What an utter waste of a good test opportunity.
I wanted them to be able to read number plates, most important thing.
Agreed a waste of time watching it
None as you didn't test it at night, how are we the consumer suppose to know what it looks like a night?
I was looking for the following info that your demo did not address: 1) The ability to read licence plates. 2) How long will it record. 3) Night time performance.
Your review is a waste and in my opinion give a negative impression on the items reviewed.
So as far as the first 4mins go, you’re just reviewing 3 methods of attaching something to a windscreen.
They've completely misunderstood the concept of dashcams. If you want a camera to record yourself doing stunts, just buy a GoPro, not a dashcam.
couldnt they just have mounted all 3 at the same time and posted the clips for us to make up our own minds???
I had the Nextbase and it was nothing but trouble.
That was a good car and a nice driving - that's what I could say about this review
Volvo have just told me I can’t have a screen mounted dashcam in my xc40 because the radar sensors behind the mirror may see it as an object in the road and trigger the brakes. There have been cases apparently. Affects ALL new Volvos with lane-keeping/distance monitoring! How many modern cars are there which may have this issue and how many people have fitted a dashcam without knowing this could be a problem?
Could you not mount it off to one side? Would change the view slightly but give the same results
@@Degga911 I mounted mine to the left of the miro so I could also see the cameras display for speed camera notifications and lane drift warnings etc, no issues at all.
Lower it, easy.
Orskey can mount to dash and windscreen
@@liksoonlono it isn’t that easy. Probably end up breaking the law.
Didnt expect this to be in my home town
Pointless 'test', I didn't conclude anything from it.
Well that was helpful 🙄
Has the gadget show moved online to UA-cam now ?
Not one of them even picked up the Driving licence number plates - What as waste of good rubber
Get the newer orskey S800 it’s value for money an just as good as the higher priced dashcams
I wondered why there were skid marks all over that car park! Thought it was just the chavs back at it again
next base has best quality but didn't really test them properly
Instead of doing a proper review of these dashcam ,all you did was do donuts in a car park. What a waste of time.
The producer of this show was either an ex top gear producer or a 10 year old child.
I assume Paul is the son of Russ Swift?
yes he is
Actually Paul is the son of Paul - Russ is the elder’s middle name.
8 mins wasted of my life. Nothing done proper test. Gone worst than Blind Date
What a load of bollocks!
After reading the comments, I won’t bother watching the video. They do it all the time and never cover the product in detail. The producers are out of touch.
This is why TV is dead and UA-cam has taken over
This review was so english my coffee turned into tea.
Your lucky my coffee turned into tears.
I have seen this camera (the orskey) for a bit now and wondered how this dashcam would be at night I mean it's literally built for nighttime driving with the massive ir lights on the front yet not one f*cking review on youtube has a night-time review! beyond useless these reviews if I wanted day driving cameras I could use my phone its the same quality (in fact better) and just as easy to set up (turn my phone mount around and click loop rec and I'm done) but I caught a crash on cam the other night and the pic was not good I mean it got the accident but didn't get it clearly (the guy still got done for hit and run by police but better night picture is what I need!)
I have one and it’s okay. It will do what you need it to.
Why not mount all three to the windscreen of a landrover and drive across a ploughed field at a fast speed?? You'll soon find out which dashcam holds firmest, And save time and money!!! Its not Rocket science 🤪🤔🇬🇧👍
I wish I could have seen the dislike counter so I didn't waste my time watching this
i'd just get the cheapest one. it does the job. no need for a HD, 60 fps camera just to record an accident.
Higher resolution gives you a better chance of catching the numberplates of people involved, and witnesses!
Footage may be ok with a cheaper DC but the software will let you down over time. And one day when you have great video evidence of some prat reversing into you the date will be wrong and it will be inadmissible .
I have garmin stuff that’s almost 9-10 years old and still working ...
nicely reviewed
What a pointless test!
What a pointless exercise
First one
Eh
Such stupid tests, ever think that maybe you should test if people can read a bloody *licence plate* from the footage?!
Hi. Golly geee. Rather.
What a bizarre video.
The Gadget Show is a poor shadow of its former self. It used to be objective and fun whereas now it's all for show without any practical use. Having a stunt driver test a dash cam is about as real world as strapping one to a rocket.
Just to let you know those buying a dash cam want good night vision, number plate reading and excellent crash recognition.
Waste of time, waste of space and utter bollox.
Top gear antics but useless review for the everyday user.
What an awful 'review'.. Was just entertainment yet wasn't even good at that!
This is why I don't watch the gadget show.
waste of time
What a stupid dash cam review
