🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦 These guys have so many hits in Canada. Probably three greatest hits albums worth. It’s a sin America never really got to experience them much
I'm from Louisiana and as an American who loves Corner Gas, where I first heard this song. It's a sin that this song or Corner Gas never hit in the states.
It’s about time someone got to Blue Rodeo! Give “Hasn’t Hit Me Yet” a listen. Thanks for your great reactions!
Love Blue Rodeo! part of the Canadian fabric just like the Tragically Hip!
Amen!! 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦
This group is pure Canadian gold. Thanks for giving them a shot.. If you grew up in Canada in the late 80s to 90s, chances are one of Blue Rodeo's songs hit you somehow. This song is part of the soundtrack to my life, mixed in with some hip hop and 80s alternative 🤣
Surprised to see someone doing Blue Rodeo. I don't recall any other reactors digging into them. If you want another song to try from them you can react to "5 Days in May." You'll get consistent quality from this band.
There is only 3 I have seen React to Blue Rodeo, FINALLY someone doing them! I've seen Hasn't Hit Me Yet twice before this one today, that's it :( I'd LOVE to see more!
I'm getting 2 of my kids into metal and Alt rock and we have a React channel... I NEED to expose my kids to Blue Rodeo, they are never here when I am playing them!
And Bulletproof!
Try!!😍
"Dark Angel", and "What is this love" are 2 of my favourite Blue Rodeo songs, among the many that I like, including "Bad Timing".
Thanks Chod. Im glad you liked the song. If you want to take a deeper dive into this great storytelling band, check out Try and Hasnt Hit Me Yet
Seem these guys 5 times live, AMAZING group! The Hip and Blue Rodeo are our two greatest hidden gems!
Try is one of my mushoms favourites (grandpa)
Blue Rodeo is one of Canada's greatest secrets.
Appreciate you giving Blue Rodeo some exposure. Extremely well known and popular in Canada over the past 30 years , along with the group The Tragically Hip. Two of my favourite groups of all time. Music from these two bands make up a significant part of the soundtrack of my life.
Blue Rodeo has so many great songs they are amazing! 5 days in May, Bulletproof, 'till I am Myself Again
This song hits home for me lyrically as the below lines hits on the Fort McMurry pipe line camps.
"Calling you up from a restaurant round the bend
Just got in from way up NorthI'm achin' and tired now and I could use a friend"
Thanks for playing this. Have seen Blue Rodeo more times than I can count. This is but one of several outstanding songs. I enjoy playing my guitar and singing this song. Other songs to check out are Five Days in May, Try, Lost Together, and Head Over Heels. I love singing One Light Left in Heaven accompanied by my guitar. Their first hit, way back when, was Rose-Coloured Glasses---the words are just awesome.
My favourite is Dark Angel. I do like the others that you mentioned
There is nothing better than when they come to our 300 seat theatre in Lindsay, Ontario and play. They live about 20 miles from us in Peterborough and will play the Academy once a year for kicks. Its an amazing treat. You feel like youre on the stage with them. If you ever get up this way, see if they are playing. The beers after are cool too because they come up for meet and greet. The room is about as big as my living room. Very cool. Great guys and tremendous talents.
My brother in law would love that you like the songs from Diamond Mine, Thats a blast from the past ! Cheers.
Till I am Myself Again and What am I Doing Here are great ones too
I saw them live back in '92, at Skydome. They were the opening act of a triple bill, followed by Gordon Lightfoot, then Simon and Garfunkel.
Lots of great songs. Great song writers.
I’ve heard this band name for years. Good to finally hear them. I liked this. Glad to hear that Chod will continue with them
just looked at their discography and it does not appear that they made any headway into the states. Guess it was just us Canadians that got to hear their stuff.
Their biggest US exposure was as Meryl Streep's backing band at the end of Postcards From the Edge.
Mmm I’m not so sure about that as I’ve heard the Blue Rodeo song “Five days in May” with a lot of radio play in Austin years ago.
SWEEEET Blue Rodeo!!! My favorite song by them and ANOTHER hidden Canadian gem!!!! I LOVE Cuddy's voice!
Just for fun, check out Alex Cuba doing this song in Spanish, with Jim Cuddy doing backup vocals--ua-cam.com/video/6Sv-NLalci8/v-deo.html. Alex is originally from Cuba, but married a Canadian and now lives in Smithers, BC.
“Til I Can Gain Control Again” is another fav of mine
Holy Shirt!!! You reacted to Blue Rodeo! Keep 'em coming 👍👍
Thank you SO much for reacting to my favorite Canadian band!!!.
Many true fans in Canada regard this group as almost royalty, so to speak.
Crystal clear vocalist.
Lots of good songs by Blue Rodeo to check out as have been listed by others.
Another great band to listen/react to would be the Cowboy Junkies, I suggest "Misguided Angel" or "Sweet Jane" then anything else off of the "Trinity Session" album.
One of my very fav BR songs! Canada's treasure!
Great to see Blue Rodeo, another great Canadian band. "Try" is another song by them. Please check out The Tragedy Hip, another Canadian band that is well known in Canada but never quite made it big in the States. New Orleans is Sinking, Grace Too, Wheat Kings to name a few. ✌🇨🇦
Tragically Hip.
You should check out the Tragically Hip, another Canadian band not well known in America
Man oh Man I can't believe it...your reacting to another Canadian Institution , they have so many great songs just like The Hip, it;s worth your whie=le digging into their catalogue.... React to : "try" or "Diamond Mine" both outstanding among many.
This is so awesome, someone reacting to Blue Rodeo. Thank you!!! Now I will suggest a couple other Canadian legends - Colin James (fantastic guitarist/singer) and Burton Cummings - you've done The Guess Who but check out some of his solo work. My Own Way to Rock (live with the Guess Who) showcases his amazing piano skills and vocals.
Blue Rodeo is too good
Took my wife to see them, she was hesitant because she knows my taste in music. She said this isn't heavy metal, I said no but you don't know what I listen to when I'm happy either. True story, love their music.
Blue Rodeo, Canada’s secret (which I don’t mind). One of many great Canadian artists that are amazing. Neil, Joni, Leonard, Burton, Lightfoot, Downie, Robbie, Coburn and so many more
I'm surprised to see Blue Rodeo on here. They're one of those bands that probably should have been more famous/known than they are. They had quite a few good songs. I think they were more popular in Canada than elsewhere.
Were? Bite your tongue. They are performing a livestream from the Danforth Music Hall on Friday June 11. I have my ticket. Do you have yours?
Wow Blue Rodeo! That's going off the board for an American. Must be a Canadian who made the request. I request that since you have checked them out, you play one of their good songs......they have many
Hey Paul, this Texan and some of the cooler Americans cherish and search endlessly for the unfindable song that might soothe our souls. lemme flip it , Steve Forbert “it isn’t gonna be that way”🎶Gurf Morlix “ One more second”.🎶
I hear you and feel you. You might try the Tragically Hip, another Canadian band not well known south of their border. They are awesome. Influenced by and sounding like some Stones, Black Crowes but real story tellers too like those great, mostly Canadian icons the Band.
@@paulprendergast3184 “When I paint my masterpiece “. favorite “The Band” song. “Showdown at Big Sky” by Robbie Robertson was memorable too.
Hey, Paul did you check out the Jim Cuddy solo concert this weekend? This American did with her Sweetie. My Sweetie has been enjoying Blue Rodeo since he was in high school - some years ago. I am so thrilled he introduced them to me when we first started dating eleven years; we've now seen Blue Rodeo live 7 times and the Jim Cuddy Band twice live. Many Americans definitely know about award-winning Canadian bands. ♡
Probably my favourite song of theirs...and the story of my life
subscribed because of this. super happy to see this.
Head Over Heels, Heart Like Mine, Sad Nights, Lost Together
Gotta mention. I love the sound of and upright piano...it is different from a grand. And on some tunes eminently better suited to the sound of an upright.
as a musician, you will love this
Eric Johnson - Cliffs Of Dover - LIVE
Yes, great suggestion! That or Eric’s “Trademark” live. “Lonely in the Night” too - unlike the others it has vocals but I still love it and it has some awesome guitar work as well.
Blue Rodeo along with Cowboy Junkies are Canadians who are in the alternative country category. US country radio oughta play more of them!
Jim Cuddy is the singer and main writer. He can wail!
Check out Try.
Jim has the better singing voice, but Greg writes the better (darker) songs.
I agree with both!
😎
House of Dreams by Blue Rodeo 🎼❤
So cool to see some waaay off the beaten path being reviewed. In Canada, this band was everywhere. If you wanna try another ditty of their's, even on yer own time, please do try their song, Outskirts.
-cheers
Hasn’t hit me yet, Trust Yourself, Till I am Myself again, How Long, Head over Heals and so many more
“Try” and “5 Days in May” by Blue Rodeo are great
This band is perfect for the end of the bar with a rye getting over heartbreak. Another Canadian band to check out is The Tea Party - Zeppelin meets Bowie the Blues and Persian classical music.
Until I gain control again - blue rodeo 😮
Don't forget Tommy Bolin "Post Toastee" studio version. Then "People, People"
One of my all time favourite bands! They have so many great songs. You should check out Falling Down Blue, it has an old big band, jazzy vibe.
We’re humans. Murphy’s law is on the attack always! Keep working hard and it always takes work.
After the Rain is my favorite!!
For your wife and you, check out "Lost Together" .
Love your reactions. Keep it up my friend. :)
Thank you so much 😁
Black Sabbath - Hand of Doom, Fairies Wear Boots, Into the Void....
Love how you dance to this song like I do. Lol 🇨🇦✌️
The Tragically Hip - Long Time Running
5 days in may
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦Finally someone has reacted to Blue Rodeo !
Please watch hasn't hit me yet ;,for your northern fans!😷😷😷🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
This and "House of Dreams".
This is the first time I've heard them. Great suggestion. Are they a country band?
Country flavoured, at any rate
I call them a folk/rock/country/blues band. Genre benders and blenders.
They’ve got lots of great tunes…dive in!!
For more Blue Rodeo, check out Hasn't Hit Me Yet or Try.
Pure Canadiana...
... and 5Days in May ;)
please react to rose coloured glasses one of their first hit
Blue Rodeo keep it real. Makes this Old Fart Canadian a bit Ferclempt.
Hey Chod, this might be BAD TIMING (lol). But I have been requesting Joe Bonamassa, I'LL PLAY THE BLUES FOR YOU, for some time now, I feel like a pest but not only is it not good but you get to see Reese, from STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN group Double Trouble. Your the best. PEACE HIPPIE JOE
That reaction will be releasing today my friend!
@@WILBURNREACTIONS God bless you Chod, I have had such a rough few days and nights. I already watch the Tedeschi Trucks band over and over. Your the real deal and I'm old enough to be your father, he raised a good man .
By the way both of these bands are touring and they are very respected artists with much much more to offer.
Again thank you and God bless. HIPPIE JOE
C’mon, tell the truth... wouldn’t you like to hear Chris Stapleton sing this song?
Checkout Bob Seger
