- Like many small channels I've use the UA-cam free music library for most of my videos for background music and to prevent copyright strikes, I never thought of using a paid music service even though I'd gotten copyright strikes a few times for downloading certain music. When Artlist reached out to me and gave me access to their entire library I realized the benefit of having "real music" to search through to find something perfect for my projects.

Hey OC, I fully understand, I was looking at their stock footage site also and said dang that would save so much time from me having to go out and shoot b roll establishing shots and stuff. I too am not ready to pull trigger either though.

Hey Ray, my brother, thanks for covering royalty-free music! 😊 UA-cam’s free music library is underwhelming, to put it nicely, so I’m open to alternatives. I understand that the right music can enhance the message of your content, as well as establish the tone and atmosphere. I’m honestly surprised that you can just pay for one month and download all the music you want to use forever and ever, even after you cancel the service, if I’m hearing you correctly. 🤔 Hmm, I don’t think better music necessarily leads to higher traffic, but if for whatever reason, I decide I’ve had enough of crummy music, I know where to find your affiliate link! 💖

I would probably check this out if I knew I was going to be more productive on here, but so far I've survived using some random stuff from royalty free sites. You do a lot more reviews and your production quality is a lot higher standard than mine though, so I can see where you would get a lot of benefit/use out of it. Definitely been enjoying the new music in your recent vids. Keep up the good work man, hope you and the family are staying safe.
Hello techno thanks for noticing the changes. And I fully agree that it's best to be making money with your content before migrating to a paid music service but I'm glad I was able to be exposed to this it really unlocks some potential I didn't know I had. Thanks for checking it out as usual.
@@Raychristofer Your old music was great to, but the last couple of vids the music has kind of made them sound a bit more hype...if that makes sense, lol. Brings a lot of fun and energy. I make a little bit here and there off this hobby, but just overall with gaming videos I don't really need that much background music. It would be cool to use for photography stuff and the occasional review I'm able to do, but at the moment just not there yet. Maybe once this Covid stuff blows over and I stop having to spend so much on groceries I can spurge for it. Never realized how much I drink and snack when I'm not at work.

It's definitely for business people but I think I have five videos in my lifetime that got copyright strikes. It would really be a tragedy if that video was for a paid job

Hello from what I understand they say it's a monthly price but it's really a yearly subscription you pay for and the price they quote shows what it would cost it divided by 12. So yeah , but honestly the last two short film skits I did I would not have been able to produce without that library, well I could have done it with the UA-cam library but I may not have found what I was exactly looking for

True things bro! Good music is a very important thing of every specific video. Successful films would not be great without original music score. A soundtrack that emphasizes a particular situation. I once tried to apply for the Artist as a composer program. But unfortunately they work with a limited number of more modern countries.
Don't pay them any mind, if they think modern country has something to do with better music they're living in the Stone age LOL. There's a young boy in a poor town in Africa and when you see him draw people's portraits it looks hyper realistic like a photograph.
@@Raychristofer This is not the point. The point is rather that in those countries the protection of digital individual property works better and there is less corruption. That's all. It's sad. If those in power wanted to live in an honest world, they would have helped other countries long ago. But, you yourself know the situation in the world.

Thanks Ray, I have been mulling over subscribing to a music provider for a long time. It’s so hard to choose one. Artlist was the first one I heard of, then I heard of epidemic sound and soundbed I think it was. Some include stock footage as well. Either way they are all a few hundred dollars a year, so I want to get it right lol. But I like what you said with artlist, I can download the music, get the license file, and still create a video 2 years later. I definitely need something better than UA-cam library and bensound, because my selections are limited.
Hey BB, yes that means you're planning on giving up the channel I guess. That's awesome. There's also some UA-cam artist that make copyright free music that you can download and they just ask that you give them credit in your video description. How are you handling the corona situation and how does it affect your channel video production?
Man I haven’t been able to create anything. When my channel is all about outdoor adventure lol. We are easing restrictions now and they’re saying we can go camping again after June 12. It will be mid winter but I don’t care, I have a few multi day hikes planned.
