Your fast and dirty work is better than 90% of the work out there. 🍻cheers.
You always make difficult jobs look easy. A testament to your skills.
My dear Kyle, I am sure that you can't mean the self-depreciating comments that you make about yourself. You must know that you are very good. You do more, with less equipment, than the majority.
Now know this! You, and your videos are very appreciated! Thank you!
Thanks, very kind of you to say, but I am definitely a hack!
Can't go wrong with cat content ... again you make it look so easy ... it never gets old for me ... for you maybe ... that's the life of a famous youtuber ...
Cats, Fire and Non Anger Management--this show has it all!😆
Now if only it had production quality and entertainment value!
Mr.. Carter... been a while since I added my two cents here.... Just wanted to say no mater how you down play your abilities. You are talented. Hey I'm willing to bet there's a lot out there who would love to have you talents.....Stay cool...
Thank you Pierre!
For a welded up pile of garbage it seems to coming right along. Great stuff !!!!
Thanks Paul!
I am pretty sure that we have all "glorped in" a patch! Nice to see that Louisiana lap weld gone. God bless.
Glorping is an approved repair method by most vehicle manufacturers!
I'm glad to see you are branching out with the fire. Expanding your repertoire is critical to grow as an artist.
I'm glad you agree! Haha
Kyle. 🤫“it’s 9pm so not going to fire up the grinder” are you trying for neighbour of the year award again😇. 👍🏴
Too bad my award keeps getting lost in the mail!
You definitely have mad skills. Enjoy your content immensely.
You are amazing Kyle keep the videos coming. God bless
Thank you, I'll try!
Man it looks like anybody can do it...but, they can't. Almost anybody, maybe. Very few Yes. Nice work.
Thanks!
I like vegging out in front of your videos when I'm just about to hit the sack. It helps me sleep easier because it helps me think that if you can straighten out the worst conditions of the scrap metal you call a vehicle, then my own problems can be resolved too, perhaps. I should think more about facing confrontations with an acetylene torch or mig welder in the future.
For someone who claims he doesn't care, you sure put in a lot of effort. 😅
I'm really enjoying these videos, great channel you have here.
Love them cats. I have six of them myself. They're a lot smarter than most people would know. Cats are "good people".
Dont skip the details on the next one😊 love the videos👍👍
The worst thing about your videos is that they make me feel like I could do that! Magnificent, as always. Thank you
You can do it!
@@CarterAutoRestyling Don't say stuff like that, you're going to get me into trouble!!! I already have it in my mind that I could do some rust repairs on my Packard. 😬 Watching Scott and the Agents already encouraged my to tear my engine apart, rings, valves, lifters, etc. etc. You guys are trouble makers!!!
Always a treat when I see your notification pop up! Thanks as always.
Glad to hear it!
Can't wait for the beard drill grooming episode. That should be epic.
I wouldn't have thought it was possible that something could be more exciting than fender repairs, but wow, firewall repairs are amazing!!! 🤩
Wow that's really sayin something!
@@CarterAutoRestyling I was on the edge of my seat the entire time!!!
Love that you take the time to teach us newbies and wannabes.....
Every time you call your work complete garbage that small quiet voice inside me says I wish my work was as good as Kyle’s garbage!!
This passenger side was a good example to watch and see what should be done first when so much is rotted away. Thank you!!
Thanks Brad!
Kyle making the rust history! Keep on truckin'!👍
Will do!!
Body Man Extroandair and a COOL CAT. Your work blows me away
Thank you!
I'll watch the driver-side repair. it's hypnotic.
Good. I'm filming every painful detail of it!
Thank you, sir
Great tutorial on rust repair. I will be putting what I learned here to good use on my 1965 C30. Thank you from a fellow Saskatchewanian!
Right on! I hope your C30 has less rust than this truck!
Nice work Kyle!!
For edge tippin I suggest , One Toke Over the Line by Brewer & Shipley .
Very fitting indeed!
I can't explain the weird feeling of satisfaction I get from watching someone do something I will never do. My therapist and I will explore it in the future. Any-who.....Great video but a little low on drama since the hostilities are over with the elderly man in Iowa. Cheers
Ya but elderly people can flare up at any time and so can hair stylists.
That gives me hope that more Shednanigans will ensue.
It's always boiling below the surface Joe..@@Joe.Doucette
My sessions with that therapist were a total success. Glad you decided to follow my referral. Now that the hostilities have ended you'll have a lot more time for therapy.
😁@@CarterAutoRestyling
So much firewall🥰
6:35 If it's crazy and it works, it ain't crazy.
That's what they tell me! Haha
Great job Carter .
For not trying to make it look amazing you still are doing an amazing job. It looks great.
I like the way you make the repairs that you say you don't care about look very respectable. You may not be a perfectionist, but you have an affliction that will not allow you to do a shoddy job. Best wishes.
Oh I'm definitely capable of doing a bad job. Having all you folks watching motivates me to do a slightly better job than I normally would, so thanks for watching!
That is a sweet firewall repair for not caring. That is going to be a great truck.
Quite a hole. Good luck. Thanks
I'm not too keen on rust, but I like seeing it replaced.
I'd prefer to leave the rust alone, but most people seem to want it gone! Haha
Beautiful work Kyle, pls keep at it!
The way you used the slotted pin to bend that 90 degree edge flange around the curve- I learned something. Can’t wait to make that tool and try it!
Kyle has done it with an adjustable wrench too, 😊JR
I've used plain flat stock to make that type of tool. Make multiples and cut the notches different depths for different width flanges. That way you don't have to be so careful about holding away from the edge to get a consistent flange width.
It's definitely in handy on more than 1 occasion!
Kyle,
Your idea of making something do for you, is my idea of someone who enjoys a good challenge. Fantastic job!
Thanks!
Great job stylist.
I am stunned how well and how efficiently you made this quite complicated patchpanel.
I thought, you would make it in two parts, but you made it in one piece! You are really very skilled. I could never have done it that well. Even with a lot of fancy equipment.
It may be faster and easier to do some jobs with fancy equipment but it's also faster and easier to screw things up!
Thank you! I just got lucky, the other side will probably be a disaster haha
Your willingness to undertake such projects never ceases to amaze me, as does your incredible talent
Awesome!!! 🔧🔩🔧🔩🔧🔩❤🔩🔧🔩🔧🔩
Wow! I thought the repair was finished when you put all those screws in, but you kept fixin' even more!!
It was tempting to call it finished at that stage!
Love the intro music matched to the task at hand.
Haha thanks!
Great job
Thanks!
“Glorping” in a flange … Fitzee would be proud.
Haha! He would probably cringe at my hackery
Keep up Kyle's Learning Channel. Sharing your metal working skills is greatly appreciated by a 67 year old gearhead.
To heck with the next guy! 😂
A good motto to live by! Haha
Another informative and useful video. Love those cats . Thanks Kyle....
Glad you like them!
holy truck batman - are you the rust crusader more powerful than a weld a matic , able to replace panels with a single shwing . . . . great craftsmanship , thank you
Nice! Only one side left!!
I'm watching the Mecum auction in Dallas on TV at the same time as I'm watching this video. I wonder how many of those cars being sold there started out looking like this truck. If only the buyers who spent major $$ knew what their purchase looked like underneath the bodywork and paint....
Haha I'm sure there are more than a few that were tarted up for auction!
Wow. I haven't heard the old edge tipping song in a long time. Thanks for the memories.
A welded up pile of garbage? Weren't all vehicles welded up piles from the factory?
This is looking very strong and well done.
Thanks Joe! I'd like to think most vehicles rolling out of the factory were less-garbage than anything I've created. Plus they came with a warranty!
I started working on cars and painting them in the early '70s.
As far as the bodywork is concerned... your work beats a lot of the cars I've worked on.
I haven't seen you lather on the seem sealer like they used to instead of making panels fit properly. Plus you don't leave exposed metal everywhere.
Carry on. One day the feline overlords will reward your efforts when their mothership returns.
Luv the cool warbling intro theme -- adds intrigue! In contrast, I feel that some sort of character flaw is the reason that Hans Zimmer never wrote an edge tipping theme song. There are still some holes in the fabric of all of the theme songs available for application to cinematic background music. It is clear that the work force must be doing something right here, because Management is obviously still happy. I like the ole technique of starting out with self-tapping sheet metal screws for fitment and holding in place, and then morphing them into plug welds later. I even learned a trick or two in watching the center floor patch at the end. All in all, a good episode.
CARTER YOU ARE A COACH BUILDER AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED AND IN THE CAR INDUSTRY I THINK THAT WOUID BE THE HIGHEST HONOR .
As an ex working on cars guy who does renovations. That hit home. Error mitigation is what I’m paid for. Not perfect. I do tile drywall and woodworking. Good safe and code met? Ok unless you are paying for perfect I don’t care. You do “I’d work on it “ from a professional level standpoint. My mechanic would be extremely happy if your patches showed up. I drywalled his sunroom. The fact you are interesting is a bonus.
Little bit of rust don’t scare Kyle!
always enjoy watching someone who knows what hes doing,
keep up the great work
Thanks, although I don't really know what I'm doing!
Meowest...excellent as expected
You have great fabrication skills. 😊
Thank you!
Excellent work once again. I could watch this type of video for hours! Such practical examples for the ordinary guy to learn from.
Even the most hack job you do, by your own admission, is good enough that you are not filling it in with old coat hangers. For that alone I will continue to watch your channel.
Thanks Chris. Unfortunately I'm running low on steel coat hangers. Need to save them for something special! Haha
This patch work is "IN- SANE".. ha! Nice work indeed.
Thanks Kyle. I am finally getting the hang of my welder after watching you and fitzee. I put a patch in a floor pan, that I’ve been messing with for nearly a year, the same way and it looked exactly the same so I am happy with that.
That is awesome!
Kyle, you do an excellent job with the tools you have. I enjoy your videos. Most people couldn't even think of taking a truck in such a condition as these let alone make them lot like new again. I salute you my friend.
you are doing a beautiful job on the truck
Thanks!
The flashy thing leaving bubbles that don't pop until you rub on them with the fire starter makes my eyes look up at the ceiling and gramma says they roll up behind the eyebrows and I start shaking and drooling and muttering funny words is awesome! What a ride! I'll be back for another fun lap. Gotta change my bib now.
Thanks for sharing your work Kyle. I think Aaron Tippin's song : 'Working Man's Ph.D' seems appropriate. If you're not opposed to Country music. You Tube has his music vids. 👍
That is definitely an ambitious repair. Glad to see you tackle it though and not just find another cab like most would do.
It was definitely tempting to find a better cab
I'm going to go back and watch it again with a slower Internet connection!! Can you do the zap zap welding to create a tune? I think I heard Maynard Ferguson for a moment there. 😁
I'll give it a try!
Well Kyle you really outdid yourself on this POS but it actually looks like you may have made it savable. Maybe I am going out on a limb on saying this but it looks good enough to me too. Love your cats I have a cat and a dog my cat is 17 years old and not very playful anymore. Love seeing yours playing and having fun.
Thanks Larry. All the best to you and your cat and dog!
Less rust is best rust and yay for road spray staying Outside that cab is coming along nicely
I just love rust hope you find more.
Haha I hope not!
In the very last scene after the credits…is that a neck tie on the floor? How in Hades did that get there? What’s next…wearing a tux while stretching some metal? You’re deep man.
Yes it is. The cats enjoy playing with it
Kyle, just a great repair.
Great content as usual! Another couple hundred pounds of wire and you'll have this truck fixed. The combination of hair and rust repair is super awesome! Cheers! 😎👍🛻🏁🏁
Haha thanks I'm glad you enjoy the hair styling too!
Nice!!!
I see so many people on here that don't do worth a flip taking wire wheels to take off rust witch is a good way of getting rust off but ...then spraying primer over the rust that's left over and not doing metal work worth a flip ... but the way u are doing it I can very much appreciate
Amazing work
Truly enjoy your talent and sense of humor thanks for the instructions you make it look too easy
I have my popcorn. Let the drama commence.
Masterful bodywork, check. Cats, check. Hairstyling, check. Drama, check.
Needs more cowbell.
More cowbell coming soon!
Amazing work man..Good job.nice hair.
Making a super nice truck there Kyle If I had your skills I would Brag about how nice this truck is coming along. If you do not brag on this build us UA-camr sure will BRAG for you Great video nice content and information and all that other stuff that youbube asked us to rate.
Thanks Gary!
Thanks
Thanks so much!
Great Job on repairing rust love your videos
You made that look easy. I can make anything go, turn and stop, but cutting out and replacing rust is a whole 'nother ballgame.
"Why do shops charge $100 per hour?" This is why.. Great job, especially on figuring out how to close a gap that will never be seen. I appreciate the efforts 👌 Thank you for showing the work it all takes to saveva field truck!
Great job Kyle and very informative to watch - I sincerely hope that the YT monetization and your patreon supporters is enough to help you earn more than minimum wage per hour. Still think with your talent you should be working on the cars that bring big money to make it worth your time.
Oh I make way less than minimum wage from this youtube thing!
That's going to be a nice solid truck again.
Just needs some turquoise paint.
You're very talented, especially given what you have to work with... 👍
Thanks, although it would be tough to make this stuff much worse than it already is!
Nicely done, Kyle!!
Thanks!
Hi Kyle. Outstanding job has always. Many thanks to you and The Cat's ,for an enjoyable video. As always I liked and shared. All my very best.
Thanks Bobby, I appreciate you taking the time to watch this stuff!
You do awesome work !!!
Thank you!
Thanks!
Hey thanks so much!
You definitely are a typical crazy Carter dude 😎
Thanks for another , Brother !!
My favorite guy next to Jimi Hendrix.Seriously bub,I love watching you work.
Wow thanks!
