Great video! I found myself in the EXACT same situation. I am a console gamer and play most of my games on my Series X. I ended up taking the portal back to the store, but I kept my G cloud just for COD Mobile.
I had the G cloud, ditched it due to the thumb sticks and triggers. I have the portal I love the haptics and triggers but the stuttering on from the screen due to the 59hz refresh rate. Ultimately I use my steam deck or a gamesir G8 attached to my iPad or phone and it works so well. Was interested in the legion go or ROG Ally X.
Yeah it sounds like a lot of the issues I had with the gcloud and portal, they were great devices for sure but I wanted something that felt better with latency. I went with the legion go and absolutely love it, latency and the joysticks are incredible. Although it’s definitely much larger, I know the deck or the ROG ally can get you amazing latency results too and are more portable/less heavy than the legion is
The best and most honest review so far. I have gcloud and the joy stick is one thing but the decoding time really bothers me which no other UA-camr notice. I may go pick up legion Go now after watching this video. Thank you
I appreciate that thank you! Yeah the decoding latency I think is what really throws your aim off with the GCloud, it’s just enough to make you overcorrect or miss your target
Best combo to remote play from a Gaming PC (Moonlight/Sunshine) atm is Gamesir G8+ Plus controller attached to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, period. 11" OLED screen is unbeatable. Legion Go is second Best, because of the still only LCD screen + too heavy and uncomfortable yet much smaller screen (8.8") than Galaxy Tab S9 (11"). Also, the Tab S9 is better and arguably more practical than Legion Go and all the other handhelds at streaming Movies, series, anime and UA-cam because of the better and bigger OLED screen, and it's also more Comfortable to use and to carry on for reading books and mangas. Finally, 1600p resolution 120 fps over remote play is harder to accomplish on the Legion Go than the 1200p 120 fps of the S9 (requires far less internet bandwidth to achieve native resolution). Also The S9 costs less €€€.
I might have missed it but what are you using to stream to the legion go? I heard you mention moonlight on the gcloud i think but didnt hear the legion go. Im half asleep.
If you don’t mind me asking, how is the battery life on the Legion Go when streaming from your pc? I’m assuming since you aren’t pushing the GO super hard playing natively, streaming will give you more battery time?
Im on the fence for buying either this lenovo legion or steam deck oled. I will be streaming 90% of the time. However, Steam deck seems great but this screennn. What do you think?
I love the legion go, the screen is amazing. Unfortunately I can’t speak for the deck, I’ve never played on one but I’d imagine the OLED screen is also really nice
Hard choice, had the same devices and love the g cloud so much. It's a great device but the streaming costs long term o is what I'm looking at cause used handhelds are so cheap more than half the price here in the UK so they offey way more than G cloud especially in emulation. I like the 7 inch size its portable but for world of warcraft feels so small so I probably settle with theLegion... couldn't get any android tablet like Doogee T20 mini pro and Samsung A9 to work, the wifi chips in those are so awful and 11 inch or even 10 is too big. Wish there were better and more affordable 7 inch 1080p or 1200 options cause thats my sweet spot.
A real gamer with remote play, that's talk about decoding latency! Thank you! UA-camr is covered by ads and useless information (sometimes misleading).
Switching from a PS Portal to a G cloud this thing is sick and got it for 150

Any chance you could share some of your settings for moonlight/sunshine?

I am also using moonshine on the legion go

It’s actually pretty solid, I’d peg it at around 4 hours streaming. Still not as good as something like LG cloud orbit but still pretty good imo

Get the Legion is way more powerful than the steam deck, and the display on Legions is awesome. You would be like so impressed with the display
@@blastu2fool i bought the legion, so happy

Haha you’re welcome!
Is everything okay? You keep swallowing loudly, and the sound is really distracting. Could you please edit your videos to remove those sounds?
Just don't watch his videos.
