Same here @patdry I mentioned that to her last year when she started this series of how nice it would be to actually see the chart of her flight,,,, maybe she does read the comments.
Excellent piloting. Excellent: 1. patience, 2. Focus, 3. concentration, 4. Scanning (outside) , 5. position awareness and so much more. You flew aircraft and ignored your yootoob audience! Well done! Great pilot and great video.
Sure would love to see a video telling us a little more about you. How did you get interested in flying, what do you do for a living. You seem so young, yet so mature. Maybe you are older than I think. 😊 God bless and fly safe.
Your attention to detail, check lists and all show that you are a very competent flyer with whom anyone with any knowledge of aviation, me included, would feel quite safe riding along with. Makes your videos even more enjoyable. Thanks for taking me along. Absolutely love what you did to both those planes. Wish I could be at Oshkosh to say hello. and see it all in person.
Having been one of the controllers working OSH (2000-2004) it is the biggest event that I miss since retiring. Thank you for sharing your arrival experience, and I hope you have fun.
I am not a pilot but a huge aviation person, there is nothing like seeing you fly right over where I grew up. On the south side of Green Lake is where I was born and raised. To see that camera angle of you flying right over the bridge and the county park was incredible. Loved it!
@@JoeKrueger-q4m oh man. I know every street on the west side of brisbane but it w so mind blowing when I started flying overhead. The actual lie of the land was so different to my mental map, plus how quickly you are past it all.
as one of the lifetime residents of Oshkosh: Thank you for coming to EAA I hope you had a wonderful time and explored the town. We appreciate all the tourism that EAA brings to us.
Enjoyed your video. I owned a 1947 C140 back in the 1970's and flew it from Orange County (SNA) to Oshkosh in 1978. Flying into Oshkosh is so much fun. Listing to your radio traffic from Fisk to landing is just how I remember it back in '78. Thanks for sharing your video.
Stevie! I just watched a youtube from AOPA on FLOW - a method to do checklist without looking down so much. I reminded me about how you were doing your checklists in the Baron! I was immediately impressed with your checklist recitation and now know where AOPA got FLOW from. They got it from you Stevie! Thanks. Happy flying.
You earned a sub, young lady...!! Nicely done...!! I'm not sure if you were here (I live in Oshkosh) this year, but nevetheless, welcome to Oshkosh... we're so happy to have you...!!
Flown from Camarillo to Oshkosh twice. Best adventure ever. Tried to hit as many small towns in each state hitting each capital too ! Take the northern route on the way back. Hit Rapid City and circle mountain Rushmore. Sturgis might be going in too ! Safe trip !
Always enjoy watching your videos. Missed them for a while there. It is always a delight to see your planes, your professionalism, the landscapes. Great editing and the overlay was a nice touch. You and Garmin and everyone else involved in the layout of both the 140 and the v-tail are to be commended. They just look so great!
20:04 Love this! This view makes me so happy. Last year I spent a good chunk of a day watching all the showplanes taxi in and get towed to booths. I"ll be there in two days! Whoo-hoo!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY the longest trip to Oshkosh is done.....just in time to start it allllll over again the lil map overlay was awesome. Always hoping for more uploads later this year =]
Awesome, Stevie, it was worth the wait for these last two episodes!! I love watching the arrivals to AirVenture! I hope you're having a great show this year and can't wait to see the videos.😊
Excellent work Stevie! You are indeed a naturally gifted pilot. I know a few who could not have coped with that approach. The 140 is such a graceful aircraft.
I currently live a couple miles straight north of Wittman in Oshkosh but grew up on a farm about 1 1/2 miles from Fisk. It’s straight in front of your prop at the 17:14 mark. Took a bike ride around the airport last night and although there wasn’t a lot of planes here yet, there was a lot of campers. Great video Stevie!
All that air traffic chatter near Oshkosh would blow me away, railway tracks, coloured dots, land on the numbers, runway left, right, grass 🤯yeah stressful to the max
That approach is wild. I knew Oshkosh was very busy, but the amount of traffic on a 'non busy' day is amazing. And the high traffic level management with one way comms was fascinating. (not counting wiggles as conventional 'comms' 🙂) Thanks for sharing.
Hi Stevie, Congrats on your fine flight to Oshkosh. I have been looking for your videos and haven't seen any.. Glad you are ok, and happy to see you flying. Great job flying...
Welcome to Oshkosh and thanks for posting this video, it's fascinating to see all the different videos people are putting out of them arriving at Oshkosh.
Awesome video! I closed my eyes as your were making your run in to Oshkosh. It took me back to my time in service and listening to the radio news. Awesome
I did a lot of controlled AS practice at our local metro apt with a ANG F-16 fighter wing and the tower was never this busy - it';s a joy to listen to how good they are managing high stress loads~this is "pushing tin" for real
What a pleasant surprise to fire up the computer and see Miss Stevie and "Lil Ugly" finishing their trip to Oshkosh! Wow! Been missing you and your adventures. Keep 'em coming. Many Blessings and fly safe.
Very nicely done! I'm near your departure at KWHP with my 172 and wish I had the nerve to make that trip myself, which is unbelievable. The map overlay helped me follow along. Thanks for sharing your adventure! 😅
I like this young lady's self confidence yet she doesn't make assumptions. She xhecks everything leaving nothing to chance. I really like this little plane she is flying. If I wasn't 73 years old I would introduce myself like any young guy would do. Well done. young lady.
It's cool seeing someone basically the correct size for that aircraft. Makes me glad but also a little wistful to think about experiences I can't have as a big boofy bloke. It is cool being able to reach high things and open tight jars.
I am very impressed. You are a seasoned pilot when it comes to how you fly-. I do not fly-, but for 15 years I owned, built, set up and drove midgets and sprint cars. Those racing cars have the same build and maintenance standards as aircraft. but risks and consequences if not respected and fatalities are not unusual. Enjoy Oshkosh.
Thanks for sharing and great job! Next year overnight 50 nm away, arrivals start at 7am. Then you can relax and watch the circus from your lawn chair. Cheers!
Yeiii ... You made it to Oshkosh Stevie...!! Always a pleasure to fly with you Captain 🫡😊 That was pretty cool, beautiful scenery ❤ Thanks for the ride! 🙏
A beautiful plane... (like as his female pilot too) and a great job. Take good care of it, your 140 is a lil treasure. Thanks for showing your impressions and moments. Regards from the Baltic coast ...
Great video of an awesome flight. What no one has mentioned is the distance in the 140, 1700nm - that is some amazing distance to fly at 100kts. Top job.
I flew into Oshkosh a couple three years ago when everything was still being set up and have a picture on that exact taxiway/ramp 20:03. Obviously, nothing was even close to being busy yet, but just listening to tower and watching was somewhat stressful. Great job on the arrival! Although I'm almost Commercial rated, I still have quite a few hours to go before I attempt a flight into the REAL Oshkosh experience haha. My family and I have gone since I was just a kid (by vehicle). We've been there a total of 22 years. EAA AirVenture is one of the biggest reasons I got into aviation! Enjoy the two B-29's this year!
Love the little flight tracker overlay! Keep up the great work.
I'd like to second this!

I also thought it was a really unique touch.

curious what software used for the track overlay?
For a vintage aircraft, that 140 is stunning. It purrs like a kitten and the upgraded avionics make it perfect.
Definitely belongs right in front of a high-profile display :)
The dance those controllers do still amazes me. They really are the best.
I noticed that too. There's a lot to keep track of!
It an algorithm that been perfected over the years...since the Berlin Airlift in the 1940's.

Yeah but still there are crashes every single year. It's not really worth risk flying in there. Better to land on an airfield close by

I absolutely agree! I was going to say that myself.
Not a pilot, but I very much like your plane and the simplicity of your panel. Great "on air" personality. Over all excellent!
Wow, the hold pattern, and the how the controllers handle this is amazing. My last trip to Oshkosh was way back in 1981 and it hasn't changed much...
19:35 “Ooh, Stressful.” Yeah, no crap Stevie! I’m stressed out just watching you do it! The traffic flying into Oshkosh is just on another level.
Congratulations Stevie! A place of honor well deserved. OshKosh is on my bucket list, especially since I work for the OshKosh company.
Incredible flight to Oshkosh. Your Cessna 140A is a piece of art, an amazing combination of modernity and style. Have fun.
these excellent controllers must be absolutely exhausted at their shift change....thank you all for your awesome expertise to keep good pilots safe.
