Never heard anyone call Yorkshire puddings a cake but honestly not sure how to describe it other than delicious

As an Englishman living overseas I will offer the following commentary: 1. Sausage Roll - I've never been to that establishment, but it did look good! 2. Cheese Toastie - Wow! Never seen it done like that before but it looked amazing! 3. Scotch Egg - not really "street food" and I'm not so sure about the nuts on the outside. Try a Ginsters Scotch Egg purchased from the chiller cabinet of a petrol station forecourt instead! 4. Bangers & Mash - never seen this offered as a street food before, but typically English. The 'ginger' you referred to was actually pickled red onion. 5. Fish and Chips - Ubiquitous. Some are good, others not. 6. Breakfast Roll - Ridiculous. The perfect breakfast roll is a soft white bread roll filled with lots of middle cut bacon, a soft runny fried egg and your choice of tomato or brown sauce (HP being my favourite). 7. Yorkshire Pudding Burrito - All the ingredients, Wrong name, and in Camden? Nonsense! 8. Cornish Pasty. Yeah, can't argue with any of that! 9. Steak & Ale Pie - See 5 "Fish and Chips" 10. Jacket Potato - I would love a jacket potato filled with just cheese and baked beans, but you just cannot get them in Australia. I don't think the potatoes grow big enough here!

You need to go back to school if you really think it is called a scotch egg because it came from Yorkshire It's from Scotland not Yorkshire Do your research

Excellent review. British food gets a bad press and historically rightfully so but we've come a long way in the last 30 years. Personally, i found the Yorkshire Burrito a bit average compared to the hype.

"£9.50 please" bruh that's two sausages, some mash, some gravy and a sprinkle of pickled ginger. Do you know how many of those you could make for £9.50. UK Pricing is a damned joke.

I wish I had enough teeth to to enjoy it too..I do a retired version, that grilled cheese sandwich is my favorite from my days as a waiter in Durban, South Africa..in the days tho you can find an authentic version of it in NYC and Boston just gotta go walk around.

There must be quite the obesity problem in England.

Fantastic review Dan. Few small errors of pronunciation but 10/10 for effort and choice of foods plus your explanations are excellent. You MUST however have salt and malt vinegar on fish and chips before you even start with lemon wedges and tartare sauce... It's the rules...

Hey Dan, I'm new to this channel and love everything you ate and as an Englishman living in Australia I must say you've to to eat the KFC in South London as it's to die for. Over here the recipe is different and I wouldn't waste my money on it. Same goes for Nandos, give it a go if you haven't already.

As a Mexican, I love British food myself, every time I have been to England and try different dishes, people always tell me "you are so easy to please" because of my reactions when eating, but this is a message to all british people, listen: I am not very easy to please, your food is BLOODY AMAZING and tasty!!!!🥰 All of those stereotypes about British food being so bad are just said by close minded people.
