Fruits are coming into season at an "alarming" rate? That adjective does not compute.
HOLY SHIT, LOCK THE DOORS AND WINDOWS, THE FRUITS ARE IN SEASON!!!
alarming rate means very fast

+Jenz Wooz Technically true but it has a negative connotation to it. The keyword is alarming: the rate might be fast but not alarmingly so, alarming implies some sort of distress/ anxiousness / fear. Diseases spread at an alarming rate. The economy collapses at an alarming rate. Fruit coming into season does not so at an alarming rate (unless you have some kind of fruit phobia).

Awesome! I love fruit and these are some great tips. Now I want mango! I will definitely try out the cup-techniques, too!
Mango - cut sides off as you did. Cut a grid pattern in the fruit, making sure not to go through the skin. Invert skins by pushing up, and VOILA! Mango cubes that you can just pick off! No juice running everywhere either!
That's how I've always done it! works perfect every time 👌
Is there any other way? It's so easy!!

using chopstick to de-pit cherries!! I don't know if this is a pre-existing hack but that's what works for me

One market near me sells packs of kiwis, boxes with about 6 or 8 kiwis in them for a great price. The box also contains a plastic spoon!
