Of course he is doing his due diligence and defending another person who is suffering for something he has already experienced and won, but like, you can't deny he is absolutely enjoying himself in this one.
At this point its just a game for Markiplier to see how many times he gets away with things just for being Mark. Literally nothing ever happens to him until he says "Why not me?" And its hilarious and sad at the same time Also Charlie framing that tweet is the funniest thing I've ever seen
UA-cam banning this, meanwhile there are movie trailers showing violence in 4K HDR with the highest detail possible, blood, guns and fires, but because it’s a movie trailer it’s fine.
The only reason why I think UA-cam keeps taking down videos and handing people strikes is because the companies who own those characters REALLY didn't like the video and cried to UA-cam to punish the people who had it in there videos.
It’s weird though because the original video of the actual “road rage” thing is still up, completely unaffected. I feel like if they really wanted to go after the video, the very first thing they’d do is take the og one down
@dmachineØ7 they're bots. It's something that's been a real problem on youtube for quite a while now, but they've done nothing to address it. Probably because more "engagement" means more ad revenue for Google. Or, they just want to make discussion on certain channels as difficult as possible. Maybe both.
It´s mindblowing how almost any time there is some huge "thing" going on on UA-cam, Markiplier get somehowe involved without him even doing anything. I love Mark and his talent pool seems to be just endless.
I love that Charlie’s practically the UA-cam anti-spokesman at this point. Whenever something goes on and it’s YT’s fault, he makes a video that lets everyone know, and from there other creators rally and it becomes a whole mess.
everything big needs something like charlie someone to say "hey woah, hold up what the fuck y'all doing?" keep them on their toes and in line if only youtube would actually listen
I would also like to point out, UA-cam realizes just how massive the power base Markiplier has, if he were to be wrongfully abused by the system or banned, it’d basically be UA-cam hanging themselves. its like Mark said “they can’t ban me”
I mean, they _could,_ and UA-cam would definitely survive. Gaming is a big part of youtube, but nowhere near the majority. Banning Markiplier would certainly hurt them, and at this point they're not willing to take that hit, but if push comes to shove, make no mistake, Susan will win.
Its crazy that UA-cam would get give people strikes over a SpongeBob and Mickey Mouse mascot having a road rage incident but pay no attention to the videos on UA-cam that legit has violence and gore
Or it's some low level employee that's supposed to skip through the video until they find the vaguest hint of something that agrees with the all powerful ai. "Hmm it said violence? Welp, looks like there's some fighting, strike enforced"
while this is possible, I doubt an automatic system would issue a strike for "gore". I'm more inclined to believe that new workers (moderators) have joined the YT team who were not familiar with all of this history and lore, hence they're doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over as the same company but different people within it.
I have an idea: Its because theres Spongebob and Mickey Mouse in the video thats causing it to be viewd horribly by UA-cam. Imagine if you saw 2 of the most popular mascots fighting on your website, then having to deal with Disney and Viacom on the same platform. They probably strike this video into the ground to avoid any legal troubles
poor markiplier, wonder if he'll get involved again given everything he and charlie went through last time, maybe he'll do a "try not to get a false strike challenge" edit: why so many likes
For the reason why a 30 minute video gets rejected in 3 minutes, it's because they're pulling a TENET temporal pincer movement. An employee watches the video, inverts themselves and rejects it before making the employee watch it.
This is definitely Disney and/or Nickelodeon stepping on UA-cam's necks over this video. It's a goofy video but you've got two of the most recognisable family friendly characters who've undoubtedly made both companies billions - they don't want to muddy their image with this video, so they go and strike anyone who posts this video and scare other people from even thinking about re-uploading this cursed video.
given how many spongebob horror games are out there and arent being forced offline, my guess is it's 100% Disney. they are so shady and get so millitant about their copyrights, they keep managing to get the law changed whenever their copyright on mickey is about to expire to get the period extended
@@AliciaGuitar That's why I think they twisted UA-cam's arm into striking the videos rather than Disney claiming them etc. They don't want their brand associated with something like that but knew they couldn't do it by the book, so they did it the shady way. As Charlie says it's just this video, and Disney have been caught being naughty many times.
I was thinking the same! They're probably plannin on using the mascots soon and don't want that video to sully their good name or whatever I can just imagine the poor person at youtube with someone sent from disney breathing down their neck to strike the video
I haven't seen it for a bit, but I remember thinking the lighting in the video was weird. Maybe it triggered an automatic system. Maybe not, but that was the biggest part I remember.
i like how charlie holds up the framed comment by youtube to the camera and reads it with his face behind it. Makes me imagine he has the whole thing memorized and engrained into his head.
I believe it's the brand's owners going to UA-cam and not wanting their mascots doing "violent" acts, especially with how popular the video got. They always hate people taking their IP's and doing shit with it that they don't like or don't approve of. That is the only reason why I can think of that this video keeps having these issues.
That's my theory. I can see Viacom and Disney not wanting their flagship characters engaging in non-kid-friendly violence. If one of them had been Bugs Bunny, I bet Warner Bros. wouldn't care...
@@djatlasmusik Sure, but laws are changed constantly, especially when Disney is concerned. How many times have they pushed back Mickey Mouse going into the public domain now? Its insane.
Probably two things happening: Disney and Nikelodian being stupid, assuming the video is a brand risk, and throwing copious money at UA-cam to make it dissapear. And some new employee stumbling upon the newest reference to the video, doing a half assed investigation into what the appropriate course of action is and only seeing the “we strike them” action, not the rest of it.
I would imagine the algorithm can detect the visual movement of someone being straight up stomped out. Even though it was acting, the movements were one tier away from straight curb stomping. Prob why.
Just a reminder that while UA-cam was getting their panties in a twist over a staged video, there was still channels literally based on animal abuse and torture. Thankfully I believe those channels are now down, but we can really see where their priorities lie.
Yep. AND videos literally targeting children of Elsa and Spiderman having sex or Elsa eating poop out of a toilet. Again, they really cracked down on those videos in recent years but not with the same gusto for the SpongeBob Mickey Mouse road rage video
@@williamgarcilazo33 yeah! It was bad. People refer to that particular controversy as 'Elsa-gate'. There's tons of video essays on YT about it if you want to go down that rabbit hole
I think UA-cam's manual reviewers are actually just three guys in a shack with dial-up internet who are collectively paid two dollars and a pile of rocks to scroll through the entire backlog of videos flagged by the system and they end up just agreeing with what the system says in order to make the mountain of work easier on them.

my theory is because some weird colors set off the bots i post art on discord alot and even though its 100% sfw but i use limited palettes so i get the message "you cant post nsfw content here" maybe the colors of that particular video is just whacked out enough its causing the bots to see shit that isnt there
UA-cam has absolutely no respect for its creators. We see it time and time again. After the anger boils down, it just leaves me feeling sad, because there's nothing I can do about it. It doesn't seem like there's anything anyone else can do about it. They just don't give a shit. :(
That's what having a monopoly does (and don't come saying dailymotion, vimeo or any of that shit are actual competitors). Unless a company the size of google sinks a massive amount of money into another platform it's probably gonna stay this way.(Twitch could've been a rival with the backing of amazon but they just keep shooting themselves in the foot)
@@TheUglyFish Genuinely. And yea, for a time I had hope that Twitch could compete, but then I actually started using the platform and learning more about it, and then everything recently happened. If Twitch says they can't pay all their partners 70/30 because it's "too expensive," they're not gonna start supporting permanent vods/video uploads (in a way that could replace youtube). They treated both Coco and that fake road rage video like it's some cursed/ultra-violent thing.

UA-cam banning this, meanwhile there are movie trailers showing violence in 4K HDR with the highest detail possible, blood, guns and fires, but because it’s a movie trailer it’s fine.
I really did not expect this saga to get a part 2
The only reason why I think UA-cam keeps taking down videos and handing people strikes is because the companies who own those characters REALLY didn't like the video and cried to UA-cam to punish the people who had it in there videos.
That's the only reasonable explanation I've seen. It just doesn't make sense otherwise. Not that it's a good reason.

yep 100% that's what it is
It’s weird though because the original video of the actual “road rage” thing is still up, completely unaffected.

Maybe both.
Ikr, I swear with every UA-cam Controversy he somehow gets dragged in 😭

It´s mindblowing how almost any time there is some huge "thing" going on on UA-cam, Markiplier get somehowe involved without him even doing anything. I love Mark and his talent pool seems to be just endless.
I love that Charlie’s practically the UA-cam anti-spokesman at this point. Whenever something goes on and it’s YT’s fault, he makes a video that lets everyone know, and from there other creators rally and it becomes a whole mess.

I would also like to point out, UA-cam realizes just how massive the power base Markiplier has, if he were to be wrongfully abused by the system or banned, it’d basically be UA-cam hanging themselves.
its like Mark said “they can’t ban me”
I’d happily join that crusade
I mean, they _could,_ and UA-cam would definitely survive. Gaming is a big part of youtube, but nowhere near the majority. Banning Markiplier would certainly hurt them, and at this point they're not willing to take that hit, but if push comes to shove, make no mistake, Susan will win.

The moist esports decals are awesome good job
I have an idea: Its because theres Spongebob and Mickey Mouse in the video thats causing it to be viewd horribly by UA-cam. Imagine if you saw 2 of the most popular mascots fighting on your website, then having to deal with Disney and Viacom on the same platform. They probably strike this video into the ground to avoid any legal troubles

The thing is, tho, satire is acceptable use. They cannot legally copyright claim it no matter how hard they try
@@AliciaGuitar who said anything about legality quid pro quo bb
@@AliciaGuitar That's why I think they twisted UA-cam's arm into striking the videos rather than Disney claiming them etc. They don't want their brand associated with something like that but knew they couldn't do it by the book, so they did it the shady way. I believe it's the brand's owners going to UA-cam and not wanting their mascots doing "violent" acts, especially with how popular the video got. They always hate people taking their IP's and doing shit with it that they don't like or don't approve of. That is the only reason why I can think of that this video keeps having these issues.
except there is an actual legal limit to how much a brand is allowed to control
That's some good insight. Didn't even consider that.
Its insane.
Nobody tell Disney about slash fic
Probably two things happening: Disney and Nikelodian being stupid, assuming the video is a brand risk, and throwing copious money at UA-cam to make it dissapear.
And some new employee stumbling upon the newest reference to the video, doing a half assed investigation into what the appropriate course of action is and only seeing the “we strike them” action, not the rest of it.
I would imagine the algorithm can detect the visual movement of someone being straight up stomped out. Even though it was acting, the movements were one tier away from straight curb stomping. Prob why.

This is like the PewDiePie's "Coco" music video situation. UA-cam removes it because of "Child Endangerment" when there's nothing in there that shows it.
