I'm sooooo glad to see you assist your dogs up into your truck! People don't realize how much strain it puts on their "knees" to jump from a sitting position into a high truck, and doing it over and over is just asking for them to blow out a knee. Thank you for thinking of their needs and comfort. ❤❤
That what I am talking about!!! Live life to the fullest. You did something you will always remember and I wish I was their with you. Thanks for taking your community along on your trip.
Craig just love your “extremest” nature. My son is an extremest, just did a triathlon at 63, climbs frozen cliffs, bungee jumps, from bridges etc. His life scripture is Isaiah 41:10. Traveling mercies 🙏🏻❤️
Wow! Absolutely beautiful scenery! The little island you kayak to was really neat but the hike the 4 of you took was the best. Hope everyone is feeling better! It's been a lot of fun following you folks along with Joseph and Kalyn from Open Roading.....can't wait till next week to see if you can top this trip! 😉
Poor Craig! I get it, I too need that good nights sleep to function. But Victoria, you look amazing in this video! That dark green shirt brought out how crazy green your eyes are! It was startling! That ice field hike was super sketchy guys! I’m enjoying these videos so much! I look forward to Fridays and Sundays to see what you 4 are up to every week now. You and Open Roading are the only UA-camrs I follow consistently.
I’m from Tallahassee and I love it when you reference it in your videos. The museum you referred to was called “The Jr. Museum”, now known as the “Tallahassee Museum”. Beautiful scenery. I enjoy following your adventures. ❤
I really have enjoyed getting to know you guys through your adventures on your channel, loving your content! I’m 58 years old, and hope to one day enjoy some of my own adventures.
I love otters too! They have them at the zoo near us and we love to watch them. So enjoyed your video this week! The adventures you guys are having! So glad Craig and Joe went together and they played it safe, better safe than sorry!
Really sketchy RV 😮 The hike was hard but with beautiful scenery!! Craig and Joseph are hilarious with there jokes while Hiking to the hole. Stay safe 🙌☺️🤩
We felt really overcrowded at the Cabelas, but not sketchy. Stayed two nights because we were dropping off one guest at the airport and picking up another. The side road at Seward with the big rock opened up once you got past the rock. We did it with our 34' Solitude fifth wheel and F450. It was tight, but doable. We were there just a few weeks after you were. We did our four month trip from Texas with almost no reservations. Made them on the fly a couple of days in advance. Used Harvest Host and Boondockers Welcome, boondocking sites, and Canadian provencial parks. Some RV parks It was much colder at Exit Glacier when we were there! My knees were killing me on the way back down.
Hi we had a problem camping there as well, first night we pulled in along the outside fence of the campground in the street of Sewart, no body minded . On a day the soldiers had an annual run up the bighill. Then across a little bay looking back across to Seward o n July 4th a big day in the USA. Watched the fireworks. There's not a lot of room anywhere. So if you get parked Stay there and do by truck. I bet since we were there it grown a lot. Get parked and have fun.
In 2019 when we did Alaska, sadly, it was known not to stay in anchorage due to sketchy people and thefts in overnight spots and some rv parks. We stayed in a the state park North on there and did day trips into Anchorage.
This was honestly so much fun to watch! Ya'll have been nailing your excursions. While I'm sad that this trip is coming to an end wayyyyy too soon later this month, I'm glad our videos are behind real life so we'll extend our "time together" by a few extra weeks as the videos catch up. -J
The public use cabins are very nice !! Usually there is wood ready for you they are totally dry so they have out house and no running water . There are so many of them a lot of them most are free . So there is a small fee like 25.00 35.00 dollars a night . There are a lot of them by lakes .
We have stayed on the side if the road overnight in Alaska in the 90’s. We lived there for 5 years. My husband is from Alaska. Beautiful views. Stay safe out there.
You bring us to all these places so we can plan a trip . I think what you are doing is really awesome . I really think your videos are awesome .thank you for sharing your trip with . Denis from Santa Rosa Ca .
We stayed in that Cabela's for a week in 2016 while we were waiting for our trailer suspension to get repaired. Yes, we broke our suspension in Destruction Bay, LOL! We never had a problem at Cabela's, and thanked the manager when we left. BTW, the very best trailer repair place in all of Alaska is Trailercraft, which is right up the street from where you were. They also have a shop in Fairbanks. Don't go anywhere else if you have a problem with your rig.
It used to be a lot nicer. Unfortunately Anchorage is going downhill pretty fast. Always had a homeless and drug problem but it’s been crisis levels since Covid.
Bet Craig was right. I love seeing the pups, but with two I'm sure recording is difficult. We don't see all of their activities but I think their pups get plenty of walks, play & love! Safe travels!
I live in Alaska and there are tons of Boondocking sites. Pretty much all of the state owned. Gravel pits for building. The road are open. You just have to be willing to brush the side of your camper with a few tree branches.
Oh to be young! It’s a wonder Cabela’s allowed that in the parking lot. Great video that most won’t get to see, I’m glad the lady’s aren’t daredevil’s you boys better be careful! Eagerly awaiting the next video.
Those real tall poles on either side of the road are markers to allow the snow plows to clean the roadway when the snow is too deep to see where to plow.
Homer Alaska was our only sketchy campsite and it was the Municipal Campground on the spit, two kids ( young men) stole gas cans and fishing equipment from a boat while the owner watched and called the police then they came over to our campsites (there were 3 of us side by side) looking for something to steal just as the police arrived. The fisherman walked over to greet the cops while the kids were trying to make up a story as to why they were there. It was quite entertaining, handcuffed and into the back of the cop car and tow truck to take there vehicle. FYI We didn't have many Mosquitos on our trip for whatever reason ....we had bought a screen tent just for the trip but never used it.
I’m sorry to hear about the thieving teenagers, but it’s a pretty common “sport” for local teens to steal coolers or their contents, gas cans, and anything else outside RV’s and trailered boats. There must be a better way to get the word out to visitors, especially since the lack of darkness lulls people into feeling less vulnerable.
When Craig & Joe left you gals it was the most amazing and terrifying time!!! As it was so picturesque while they walked away, but when Craig took his step I panicked, thinking they should have been roped off before they fall in a crevasse. I guess that's why there's the saying "boys will be boys" right. I was so glad when they got back. Don't let him get sleep deprived again! Lol
Love watching your adventures in Alaska. Has any ever told you that Craig sounds just like Forest Cump, he should say life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get.
As an Alaskan resident. Our rig is 78’ a 45’ 5th wheel and a semi truck. We almost exclusively boon dock. Just takes a bit of exploration and some time a bit of risk taking. But it’s possible.
Our nite at Cabela’s was also noisy. Motorcycles were racing nearby all night. Turned our sound machine up all the way and it did not help much. Drunk homeless guy was also wondering around, we we’re relieved when he passed out on curb and went nite nite.
Yes, we saw that campground when we went to the dump station, it was a nice spot! We were trying to look for free camping/boondocking this week, and I guess we did find some, just a little different than the usual free camping we find lol
@@wildrvlife Hey another tip for finding bears listen to the news from Anchorage they will often report on campgrounds only open to hard sided vehicles and this will tip you off where the bears are. For us it was the Russian River CG the bears and fisherman were both after the silver run.
There is a short cut for return to hitch height without going thru the menu, when you turn it on push left and right at the same time. It will retract the rear and return the front to hitch height.
You were brave staying in Mountain View area of Anchorage. Yes, JBER is there and it’s “shopping area,” but it’s also in one of the worst parts of Anchorage. I’m glad things went well for you.
I’m pretty sure they were at the South Anchorage Cabela’s and Costco. The Cabela’s in Mtn. View is now named for the company they merged with, and I thought I saw signage on Seward Highway way south of downtown. But I don’t know how old the video is.
You are right behind me - Im heading for Tok tomorrow and then out to Dawson City, so probably won't bump into you. You guys are always making PB&J - Someone once recommended putting peanut butter on both slices of bread so the jelly doesn't soak into the bread - it works pretty well!

The best way to know an area is to live there. I loved my time in AK, wouldn't go back because of the High cost of living.
