Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.
History possibly repeating itself in Minneapolis..May 2020
Will this happen in all 50 states
History tends to repeat itself
It’s a lot worst now
@@Thenormalguy_real_one no it's not, not even close, and hopefully stays that way. 2,500+ injured, 63 killed, 12,000+ arrested. The LA riots of 92 were more destructive than all American riots since combined
Jarred Gibson sorry meant to say it’s going to be worse

"Don't worry guys, i got this covered, we have pepsi. Repeat: we have pepsi"
Serious but a good meme 👌🤜🤛
I was 11 years old when the riots broke out and lived in Compton, Ca. I remember at one point things got so bad that there was a cease for police to not go into the city so basically there was no law enforcement coming into the cities affected at all. It was a war zone and I will never forget.
This is history repeating itself all over again. I’m only 20 years old and I’ve seen things I thought I would never see. This is tragic and terrifying.

Let's hope it will all calm down after a just verdict. Otherwise, people's properties are going to be on fire again. That includes African Americans.
Amen to that.
Why do I own guns?
Because I remember living in East LA during the riots, and not seeing a single police car (except for those escorting firefighters to/from the seemingly endless blazes that razed so many neighborhoods in those 3 awful days) our neighborhood was tense, but everyone opened for business, there were groups of punks out looking for trouble and a few of them tried to act the fool, (knowing the police were too overwhelmed to stop looting), but every shop had owners, employees, and even neighbors with guns either holstered, tucked into waistbands/backs, or pockets in plain view, a few small store owners sat on the roofs of their livelihoods with shotguns and/or rifles at the ready. Our neighborhood operated largely as normal (except for the curfew and subsequent military patrols) but we the people, policed ourselves, as the punks knew that to step out of line, would mean a quick, non-judicious death sentence.
If you don't mind me asking, how old were you at that time and were there any shots fired in your neighborhood?
Situations like these are the only ones were i can somewhat agree with people defending america's first amendment. But really only in those situations . Generally, i still disagree with the first amendment. But im a European, so what do i know about stuff like this?
Guardian of the Hill The First Amendment is about freedom of speech and similar freedoms. Why would you ever be against that?
Phunny i think he means the second
@@guardianofthehill Wrong amendment dude, first amendment is the Freedom of speach, you're thinking of the second amendment which gives people the right to have a well regulated and armed militia.
GTA:SA's story was partly biased on this.

Of course
Yeah! It was in the antepenultimate mission and it only ended when the tenpenny overturned a fire truck and died and CJ managed keep a order in LS
Not really. What happened to Rodney King didn't need to happen. The police were not justified in beating him. GTA SA got it right on the situation and Tenpenny and his team were an accurate portrayal of C.R.A.S.H
The National Guard was too late. Damage was already done.
It would have been better if the National Guard was put on standby on the day of the verdict in the Rodney King beating trial. In addition to having the National Guard on standby; they should have dropped warning leaflets on South Central Los Angeles warning the residents that if they reacted with violence to the verdict; the police and National Guard will respond with rapid militarization and brute force. Much like how the United States dropped warning leaflets on Japan before the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. The United States had these pamphlets written up by Japanese Prisoners of War and dropped over major cities in Japan. Sources disagree on when the dropping of the pamphlets stopped; with some claiming that the United States stopped dropping the pamphlets in early July and others saying that this stopped just days before Hiroshima was bombed. Regardless; the pamphlets warned the Japanese of major air raid and fire bombing campaigns, encouraged evacuation and surrender, and also listed major cities in Japan as potential targets; with the exception of Hiroshima.
Just like now
@@michaellovely6601 Yes, absolutely
@@soniasg8639 There are a few interesting but little-known facts about the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki; one fact is that Ginkgo trees in the area of the Hiroshima bombing survived albeit with mild charring and are still growing today. Another is that Nagasaki was not the original target of the second bombing. The five original targets for the bombings were Hiroshima, Kokura, Yokohama, Kyoto, and Niigata. Kokura and Niigata were spared due to the weather conditions, Yokohama is close to Tokyo and was largely decimated from both conventional air raid and fire bombing campaigns. Henry Stimson- who was the Secretary of War at the time- had spent his honeymoon in Kyoto and was so fond of the city that he asked for Kyoto to be spared.
@@michaellovely6601 and if you really want to make sure that riots NEVER happen, its to put the army in alert too
And it's happening again 😔
idk how i feel about riots but fires are definitely one thing i hate :/ i hope this current situation gets resolved in the best way possible
It would take a long time before The Riots end
Edit: nvm the LA 92 part okay?
It got resolved decades ago
@@decoder7233It was resolved in 1992 lmao
You know everytime I see stuff about the L.A. riots it's frustratingly annoying that it's made to seem as though the entire city was engulfed in looting, fires and violence… I was 16 when the L.A. riots happened and my neighborhood was peaceful and far away from the chaos! We watched on tv in awe just as the rest of the country/ world did!
Over 1,000 buildings were destroyed, this is sort of expected.
Which neighborhoods were unaffected? there were deaths in the San Fernando Valley.
Well ye but majority of the riots took place in South Central LA, high minority area with high poverty rates at the time..... its common knowledge that the LA riots didn't happen all over LA
People complain about the 2020 riots, when the LA riots where the worst in history.
And this video recomendetion by youtube mid 2020. Amazing
this footage is incredible
Awesome documentary.
Watch the movie. Its better

"90s is best decade" well..... if that case why that happened?
yet you have imports as your profile picture. that r32 gt-r is straight from the 90's. that datsun 510 or whatever is from only a few decades earlier, where perhaps things were even worse in regards to laws and such.
yeah well not everything revolves around America. My country was totally fine so yeah, for most countries the ‘’90s is the best decade’’
@@imanekandili9740 I wouldnt exactly say this represents 90s America. Los Angeles California is just one city in a country with Thousands of cities and 50 states. The 1990s in America was pretty nice in most places.
This was 1990s South Central Los Angeles.... just a little context this was the most dangerous part of America for half the decade
@@imanekandili9740 The 1990s was the worst decade for violence worldwide, South America, Eastern Europe, Africa (Specially Central Africa) no decade before the 1990s and after the 1990s where as dangerous as the 1990s themselves.
When LA was Baghdad !!
No kidding!
Baghdad under Saddam was a LOT safer than LA
And you know why ?
Because Saddm responded with quick and brute force against any protests, and so that's the reason Baghdad was a safe place
