You're going to love it! That gun is one of the ones I have in a 'go bag'! For me, it had to be something about flush with the top mount, so I went with a Holosun 507. It works perfectly! Let me know what you end up getting for it.
I did mine a few hours ago. Man it's laughable how easy it is 😅 I cut right before the drill hole. Pulled the other barrel out and put the other one in. Make sure u use a dowel or rod as u slide the old barrel out then replace new barrel. I used a cleaning rod. It's super easy man.
Thanks for watching! Well, I can't do one of how I actually did it, because I just cut mine off, but I did look at this video first, and it's great if you want to keep the barrel: ua-cam.com/video/g9b8cYjLLJw/v-deo.html Now all I did was locked the end of the 16" barrel shroud in the vice and cut through both the shroud and the barrel at about the very front 1/3rd of the length closest to the receiver. Then, put a 22LR cleaning rod through the barrel from the front (handle of the cleaning rod should be at the 'muzzle' end of the barrel and after you remove the piece of the shroud and are left only with the piece of barrel that is still in the receiver). Then pull the barrel out toward the breech and leave the cleaning rod in place. Then, take the 10.4" CMMG barrel and slide it over the cleaning rod from the breech to the front and guide it over and through the 3 springs that are there, then pull out the cleaning rod, and screw on the CMMG front end thread adapter. I hope that helps.
Thanks for watching! Yes, according to the Silencer Co. instructions, you shouldn't have any exposed threads. The theory is that you're locking the suppressor against a flush-fitting spacer, so that way it won't accidently unthread. I verified this with them by email. Silencer Co does have 2 types of spacers, threaded and unthreaded.
@@docgsreloading7985 i was wondering because I have a vector with an Osprey and have like 1 or 2 threads exposed. But the Osprey doesn’t come loose with the majority of the weight being down. Do you think I still need a spacer? It’s never come loose yet.
@@m0cho I would say if you have that few of threads showing, and you haven't had a problem, I wouldn't worry about it. My Switchback has about 5 threads exposed on my PS90 and I can't thread it on any further so I'm just going to use the spacer. I'd just check yours on occasion to make sure it's not loosening. It won't affect the functioning at all for sure. I have both the threaded and non-threaded spacers and I can just leave the threaded one in place.
Yeah, I heard that and couldn't believe it! My last suppressor was just under 6 weeks, which I thought was fast, but one guy there at the shop had his done in 3 days.
In a lot of the PS90 reviews they talk about putting a strip of velcro on the side of the trigger casing that faces the ejection port to prevent it from getting dinged up. Have you done that on yours yet? I just got my PS90 and I am waiting on my tax stamp to install a CMMG barrel, but going through the laundry list of chores that need to be completed. Just curious if you have any insight into what kind of velcro, etc. Irritating thing is that whenever they show their trigger box it never has velcro on it, so I almost suspect it is a myth. :)
Thanks for watching! I have not yet put a piece of Velcro on--we must have watched the same video! I do have a piece of the 'soft' part of the Velcro to eventually put on the front of the hammer assembly but haven't done it yet. I took my PS90 out to the range yesterday for the first time with the short barrel on it and I LOVE THIS GUN!! We shot it with and without suppressors with no change in impact out to 100 yards. No recoil and extremely accurate. I have a huge amount of $$ invested in firearms, optics, and accessories in about every caliber from 22LR to 50BMG and this 19", 6lb. bullpup, 50 round, 5.7mm rifle I like even more than my Hellion! The gun is so light and works so flawlessly and the trigger isn't even that bad for a bullpup. I plan on shooting it at a local shoot I do near me where they have a "carbine" day and you can shoot any sporting rifle, and we have a shoothouse to clear with corners and maneuvering. I'll do another video soon where I talk about how happy I am with the PS90. I love everything about this rifle and I'm so happy I got it and put the short barrel on it--just like it was designed to be!
Thanks for watching! I can't remember the video resource--it might have been Kentucky Ballistics or a different video resource, but there was a video with chronograph data for the difference between the stock and 10.4" barrels and it wasn't over 100fps difference. Plus, the 5.7 has about 5 grains of powder and that round was designed/optimized for the 10.4" barrel, so I think it's accurate from what the difference would be. Let me know if you find anything different.
I think you're asking the wrong question. The 5.7 pistol still compromises all the same levels of body armor and only falls about 2.5 inches at 200 yards. This gun is not designed to operate at more than 50 yards. It CAN but that's just a testament to the engineering. It's a close quarters, armor compromising weapon. (Thus the compact, no-snag design) A slight drop (even 1000 fps) is not going to impact the function of this weapon or prevent it in doing what it was meant to do. A shorter barrel only makes it do its job better.
Thanks for watching! I submitted my eForm via Silencer Shop--and you have to have a DOJ eForms account (if you haven't done that already). Whenever I've checked mine via my DOJ online account, all it'll say is "in process". You can also call the ATF (make sure you have the firearm serial number before you call). Here's BATFE's number: (304)616-4500 but don't expect them to tell you much--they're not rude, just not very talkative. My last suppressor was 8 months to the day.
Thanks for watching--but not $50.00, it was $250.00 total. $205.00 plus the $45.00 charge that Silencer shop adds to it for them to make a profit. They submit it electronically for you and make it very easy and worth the extra $$.
Hey Brother, How did your ps90 work with the SRD22X ? I am ready to sbr my ps 90 What did you put on your paperwork for barrel length?. I'm not buying a new barrel I'm cutting and threading the original. Thanks.
Thanks for watching and your questions! So don't use the SRD22X for the 5.7!! I damaged my end cap when shooting through my PS90 and when I contacted Sig Sauer for the repair, they said that it is not rated for 5.7X28. Sig did replace the end cap and all the baffles as a one-time 'favor' (so they absolutely have great customer service). Now, I'm using the Silencer Co. Sparrow and Switchback models for my PS90 (and all my other 5.7 caliber guns) now. On my paperwork I put down 19" overall length and 10.4" barrel length. It took them 3 weeks to get it back to me. Let me know if you have any other questions!
So much useful information in this video! Thanks for the wisdom!
You sir own my dream gun
Thanks! I'll tell you, that gun is just one of 3 I have in my "go bag" if things fell apart! I love it that much!
recently bought mine :) still figuring out which sight to put on it... right now its just an old spare RDS.

If you’re going from 16 inch barrel to a 10.4 aren’t you losing more than 100 fps? I’d really like to see the ballistics on that. Just curious is all.
