    Cinnamon Bears are a sub species of the Black Bear. There is also an extremely rare sub species of Black bears, The Kermode Bear, which have white fur. Cinnamon Bears and Grizzlies have the same colouring but Grizzlies have big hump above the shoulders.

      Wow, that really fascinating. Especially that there's black bears with white fur!! Thanks for all the facts.

    "Black" bears can be different colours, from black through brown to cinnamon. A "Brown" bear is a variety of grizzly. Looking forward to your next video!

      I don't want to spoil it too much, but some grizzly bears may make an appearance in the next video! Stay tuned. ☺️

    Actually the fire fighters suit is not exactly correct. That’s an ARFF (aircraft rescue fire fighting) proximity suit. Based on that engine in the video the protective gear would have been leather and rubber and wool. Not sure if they had an airport there 😂

    • @JustinandJess
      @JustinandJess  2 місяці тому +1

      See, Jess! THAT'S why I was so confused at 01:30! Subconsciously, I must have known it was an ARFF suit and was just thrown off 🤣🤣🤣

    I watched a video one time about several people that were killed by a Grizzley at Laird hot springs right on the board walk . terrifying . Good Luck.

    • @JustinandJess
      @JustinandJess  2 місяці тому

      I thought it was a black bear that killed one person. Either way, that's scary. Fortunately, that was over 25 years. A good reminder to always bring bear spray with you in the Canadian wilderness.

    I also appreciate you sharing your research. The Milepost is very comprehensive but maybe not as all-encompassing as it used to be. Things change so fast now-a-days. Geeze, I sound old eh?

    Hello and going to do an Alaska trip. Do we need a passport to drive the Alaska highway. What is the best month to leave Ohio . We plan on moving slow.

    • @JustinandJess
      @JustinandJess  3 місяці тому +2

      Hey thanks for watching! Yes you will need a passport to cross into Canada and then again into Alaska. We like to travel slow too. If we were starting in Ohio, we would probably leave early May (any earlier, and the temperatures in the northern states would probably be subfreezing). You could take about 4 to 6 weeks to make it to British Columbia and the temperature should be pretty lovely in mid-June. We took about 10 days to drive the Alaska highway North, but honestly, I would have preferred to have even more time to relax and stay at campgrounds along the way. There's so much to see and we never feel like we had enough time.
