    FINALLY! Someone sees the beauty in these old gals! I love these Corollas and I've always wanted to do some stupid stuff with one, and you have quenched my thirst! I hope more people see what you and I see!

      Right? Thank you for watching. Lots more to come for this beauty. Gambler video is being uploaded now! Next up is body work and paint. Still looking for better rubber too.

      @@DirtGarage Anytime, these Corollas are my like my soul and I can't wait to see more of iy! This little thing went from daily mom car to a mad Max road beast, and with better tire it'll look even more like the part.

      Of course! We where fighting a memory card at that point, and only got the end bit of it. So we did not get the juicy gush of oil spewing out of the oil pan unfortunately. Sequence still worked out great!

      The Corolla surprisingly has the perfect body lines to build a bumper off of!

    I’m doing the same thing to a wrecked, abandoned 2006 I got for the cost of repairs $50, and back registration fees $240. Also planning to add a lsd and turning brake setup.

    You need to change the engine oil pump if you tend to gear down a lot, they are known to be weak if you gear down.

    Man I'm shocked that 1ZZ engine made it that far. They usually start burning a ton of oil from my experience

    6:19 not really cause in a crash it crumples cause force is crazy high but normal hits like rocks, small tree won't do anything to it. It's probably stronger than normal frame cause it was designed to handle 40G crashes.

    putting a steal bumper on a Corolla is a down grade. It's meant to have a plastic and foam bumper. All you're doing is making more susceptible to damage since the bumper is at the same height as the oil pan.

    • @DirtGarage
      @DirtGarage  2 роки тому

      Are you kidding? Do you see the size of the skid plate we added that covers the oil pan

    • @newera4k333
      @newera4k333 2 роки тому

      Because plastic and foam will somehow protect a vehicle better than a steal bumper?
