I missed Top Gear 3000. OMG when u installed that Frinctionless Gearbox u knew u were gonna go fast. I loved the idea of racing in alien world's. This was the first game I played all night with my brother. Until I started to feel dizzy about 2pm the next day hehe.
Great game,had it already in ps4 but got it also for switch,looks,sounds and plays fantastically.Anyone that liked games like outrun,lotus series should pic up this.

As for my favourite racing game from the 90s... either Need For Speed 2 SE or the first Gran Turismo. So much nostalgia there. As for the 80s... Accolade's Grand Prix Circuit got a lot of play time on my old IBM PC.
The horizontal splitscreen alone for 2 players was enough reason for me to buy this game, since mario kart and fast rmx had the horrible vertical splitscreen setup
@@SwitchWatch yeah it makes more sense for racing games, you have a full view of everything in horizontal splitscreen the same view you get in single player mode
My favorite racing game of all time is Cruis'N USA for Nintendo 64. I also liked the entire Cruis 'N series but that game in particular since it was the first arcade racer that I really enjoyed playing.
I usually kept my racing games to the arcades, and Cruis'n USA was my favorite coin-eater. Before that, it was definitely Out Run and Chase H.Q. (Really, who DOESN'T love ramming bad guy cars into submission?)
Top Gear 2 is love and I've missed it so much, I just downloaded Horizon Chase Turbo I started playing this game and I was just blown away it felt like the brought back my favorite racing game but they had to title and something else 😭
Some audio saturation on this video, but great review ! (also best racer of the 90s was probably ridge racer on the arcade side, and Gran Turismo 2 on the simulation side)
Terence, you noticed it mate, unfortunately my software is currupt beyond recovery. Its not working correctly so i had extensive issues. Had to make the best of what i could use in such limited time. Will be fixed on the next one. Thanks man

Race Drivin' all the way! I'm not really a PC gamer but I loaded tons of hours sitting in front of my dads Tandy computer building tracks and showing them off to my friends! Thanks guys! 👍
for some reason it has this minor glitch where it will just skip a frame for a milisecond and although its not much it does just take your concentration away and has caused me to hit a car or wall when it happens. You can see it in the video at 1.32 subtle sure , but for a game that goes so fast and smooth all the other times it becomes noticeable. Great game and reminds me so much of lotus on the Amiga. Favourite racing game for multiplay was Nitro and single player lotus 1 and 2 on the Amiga. Burnout 3 if I go with modern ish games. Dangerous driving coming out next year should scratch that itch.
You know what m8 I have started having this issue but when I first played it for hours it wasn't happening. Making me think if it is something to do with memory cards.
I thought that also so I took it off the memory card ie took memory card out and did a install on system memory but still same issue. So it might be some weird internet search issue ? No idea
haha, sorry I hope I didn't make it more annoying by mentioning it. I might try turning off ghost car maybe that could fix it? but i will message the developer and hopefully there is a patch coming. It does get really hard hey, I always look to the top left to see how many laps I have left and then smash into a barrier,haha @@SwitchWatch

Review top as usual. The game is awesome. I played them all back in the days and this one just gets it right with updated graphics. Would love if you could switch to a 16-bit graphics mode. The music is a perfect fit and very enjoyable. Unfortunately I have to wait for a sale because of the regular and much hated "Switch-tax". Why is this game 10x as much as on Android? I play in HD mobile and on the big screen, use a controller and paid only $2 not $20!!
By far my favorite, and first, racing game from back in the 90's was the SNES game Top Gear. Honestly when I first saw this game I was like, in these exact words, "Did they remake Top Gear?" I haven't gotten this game yet but I think I might actually now :)
Been thinking about picking this one up... it does look fun, but the lack of an online mode has really made me hesitate dropping the $20 for it. A real shame they couldn’t include an online mode.. that would have really taken it over the top. Oh well... maybe in a sequel since people obviously seem to be into this game.
This game didn't hook me up, because of the artistic design I was expecting a gameplay similar to Virtua Racing or Daytona but it plays like a Sprite based racer like outrun. It just didn't click with me

Good review. The best racing game of the 90s - no the best racing game ever- no, in fact, the best game ever: Snowboard Kids on n64. Never was so much fun had on any game.
Because of the collision, Horizon zero chase is one of the most frustrating racing game ever. Add in the very short laps and the chances to win are very low.

Horizon Chase is a fantastic brazilian game, there is even a PS4 physical edition being sold in Brazil.

Really wish there was more car options. Mostely just exotics and some iconic Muscle Cars. Not everyone wants exotics
