I have an 05. I w like to raise. Any sources? (It's also silver like the dudes on here.) I don't think I need that much raising, so maybe a combo of higher profile rims and tires and a small spacer will do it?
I realized my e11 (eu version pre facelift) had good ground clearance, im a big guy and can crawl below from the back to the front without jacks. Previous owner also had some big tires installed, so big that the chassy would touch them while turning. Would be fun to lift it a bit for all the underbody work ill have to do but ig it would result in worse aerodynamics
Sometimes on an open diff drive you can hold the brake and floor it in 1st then let off just enough brake pressure to slowly move and the braking force against both axles will hold the spider gears and evenly give drive to both wheels....just don't power brake too long and burn up your transmission
@@DirtGarage did some research and turns out Im not allowed to do it in Australia, its illegal and voids all insurances even if a person is injured and it was not my fault. Heart broken!!!

Hey! That is awesome. I would highly recommend it 🤙 Alignment is good! I was able to get it aligned almost perfect after. Just a tiny bit of camber, but that can easily be fixed with cam bolts!
You can remove the windscreen washer bottle and replace it with a smaller bag washer that you can put in the engine bay. It'll make the front look heaps better.

That's awesome! I'm an amateur hurricane chaser and have been looking at old 4 runners, but you got me thinking about throwing a lift on my old Corolla. How bad is the ride? I'll be making long trips
Honestly I felt no difference in ride quality at all. If anything it was better, but I replaced the front struts at the same time as lift. But I still drive the thing just as fast around corners as before, and take it on long road trips. Its my daily driver and I love it! Would also highly recommend a 4Runner too..

You got the one and only part you need to be a reliable offroader. The Toyota badge 👍 In all seriousness, this Corolla is entirely stock (aside from the custom lift kit, and bumper) and it has been beaten on bush roads, and continues to be reliable! I have no plans to beef up the suspension because nobody makes anything to do so! So I'll continue to send it as is, you guys will know when it breaks, I'll for sure make a video.
Hey I have a 06 Toyota matrix I want to lift but don't have the tools. I know Amazon sells 1.5 lift kits for cars but is there a way to go higher without doing yourself?
What you can do is take the struts off or buy a extra set. Take it to a machine shop and they can fabricate a set of lift spacers for you. Cost is all depending on the shop. I would also do a frame drop also if the lift is going to be 2.5-3 inch lift. That's to help with the angle of the axles fro binding when at a higher height. They are just spacers that goes between the frame and it's bolts. This is what us Honda CR-V guys do to our for lift. You can check out Honda Rescue Garage also for info.

@@shawn_herrera Not a bunch. But it did. I have a theory that if I replace them the wobble will go away. Just because they where at the old angle for hundreds of thousands of kilometers, and the sudden change has it sitting in a different wear spot.
