zlotys.
And those sweet pierogi was been with blueberry, not cranberry. Glad to see that Polish food can impress, nice shots...

Kefir is not a sour cream, it's a drink!!! Don't do that again! :) You've got sour cream (not whipped cream) on the side of the pancakes, gushhhh :)))

P.S. Al dente pierogi! You're so funny!!! Pierogi dough is not the same as pasta or ravioli, we don't cook it to be al dente :)
Blueberry not cranberry, we don't have cranberry pierogi. (On the second thought, why we don't have them? It could be wonderful!)
Kiełbasa is not a street food, have you seen anyone eating just kiełbasa on the street?
Obwarzanek is local for Kraków, we don't eat it anywhere else. And thers no almond's inside the dough :)

@@DanFandelli An obwarzanek krakowski is a braided ring-shaped bread that is boiled and sprinkled with salt and sesame or poppy seeds before being baked. It has a white, sweetish, moist and chewy crumb underneath a crunchy golden-brown crust. Traditionally sold from street carts, it is a popular snack in the Polish city of Kraków, where it has the status of a regional food with protected geographical indication. It is closely related to, but distinct from, bagels, bubliks and pretzels. The earliest known references to obwarzanki being baked in Kraków, Poland's former royal capital, appear in the accounts of the court of King Vladislaus II Jagiełło ( 14th century). The bagels also come from Krakow. Krakow's Jews began baking them in the 17th century. It was occasional bread. The bagels were given to women after a successful childbirth. Bagels with emigrants reached the USA in the 19th century.
Masz 80% racji ale kiełbasa może być ulicznym jedzeniem :-) Oczywiście na ciepło, od lat w takim Krakowie ustawiają się kolejki po kiełbasę z Niebieskiej Nyski w środku nocy :-)))) No i jada się wszędzie z rusztu, smażoną itp. Ale faktycznie nikt nie je kiełbasy na zimno od rzeźnika. Choć za komuny czasem się to widziało na ulicy :-) Uwiecznił ten styl Bareja w Misiu, gdy Ochocki jadł tak kiełbasę w Londynie :-))))

Not much street food in Poland. I did not like zapiekanka. Too much bread. I missed green salads.
Yeah Zapiekanka can be a little bit too bread heavy but the one I had was nice as the bread was airy and not very dense!

ahah I'm glad you asked, actually the lady serving me the zapiekanka asked me if I wanted some ketchup on top and I said no, and she replied "bravo", which made me feel like I did the right thing, but I guess it must be a very popular thing to do in Poland
