- Great view of turbofan spooling up and inlet condensation of the Continental Boeing 777-200ER General Electric GE90 High Bypass Ratio Engine during the high humidity day. Notice the condensation on top of the wing at rotation at ~2:12. The sound of the reduction of power from the takeoff to climb thrust at ~2:50 is quite noticeable. The gloominess disappears after breaking through the cloud layer at ~3:00. Almost imperceptible is the leading edge slat retraction at ~4:30.
Great take off!! From NRT!! im retired Continental emp from boston! what great piece! thanks for puting out there
Wow !!!!!!! Love the sounds !!!!!!!!
Gotta love the ge90 engines best engines on the market
Much better than P&W powered 777s that have been voluntary grounded by United after the Colorado engine failure/fire.
Two checklists at once !
not bad for this GE90-94B...
roaring up to Newark! :)
TOGA thrust indeed
Great Video

Seat 5A - the seat was not the flat layout as they are today.
This is a 777-200 the ER started with the heavier versions of the 777 with the GE 115b power plants.
Thanks for the video. What seat are you in?
Was that seat expensive?
lol god forbid
im all for 'video taping' take off, and landings of airplanes - for i always do this myself too, when i travel etc... however, why then on earth, do flight attendants always harass those few who care 'caught' due to 'supposedly not allow this', or in usa, every time there is some news occurrence, like the birds that flew in to engine, there is actually some stupid, person willing to show off their 'video taping' of taking off, when u are not allowed to do this? hypocritical usa, typical
