My Greatparents were immigrants from Poland and we still have family in Worclaw area. I’m hoping by to see them next year! Thank you for this wonderful video showing us your hometown and the hometown of my cousins! Can’t wait to see it for myself! When do the Christmas markets start?
Not sure if the date is the same each year but it started on 24th November this year and will last till 7th January. Christmas markets in Poland are beautiful visually but they may be overrated in terms of food which is usually tourist-oriented. Sometimes it's better to visit restaurants located nearby, at the market square, to taste local foods than overpay for it while visiting Christmas stalls. Not saying that all food stalls are of poor quality, just mentioning it so that you can be aware.

I visited Wroclaw in September/October 2022 and really liked it. My visit was my first solo travel experience. I thought the architecture was stunning and the city has such a remarkable history. I visited Krakow on a separate visit six months later and must admit, I prefer the charm and character of Wroclaw despite the significance of Krakow. I understand that the two cities are similar, the smaller nature of Wroclaw suits my idea of a more relaxed city break.
I lived in Wroclaw for almost 3 years as an expat with my family and it was a great experience. We still call the city as 'our second home' even though that we are living in another country right now. It was just easy for us to adapt and enjoy what this small city has to offer. This was mainly due to the city's long history, attractions and it's people. We still have ongoing friendships there and plan to visit the city as soon as possible. Thank you so much for this great video alongside with stunning views of beautiful city of Wroclaw. It surely brought back good memories :)
I worked on a movie in Wroclaw for 8 weeks several years ago. A beautiful place but even more than that, the people were warm, friendly and endlessly helpful - even when we closed streets and generally made a nuisance of ourselves.

I have been a long time subscriber to Eva zu Beck's UA-cam channel, and I must say it is a nice change of pace having her back on this channel doing segments where she explores various cultures again. Her UA-cam channel used to do this often, but as of late, it has deviated from that theme to focus more on her personal journey and all the trials and joys she experiences living out of her vehicle. While I find that content interesting, it tends to be repetitive and, to be quite frank, a bit self-indulgent. It's nice to see her focus her talents on highlighting the splendor of humanity - with its vast array of histories and customs. I hope her channel also resumes its original content of bringing awareness of other regions around the world, and the unique people who occupy those regions.
My fear is that as Eva seems like she is more interested in settling down and buying a home these days, we will be less likely to see videos of her traveling the world.
@@ronbeaubien Setting down roots doesn't mean that Eva is giving up on what she does. One can own a home and still travel the world. Some of the best travel personalities own homes.
