As I'm from the UK I guess I like the fact your basically selling a UK made product, and I may get this dashcam, but I would say that NextBase can have glitches and problems they are not perfect , and I think there is room for improvement in this industry, basically I need a fast replacement from my older Nextbase cam the previous generation, which has issues. Battery is frequently a fault on Nextbase with regard to lifespan. Will let you know what I buy next ;) Alexa is a bit gimicky - NextBase should refine quality before adding any new features as their next move Imo.
Hi, will you please share what you set the exposure as when the sun is out? As well as what you have the Polarizing filter on during the sun vs the night?
Black vue for your safe driving
Great video just wondering if you ever hard wired the 522gw? Seems that the fuse kits aren't made for American cars unless you get an adapter. I purchased a Black vue 900s 2ch and had to send it back, because I just could not get it to connect to my phone. With that being said. I still have the hard wire, so just wondering if I could use that to for the 522gw. Very interested but not worth buying if I cant hard wire it.
I have not had a chance to hard wire it yet. I hope I dont run into difficulty when doing so. I just bought a fuse kit off amazon and was going to use that. Currently to 522 is just hooked up via the cigarette adapter. Please keep me updated on this as i will do the same once I get to hard wiring. Thanks for the comment!

Can the 522 do continous recording? I dont want a loop and sometimes use it for long drives
It does 1 minute videos and then loops. The bigger the memory card the more it records before it loops over the old footage. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions! Hope you’re staying safe !
hi great review. Does it allow you function without the need to plug into the cigarette lighter?
It holds a charge but I’m not sure for how long. Best bet is to hard wire the dash cam to your car.
They have a hardwire kit you can get for it!
Does this use a Super Capacitor? I heard it is better to use than battery type.
I love this dash cam, i mean the features, the look of it would be so perfect for me, but the video quality, well, omfg. Is it just me or it's really really really blurry and pixelated? :S Can you maybe check for me what MB/s it records the videos? Also night time footage is really really dark. :(
Hard wiring is quite simple if you buy the hard wire kit £20

Rock solid unless the windshield breaks. It’s also constructed of high quality materials so you won’t have to worry about it breaking.
Did you consider the 322? It seems to tick all of the boxes.
I did concider the 322 but for video purposes I just wanted to pick up the top model Dash cam from Next base and the low model 222. Any of the next base dashcams meet all expectation from build quality to proven video results. If you pick up a 322 im sure you wont be disapointed at all! Thanks for tuning into the channel Shawn!
How do you think it stacks up against the Garmin 66w?
Harrison Stevens both are amazing dash cams. The 66w is a bigger dash cam and I didn’t like the square design. The design of the next base are more to my liking. If you’re spending over $200 for a dash cam it’s hard to really pick a bad bad one it comes down to looks and personal preference. To me the nextbase line is my favorite. As for features it all depends on your needs. Hope this helps !
Parking mode...do you need to leave in plugged in, when car is off
You do not need to leave it plugged in the battery will give you a pretty good reserve for when the car is parked and if the camera gets shook it will wake up and record. There are many factors for how long the battery will last for. I know if you keep the camera plugged in it has a power off setting so it wont drain your whole car battery. I personally just unplug the camera when i park cause I dont want anyone to steal the camera.

I have same dashcam in uk with 6,5m cabled rear camera but i didnt connect rear one yet,i noticed the corners are darker then middle of the video but its really good camera,check my latest videos on my channel,great review,greetings from Scotland👍👍👍👍

Camera is temperamental as initial first charge didn’t work. Took 24hrs and still doesn’t hold charge. Switches on and off at random. Windows 10 app doesn’t work. Took two days to get the sos working. Loads of bugs. Must us a u3 DS card or the back camera won’t work. SD card 32gb is a waste of time.

The video is not very clear while driving, fussy, stationary it’s clear. Not sure about this one.

I got dizzy watching this video. I don't know why he could not buy a $5 tripod so viewing will be a lot pleasurable. Or better yet I'll send you a tripod if you can tell me where to send it.
I don't know if its your upload to youtude but the video quality sucks.
Its in 1080p so im not sure if its your settings or what happened. To me its pretty clear.
