Yes. And all with a gpu in a PC that will all together cost you less than 1200. Now look the ps5 pro 920 with disc like 1440p with settings on Medium or off if you want 60 fps. Lol😅
Nice, I think AMD has come a long way in improving its graphic gimmicks, shame you have to have decent frame rate before activating Fluid to avoid the input lag
Im definitely excited to see proper fsr 3 added to this game. I think having to have a decent frame rate to avoid input lag it just a consequence of any frame generation tool right now. Maybe there is a solution once it develops more
@@mirage8753 people all think frame gen is magical enough to bring any games to 60+. Meanwhile the input lag is always there, and it is more noticable the lower your base fps is.
@@mirage8753 it works great in singleplayer games if you are able to hit like 45 honestly, 60 is great for maximum responsiveness but even 40-45 is quite responsive and the visual smoothness increase is worth the small input delay
There are two things I can get from this, firstly, Fluid Motion Frames is great, AMD has really improved in software support for their GPUs. Secondly, Ray Tracing is not worth it, such a minimal impact in graphics fidelity for a tremendous hit in performance, smoothness is way more important than the minimal gains in lighting, reflection, and shadows fidelity. It really makes a huge difference in very old games that get Ray tracing as a gimmick like Quake 2 or Minecraft because the technology at the time didn't allow for them to have good lighting, but in newer games it doesn't.
This game in particular looks incredible fully maxed with rt which make a huge impact on improving the visuals. I wouldn't play it any other way now that I've experienced it fully maxed settings with path tracing. Also performance feels great and extremely smooth on my 4090
Ray Tracing makes a difference, Path Tracing on the other hand ... it literally transforms the game. It's like a completely remade lightning system that emulates reality, I've never seen such beautiful and realistic lightning! It is absolutely worth it if you are able to run it with decent fps (don't forget it's just a tech demo for now)
Hey, look, I'm a 6950 XT and 6600 owner, and as much as I do agree that ray tracing shouldn't be pushed as hard and as fast as it currently is, the argument that it doesn't make a significant difference in graphical fidelity wasn't true day-one, and still isn't true to this day. Path tracing in CP77 with my 6950 XT looks absolutely atrocious, but on a 4070 Ti that I got to play with earlier this year, there is a night and day difference in terms of how good it looks, how REAL it looks, how it performs, and - now with Ray Reconstruction - how accurate it is. It does make a big difference.
if you're talkin about the Frame Gen that is added in by the AMD Driver and not the in game frame generation, the main reason it's not rlly working is it turns itself off automatically during scenes with a decent amount of movement. Which is why when u were sitting still ur fps was 40+, but when you started driving it went back down to 20.
I've tried amd afmf only in shadow of the tomb raider and cod warzone. The results are amazing. In Tomb Raider I go from 180 fps to 360 fps, no stutters, didn't notice the change in graphics quality. Same thing on cod, from 160 fps to 340 (270 in most intensive zone). Will test more games in the future but as of rn it's the best technology they released. Pairing a rx 6900 xt with ryzen 9 5900x
Jesus... I Wanted to get a 7900XTX but when spending like £900, I absolutely want to be able to use Ray Tracing and enjoy the likes of Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk in all their glory.... dropping nearly thousand and not being able to use RT seems utterly insane. Honestly it looks like my 3070 handled Path Tracing better than the 7900xtx lol....that said, the raster performance of the XTX is pretty incredible. Goes toe to toe with the 4080 which costs way more!
In the end, ray tracing is not a technology that can be fully supported by GPUs as of yet. It's still only used in partial lighting, such as reflections, and not fully. Even with NVIDIA's rtx 4090 you need all the possible upscaling and frame generation technologies you can have to make it work at an acceptable level on a game like cyberpunk.
Where did you get this information from? I play in 4k 60fps, everything at max , path tracing, dlss performance, frame generator patch. on an old 3080ti. Why the 4090 will have problems I don't understand... I guess when you buy a radeon it comes with a book explaining why raytracing is bad and why it doesn't work "well"
I'd honestly love to see a comparison between the 4070, 4080, 7900 XTX, and 7800 XT at 1440p, since I'm deciding between those GPUs (4080/7900 XTX when I can afford it, 4070/7800 XT for now since as of right now I'm targeting between $1500 and $2000 for a PC)
For 1440p you will do well with the 4070 or the 7800 XT. I personally would go for the 4070 unless the 7800XT price is low enough as to give up the following advantages: - DLSS looks better than FSR - There are many more games with DLSS "Frame Gen" option than there are with the just released FSR 3 Frame Gen - You can also get away with a 500W-600W PSU if you don't go crazy with the CPU given that the 4070 consumes less than 200W The main disadvantage is the 12 GB VRAM vs 16 GB VRAM which is irrelevant at this resolution and by that I mean if you plan to use DLSS at least on Quality all the time, it renders at 960p (below 1080p) and VRAM consumption is way below 12 GB. Another disadvantage is that the 4070 is slightly slower on average than the 7800 XT, some games favor one and some the other but overall the 7800 XT is ~7% faster at 1440p native.
i just build one and i would go with 4070ti and ryzen 7 7800 x3D as my recommendation. Id love to usw amd but if u plan on playing things like cyberpunk the ai frames come in clutch, i hope amd gets to that asap.
Wait until the new RTX 4070 Super, 4070 Ti Super and 4080 Super release. Maybe the new cards will push down the prices or these refreshes will replace the old cards and you will get more performance for the same price. The biggest jump will be with the RTX 4070 Ti to 4070 Ti Super, 192 bit to 256 bit memory controller, 12GB to 16GB GDDR6X and 800+ Cuda cores.
AMD's overlay can cause stuttering. I think the sweet spot for AFMF is 80 - 90 real frames then adding the fake ones takes it "upto" 150 - 170 and the gameplay is quite smooth also is your GPU the reference design? That GPU clock speed is so low :P I have the Nitro+ that runs at almost 2.9Ghz after UV + OC
yeah, its a reference model. Id rather see stock settings first so its a good base level for people to see what they will likely get with no overclocks
Why are people watching this and then complaining about how shit their computers are? I hope you get a better PC, but if you’re just gonna complain about how bad your current PC is then it’s unlikely that you will get a new PC from the looks of it.
@@KianFloppa nope, i never overclocked it. It just became unusable. Black screens constantly, time outs, green artifacts. I tried everything to fix it but nothing worked and it became really annoying so they advised me to send it back
I know exactly what they do with fluid motion frames. They just calculate more frames in the buffer before exposing them on the screen. This creates the input lag, because instead of directly showing the frame, it walks through an additional buffer. This means the car would be already for example like 1 meter more far than the graphics card has processed on frames. Which means the position calculation for the car is already done, but the frame lacks still visually an older position behind. Very clever trick to hide that the graphics card is not that good, because this is a software rendering trick.
@@NoSkillsBro I am mainly a software developer and without creating clever tricks to enhance performance via buffering technics you cannot achieve performance in games at all. Today the best framework of rendering frames wins. AMD has a Driver Framework which injects itself in the rendering engine of the game and the same counts for Nvidia. I am just saying here that the injection technic of AMD is to have a big buffer and put the frames later onto the screen than the game logic, which creates the input lag.
well that's why these type of stuff is recommended native framerate at 60fps+ although even with 60fps + interpolation (frame gen) will feel like youre playing at 30fps because it has to compute the vectors of the previous frame then adds the current finished rendered within 2-4ms (depending on the scene) iirc.
There is a slider in there somewhere where you can make it bigger. Cant remember the exact location. I will try and look next time i have an amd card in.
I have a question about Ray Tracing or Ray Tracing X? because using RTX instead of Rt is just ridiculous, Nvidia didn't invent anything, they just use what has been around for over 60 years (AMD has also integrated RT software into Radeons pro W9000 I remind). We must stop issuing false information linked to idiotic brands or people who say anything (writing RTX instead of Rt is as stupid as saying 2K for QHD 1440p because 2k is in reality FHD but at 16/10th format).
Nobody is issuing false information. Nvidea's GPUs were originally called GTX (Giga Texel shader eXtreme). Once their GPUs could handle hardware raytracing, the branding changed to RTX (Raytracing Texel eXtreme). I have not seen anyone call raytracing "raytracing x", except you today.
@@Nightflash28 We agree, it's heresy. Finally a serious person in this world of lobotomized fanboys. People who say this kind of thing are ridiculous and actually show that they just don't know anything about it. It's like who says 2K and not QHD and when I ask them (half of 3840 is 2560?) strangely they insult me because FHD is not 2k but FHD and yes, they say FHD because on PC we are in 16/9 and not in 16/10 like in the cinema, that's why we are in 1920 and not 2048 for FHD lol and it's the same thing for 4K (UHD exactly).
I would love to se the same in 1440p ULTRAWIDE, also does RT kill the AMD GPU at that ultrawide res. (What 7900XTX do you have?) Im running the Asrock 7900XTX OC
ray tracing kills amd gpu's overall really. Its playable if you lower res, decrease ray tracing settings or use a lower fsr preset. Any one combination of those things you could make it playable at 1440p
@@BenchmarkBoy Queue AMD fanboys saying ray tracing doesn't matter and you can't tell a difference, which you so. fucking. can. Especially path tracing holy crap path tracing and frame generation in phantom liberty make me hug my RTX 4080.
@@bobdolespen Yeah, people still recommend to me buying the 7900 XTX, even though Cyberpunk exists, with path tracing... Just because most games don't fully implement ray tracing or don't care about it because they're not photorealistic enthusiasts doesn't mean there aren't exceptions like Cyberpunk, which also supports DLSS 3.5 which is a big step and which you can't access on an AMD card. NVIDIA is the king right now for Cyberpunk.
in the AMD Driver you can do it and you can do alot with it, even make it Transparent and much more, it is as good as MSI Afterburner in my mind (the overlay). OverClocking and undervolting working fine with the AMD driver too.
what specifically? Just need to turn it on in Adrenalin software. allxtend, amd overlay is no where near as good as msi afterburner. You are limited to so few stats with the amd overlay. I can import all the stats from hwinfo into msi afterburner which gives you so many more options of stats to see. The customization is so much better with msi afterburner as well
Unfortunately when I turn on Fluid Motion Frames my games feel actually worse when moving the camera no matter the fps (high or low). It's actually smoother without it.
The screen is spending more time displaying the fake frame than it is the real fames your gpu is rendering. This is present in all games, there is no variation. The only difference is the more real frames your producing the less impact this tends to have. You are also forced to turn off vsync so if the fake frames push you beyond your monitors refresh rate your going to experience tearing on top of the blurring and input lag. If FSR3 is available use that over fluid frames because motion vector data is available and will produce a higher quality, less blurry result.
@@BenchmarkBoyit was a setting on adrenaline. It’s working now. With the latest drivers I can do ultra res at ultra everything fsr set to quality and RT on psycho and framegen and I get 90fps. I have a RTX 4080 and only get around 30 FPS in busy areas with PathTracing and DLSS Quality and outside around 45 FPS. I dislike Frame Generation, because of all the graphical glitches but then I get around 40 FPS inside busy areas and guess around 50 FPS outside. It's more consistent with Frame Generation, but the graphical glitches makes it unplayable for me. In 1440p it's a smooth 60 FPS with PathTracing and DLSS Quality, without it's still unplayable.
@@mihairomulus2488 In 1440p it's completly usable with RTX 4080. Just DLSS Quality and Ray Reconstruction with Path Tracing and 60 - 80 FPS are there. For 4K, well... Let's say, if everything is turned on, you can reach around 45 - 70 FPS, which is playable but not perfect.

If you take and put fsr from quality to balanced with every setting on high, it still looks insanely good and plays much better. I get 90 fps on average with 8-14 ms frame time.
I preferred playing with FSR OFF on 1440p with a 5700xt and still got 42fps at ultra, which was playable and to me looked so much better than having near 60fps with FSR quality that I'd literally rather just leave it off. @@divinehatred6021 Because at fsr performance you're rendering at lower than 1080p and upscaling back to 4k. fsr doesn't upscale well with image quality when you're using ray tracing or path tracing
I have zero clue as to what this is good for. You "fiktive" almost dobble your fps, (but not really) but you also dubblo your latency , what is the point?
I don't think it adds that much input lag. It's a bit of input lag, if you start at 60 fps without FG, with FG it player like 50 fps input lag. It might be annoying on mouse and keyboard for first person shooter games, but it's gonna work great with controllers because the input lag is a lot less noticeable. Plus it works better in third person games without much camera movement. So if you used it with a controller on something like God Of War it would be great. It also helps if you are cpu bound, cough Starfield cough, and it helps eliminate stutters caused by cpu bottlenecking.
the input lag is fine for a single player game. Just make sure you have 30-40 fps at least before you switch it on and it will be fine. AMD recommends 60 fps before you switch it on
@@BenchmarkBoy indeed it totally pointless since you want extra fluidity (frames) when the action js fast. Frame gen is just bad, less bad with Nvidia but still bad. People are schizophrenic, they are willing to sacrifice 30 to 50% of their frames to very minor graphic improvement like Ray Tracing. But they are willing also to sacrifice lots of image quality and input lag to get more frames (DLSS3, FSR3). I'll get a game without RT and without frame gen ANYDAY other RT+Frame gen, i'll have similar frame rate, less imput lag, better image quality overall (DLSS3 adds lots of blurr when action is fast).

Is this gameplay better than a ps5 ?like the visuals and the fps? I have a ps5 and want to build a pc with either a 4080s or the 7900 xtx with the 7800x3d.
Yeah this is better. Ps5 doesn't have path tracing and is usually an easier to run version of ray tracing on console as well. At least on pc you're able to change the settings to suit your needs which you can't on console. If you want to use ray tracing/path tracing in games then definitely go for the 4080 super
Its very weird. When it says i get 100 fps with fluid motion frames it doesn't feel like 100 fps to me. Could be because the frame time is so up and down
@@hircine92h Wrong, its about frame rate. Without ray tracing you can get high enough FPS on 4K that it will bottleneck 7900XTX. But again why not just cap the FPS to monitor's refresh rate. People always whine about bottlenecks and never learned how you can manage them.

Cyberpunk really looks good with path tracing imho. It’s a shame that Ngreedia locks the newest features only for the latest cards otherwise I would have upgraded my 3060 to a Nvidia GPU but I’m perfectly happy with my 7900 GRE for the performance it delivers specially at that price. At least AMD does not lock down the features for the older cards which are perfectly capable.
Yeah i think path tracing looks great too. Its not really the case that they "locked" frame generation for only 40 series cards. 40 series are the only cards that have the hardware where frame generation works. It wouldn't work on older gpu's even if they wanted it to
@@BenchmarkBoy no FG is not locked to the 40 series only. It’s a way of getting people to upgrade to the latest gen. Look at AMD. You can enable AFMF through the drivers for the 6000 & 7000 series in every game that you like.

@@devjitdutta5670 I know you're not talking about fsr but its important for you to understand how the technologies are different. Because fsr and afmf are software based they dont require specific gpu hardware so they can be "switched" on via driver level. AMD dont use frame generation they use frame interpolation. Nvidia's technology is hardware based (not like amd). It cant be switched on in the same way driver level because the hardware doesn't exist on those gpus. They cant enable it for older cards. The older cards don't have the optical flow hardware for frame generation to work. It would be like trying to switch on tesla electic vehicle technology "driver level" in a petrol car - it wont work

It seems amd fluid motion skews the holy grail of graphics cards comparisons - fps. Wonder if this also happens with dlss at higher resolutions and with all rt features on

No matter what they do, they are always one step behind nvidia. Hope they catch up to 4090 at least in terms of ray tracing, I think they gonna lose on 5090.
Welp the 4090 is double or more... so this performance for 1000$ is superb..... the 4090 does not perform double not even half of yhis card, at most 35%, wo that to me is not justifiable for their price
the RTX 4090 cost in my country 2700$ the card cant play CP2077 2.1 patch with Pathtracing in native 1400p at Ultra graphic settings above 60 fps. so do not think AMD has to get the RTX 4090 performance in raytracing, they have to get double that performance and Nvidia has to decrease ther GPU prices by like 60-70% this is crazy how less FPS and performance you get for your money at Nvidia nowdays. the AVG. price of a 4080 is around 1400$ and if a 4090 cant deliver 60+ FPS in 1440p in CP2077 Max settings then a RTX 4080 will not do anything to that. But yes of course you have to pay that much money for Hardware that cant deliver you the performance you except for the price right ? So they add Software that cost them not that much as producing RT cores. The best thign is i am 100% sure DLSS 4.0 will be locked for RTX 4000 cards, Nvidia has to stop this BS too and support older cards but they do everything to make people upgrade as fast as possible because 12gb on a RTX 4070/4070ti is a joke and we are in a time where Games get better and better graphics and eat more performance, and it has nothing to do with bat optimazion ... you can optimaze a game for 5 years and dont get from 40 to 60 fps if the hardware itself cant do that. In other words we are in a time where the only one RT cards that can play at a smooth Frame rate in 1440p cost you more then a Gaming PC 4 years ago. Just the GPU cost as much as a gaming PC from the year 2019 with a GPU that can handle 1440p games with 100+ fps. We are in a time where i question why people think the future is Native Resolution because everyone crank ther Resolution up to 4k if possible or 1440p when they render the game in a lower Resolution and upscale it to 1440p or 2160p this is not looking as good as native so why going up in resolution when you decrease the graphic with a upscaler ? 4k is dead and with Raytracing it is unplayable nowdays and this even with Graphic cards that cost you around 1500 - 3000$ that is kinda stupid.
Agree that Nvidia is a lil OverHyped also way OverPriced!! because most i see is a 30% higher on the 4090 over the 7900XTX, the XTX u can get at 900$ the 4090 is around 2000! so dbl the price but not even close of double the performance, not even half! so... naaaaah! id say if the 4090 is in EVERYTHING 40% or plus Faster than the XTX then it would be a good deal! but for the small higher performance it gives you now! its just to crazy to pay 2k!!! id be comfortable to pay 1600 on the 4090, i think it shouldn't be more than that for what iot offers now "USA"@@allxtend4005
Yikes. The 7900XTX gets compared to the 4090 sometimes .. which should never happen. Mostly it gets compared to the 4080 which is more reasonable but the 4080 absolutely crushes these stats. Bruh these ray tracing and path tracing options are literally just switches for cutting your fps in half (or more) with arguably non-existant visual improvements (depends on the game).
I disagree that there's non-existent visual improvements. There's quite a big difference with path tracing on in my opinion especially at 4k but yeah its a huge performance loss especially with amd cards
@@BenchmarkBoy my brother in Christ, path tracing at 4k? Do I need to sell my kidney to get a PC that can survive this? Sure it's cool technology but it's just not worth it.
This is why people like to pay the premium to buy Nvidia. DLSS, FG, DLAA is miles ahead of AMD and will continue to be so till AMD actually develop a hardware solution.
If AMD and NVIDA would stop yanking our chain about how fast there GPUs' are, we wouldn't need all this plasebo crap. They brag about how fast these cards are over the last generation. Well guess what, there full of sheet. If there GPUs where as fast as they say they are, we wouldn't need DLSS, FSR and call this other garbage.
I think some of the issue is that tech stuff like path tracing is developing faster than what the gpu's and gpu related development can keep up with. The big issue with amd hardware is they have no dedicated ray tracing cores
Basically you can play Cyberpunk 2077 with a decent 60+ fps almost every time on HIGH in 1440p Native with a RTX 3070 and Cyberpunk not as VRAM heavy, you are easily around 6GB of usage. And yes, too advanced technologies and the hardware can't catch up with it.
I cant play with fsr or dlls. It looks mudy and bad. Both RT and PT are just a gimmicks to me. They dont look that much of diffirence and make problems on graphics too.
Why do you have lower fps with your 7900XTX with FSR enabled as I do with mods and FSR off? Perhaps the reason your card stays under 400+W ;) I even use higher LOD and increased draw distance. And I will never get why people use FSR at all if turning down resoultion without FSR will result in better image quality with no ghosting. If you cant see the differences between 4k FSR on\off your eyesight isnt really good or your monitor too small then go on, I see a huge loss in texture details as soon as FSR is on. If I wanted fake frames with higher latency I would turn this feature on at my tv which costs 0 performace and works with all games and still its. But please stop saying you are playing anything 4k if you use FSR and you are not rendering at 4k at all. You are maxed at 66% of 4k with FSR. You can say playing at 4k if you render at least at 4k, downscaling if fine, upscaling is if you need the frames and dont care about image quality
Weird that rtx 3080 can get 15 fps in cyberpunk at 1440p all maxed witu path tracing and no fsr and no dlss...and with dlss quality 30-40 fps...and for the 7900xtx at 4k with fsr performance which randers things at 720p it is just 22 fps....well, not realy aples to aples comparision but ya know...prety similar performance. For me with a 3080 is playable with path tracing.
Amazing price to performance for 1440p, no AMD card is a true 4k card yet, you just can't bells and whistles a game released in fucking 2020 let alone anything in UE5 at 4k. Once RTX is turned on the card is just destroyed, again in a game released in 2020 (late). 4K is still a pretty stupid resolution to try to game with, especially with how bad UE5 games are crushing rigs.

Id imagine it will have some sort of ray tracing. Considering that the game will last for at least the next 10 years. Worst-case scenario it can just be modded
From the recent Digital Foundry brake down of GTA VI trailer, it seems there are plenty of evidence that there will be either ray tracing or some very, very convincing alternative.

Maybe there is a solution once it develops more
same with nvidia frame gen, they recommend 60+ fps before frame gen enabled. so its to get 100+fps, not 60+
@@mirage8753 people all think frame gen is magical enough to bring any games to 60+.
In alan wake, I hit mostly 60fps with dlss + fg + rt using 4060. Barely notice the difference in input lag while playing it
There are two things I can get from this, firstly, Fluid Motion Frames is great, AMD has really improved in software support for their GPUs.
It is absolutely worth it if you are able to run it with decent fps (don't forget it's just a tech demo for now)

ray traced reflections make a big difference, had to go back to reflections that make no sense after seeing ones that do especially in this game..
To get the advantages of fluid motion frames- you need to have at least 70 fps native.
It doesn't work well either way. Even if you have more than 70 fps native as soon as there's any movement your frames still drop

I guess when you buy a radeon it comes with a book explaining why raytracing is bad and why it doesn't work "well"
@No1l you told that lie with a straight face....smh
I'd honestly love to see a comparison between the 4070, 4080, 7900 XTX, and 7800 XT at 1440p, since I'm deciding between those GPUs (4080/7900 XTX when I can afford it, 4070/7800 XT for now since as of right now I'm targeting between $1500 and $2000 for a PC)
For 1440p you will do well with the 4070 or the 7800 XT. I personally would go for the 4070 unless the 7800XT price is low enough as to give up the following advantages:
- DLSS looks better than FSR
- There are many more games with DLSS "Frame Gen" option than there are with the just released FSR 3 Frame Gen
- You can also get away with a 500W-600W PSU if you don't go crazy with the CPU given that the 4070 consumes less than 200W
The main disadvantage is the 12 GB VRAM vs 16 GB VRAM which is irrelevant at this resolution and by that I mean if you plan to use DLSS at least on Quality all the time, it renders at 960p (below 1080p) and VRAM consumption is way below 12 GB.

What adrenaline settings were you using?
what specifically are you looking for?
@@BenchmarkBoy In adrenaline the graphics tab for Cyberpunk2077 like “Anti-lag” and “Radeon Boost” settings and also your OC tune.

It's good when you go from 60-70 to 120-130. You get a smoother fluid picture with okay input lag. Great for single player games.
AMD recommends 60 fps before you switch it on
Fluid Motion is great but it turns off when there is a lot of camera movement.
yeah i noticed this as well. Kind of odd
@@BenchmarkBoy I think its because during a lot of movement fluid motion cant predict the frame between frames and so it turn itself off.
@@BenchmarkBoy It is to prevent generating horrible frames.
@@Ilestun its pointless though if it disables every time theres movement
Interesting results...I do wonder though...if you were using a Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 9 in the 5000.and 7000 series if it would help a bit...especially considering the Adrenaline feature AND that those CPU's are actually APU's...plenty of settings in the CPU profile to tweak the output...anti-lag, v-sync, sharpen percentages, boost, and more...might reduce or eliminate lag and ghosting along with response times etc....tryin' to find videos of someone running CP2077 through something like a Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Raedon RX7900XTX at the same time in both 2K and 4K...to see if using the same CPU and GPU brand in this particular case may have some sort of minor symbiosis compared to Ryzen or Intel CPUs with Raedon Graphics or Nvidia Graphics...dunno something in My gut tells Me there may be some sort of variable to be found.

Its the equivalent of frame generation with amd on the driver level. Its still in beta at the moment. There are sometimes some weird imaging issues but it doesn't degrade image quality for the most part. No where near as bad for quality as upscaling the image is with something like fsr

Same count for FSR and DLSS, each of them has ther own problems this is why i better use AFMF then FSR.

AMD needs to Stop producing code that will work for all devices. Writing good drivers for your hardware is enough of a challenge but when you try to make it for other hardware it becomes a nightmare. Hire more MIT programmers and code writers. Now for CD project Red. They need to seriously work on optimizations for AMD and find a way to increase FPS with path tracing and reduce input lag and ghosting for all cards.
I agree. Id prefer we just got FSR 3 natively implemented in games rather than driver level fluid motion frames for all dx11 and dx12 games. Its like the saying "a jack of all trades is a master of none"
They have become an Nvidia company basically. Anything Nvidia touches will run lke shit on AMD. Been that way since gimp works. I live having driver level features for games that dont have it. Especially for my min rig that only has a RX 6000M in it.
Input Lag is too high with FMF!
The biggest issue for me is how the fps drops so much when there's high movement
I'm so confused. How do you enable AFMF in this game?
Its driver level so you can only enable it through amd adrenaline software
you have to play in FullWindow Mode (boardless works somehow too if you use the option) and no Vsync then it is working. AFMF is working in every game not just CP2077 ... i have in Some games that are older over 1400 fps ... yes somewhow stupid but it is what it is not that somebody will see any difference between 150 and 1400 fps but it is what it is.
@@devjitdutta5670 If you think its only locked behind 40 series to make you buy the new cards then i dont think you understand the gpu architecture. Its only available on the 40 series because of the optical flow accelerators. Those are simply not good enough on older gpu architecture for it to work. AMD fsr is software based so yes it will work on anything. Dlss is hardware based so it only works on nvidia cards because amd cards dont have the hardware to run it.
@@BenchmarkBoy I’m not talking about FSR. I know what DLSS is. What I’m saying is that Nvidia could have enabled FG through the drivers for the older cards just like AMD did.
It would be like trying to switch on tesla electic vehicle technology "driver level" in a petrol car - it wont work
Why you say rtx, it is just RT. Rtx is a brand does not mean ray tracing.
Its not just a brand. RTX stands for "Ray Tracing Texel eXtreme". It just means the gpu is capable of ray tracing. amd cards are also capable of ray tracing
It seems amd fluid motion skews the holy grail of graphics cards comparisons - fps. Wonder if this also happens with dlss at higher resolutions and with all rt features on
do you mean how the movement drops the fps? No, that doesn't happen with dlss. dlss 3.5 also improves image quality massively with ray tracing on
I mean the latency when playing wit fps being just a number as a result and not a real metric anymore. Good to hear nvidia is better in this regards as you say@@BenchmarkBoy
BOOOY!!! HELLOO!! please do test Alan Wake 2 on 4070ti my best benchmark boy!!! 😁
Hey! Yes i will test that
No matter what they do, they are always one step behind nvidia.
The 4090 is more than double the performance. If i play native 4k with path tracing the xtx is less than 10 fps. My 4090 is 25 fps
the RTX 4090 cost in my country 2700$ the card cant play CP2077 2.1 patch with Pathtracing in native 1400p at Ultra graphic settings above 60 fps.
so do not think AMD has to get the RTX 4090 performance in raytracing, they have to get double that performance and Nvidia has to decrease ther GPU prices by like 60-70% this is crazy how less FPS and performance you get for your money at Nvidia nowdays.
the AVG. price of a 4080 is around 1400$ and if a 4090 cant deliver 60+ FPS in 1440p in CP2077 Max settings then a RTX 4080 will not do anything to that.
@@BenchmarkBoyno shit ur using RT of course it will be double performance 😂😂
Yikes. The 7900XTX gets compared to the 4090 sometimes .. which should never happen. Mostly it gets compared to the 4080 which is more reasonable but the 4080 absolutely crushes these stats. I have an AM4 PC with a 5900X and an 4080.. numbers are similar in the first test and much higher everywhere else. Especially the Path Tracing tests. 4K Ultra w/ Path Tracing, Ray Reconstruction on I'm seeing 45-60 fps even in the nicer Phantom Liberty content. Upto 80ish in less demanding areas.
Literally nobody compares the 7900XTX to the 4090, plus this game heavily favors Nvidia gpu's, most other games the 7900XTX is faster than the 4080.
Where do you enable Fluid Motion Frames on the 7900xtx in Cyberpunk 2077? I don't see that in the visuals menu.
Fluid motion frames is enabled from the driver level so it can only be enabled from amd adrenalin software

💀okay buddy. If you think spending $1000 more is worth getting a bit more performance, sure thing man.
