The dial of this watch is very nice and the minimal / dressy indices and hands leave it a lot of room to shine. It is going on my wish list and could be my first Citizen. If I had not just bought too many watches I would get one right away, thanks for reviewing it! Btw. I recently got the same Knot Chronograph and like it a lot, the only thing that was not so good was the bracelet which did not easily fit the case.
This Citizen is a great hidden gem. It single handedly made me fall in love with the brand. About the Knot, it’s a shame about the bracelet. To be honest I also have a gripe with the lug width, too small, the strap almost looking like a women’s watch strap. Although that’s kind of usual size for JDM straps I believe.
White dial is always difficult for me to get as it makes me feel like I’m missing out on colors! So unless it’s something special (like white rice paper dial with gold leaf for example) I usually would pick something else.
Why does Citizen keep the nicest watches for themselves (jdm). I've been wanting to buy a Citizen chronomaster (the citizen) for a while now, but the fact that I have to return it to Japan if something is wrong with it, puts me off.
yeah I get that. all top tier japanese movements have to be serviced in Japan anyway. thing is, weirdly this being simply an automatic with (I think) even a nicer dial for a fourth of the price, is actually an amazing bargain! anyway yeah I suppose they imagine that japanese in the west is associated with lower tier so they keep the best for the internal market where they feel more confident selling them. only GS and only recently were able to break that stigma? I think these Citizens and also the top tier Casios (like Oceanus, of which I have one) deserve their recognition in the west, although also the fact that they aren't shy to use quartz in those top watches is something that would be a hard sell over here..
@@TheWatchScore I think you're right about quartz movements being a hard to sell in the west. In fact, the only quartz watch in my collection is a casio G-Shock. But I love the Casio-OCEANUS-OCW-S100-1AJF, a Chronomaster from Citizen or the 9F movement from Grand Seiko. I'm quite sure one of these days I'll pull the trigger.
You don't need to buy Chronomaster te get higher tier Citizen,Attesa line is very good,Exceed is amazing line of high quality Citizens while my favorite is definitely series 8- they are sold in the west. P.S My chronomaster works just fine after 12 years of ownership.
Let’s face it,does 10 seconds a year make any difference to most of us,even taking it to 5 minutes or so a year, would we really care?,maybe making an exception for the likes of the Military🤔,🍻.
I suppose the military like the divers are already using more accurate ways to keep track of time than watches.. although obviously I see the appeal of something like a solar radio controlled Casio that pretty much is always spot on even if the owner is dead on the ground 😅
@@TheWatchScore Nice thing about a watch is, you wear it on your wrist, it’s not easily lost, time at a glance, different time zones, everyone has one, send messages and make calls. I Agree more accurate and different ways for the military to keep track of, and check time. I also very much see the appeal of a solar radio controlled Casio, as many would. The difficulty then, whether standing, or flat on the ground, is keeping it firmly on your wrist🤣.
This one is great ! Do you sell your unwanted watches/old watches to make room in your collection and if so, where? Good video :) -Subscriber number 1. Glad to see the channel growing :)
Hey Major! 🫡 I thought about that possibility, it might be necessary at some point but so far not yet. Definitely not selling that Citizen anyway!!! It’s too good, hardly something else can beat it out of the box 😝
@@TheWatchScore Definitely keep the citizen. it's very cool :) I figured with the additions of so many watches for the channel, maybe you'll need to start offloading some if not more giveaways haha. Looking forward to a full review of the citizen at some point. I might get the white version
Mine came in and it’s amazing
Always a sucker for a simple classic look love automatic
I have the NB1050 and The Citizen AQ4091-56A both have Grand Seiko level polish and both are thinner and wear better on the wrist.
Doesn’t the 1050 and 1060 share the same case?

Beautiful watch, love the colour change in the face,🍻.
I so much love it as well! Great horological way to spend 500£
@@TheWatchScore indeed it is, that’s my maximum £’s I’d spend for my collection.
The Dial is lovely...!!!
it really is! probably my favourite dial at the moment
There's something about the classic style watches that never lose appeal
agree with you that AR is disappointing for this piece of art!
Amazing, thanks, but is a pity it does not have Lumen :-(
citizen is a watch brand i like a lot
Lovely dial
Lovely watch.
what's your wrist dimension?
What was that platinum leaf watch!!
Great content, how noisy is the rotor?
Not noisy, this is a good Miyota, not a basic one (which would be noisy for sure)
Would've been better without the micro-indices. Looking forward to white dial dress watches.

It's a beautiful watch. I have disagree about butterfly clasps on leather bands - I don't like them at all.
They're uncomfortable but my priority is to save the straps! 😬

Questo orologio è spettacolare, qualcuno sa per caso dove si può ordinare facilmente per farlo arrivare in Italia in tempi decenti?
Where did you buy this for $500?

Not sure I agree with the placement of your camera.
Ma cosa è un inglese italianizzato?
Onestamente non riesco a capire cosa intendi con questo commento?
