    Yea.... about that mob... you owe me for the catering and port-o-pottys. On a completely unrelated note... Last week I had my first experience with a modern mig welder and thanks to your videos it all went very well, for a beginner. I followed your teachings by first tossing every tool I own on the floor and mixing them toughly with the garbage. I had my doubts but I got excellent results. Cheers from the Shed

    'I need it to get to work tomorrow' -- woo hoo! You are one of these guys like me whose morning commute is seven steps. I like the waltz music in the beginning during sped-up fitting and welding -- it makes a nice journey for us viewers. I also like the polka-type music later -- even that works in a similar manner, albeit it is more frenetic, like the sped-up welding. The plug weld tutorial was good. Nuances matter with sheet metal. As I recall, on your MIG, you use the small wire, like 023 or 025? I DEFINITELY want to learn that Harry Potter incantation that presto-changeo installs the door. That is WAY cool! Things are coming along nicely.

    • @CarterAutoRestyling

    • @DNomer
      @DNomer Рік тому +2

      Yeah, that is one of the things that I learned from you -- when welding sheet metal, use the thin wire! I normally weld with .o35, and it is far from optimum when welding the thin stuff. I now also have an .025 drive wheel and some .025 wire, so I am learning.@@CarterAutoRestyling

      I don't think I have any more fender fixes on this one, but there will be on the next project!

    Do you take it as a lack of respect if I address you by your first name or do you prefer a Mr. Carter? For me its comfortable to say "Kyle" as I would a friend, and in fact would consider it a honor to be your friend. I am a seventy four year old man who is crippled now but before all of that happened, I enjoyed fixing vehicles to either just run right or weld up any issues that were involved. Most of my welding on rigs were my own so easier to please a customer.. so speaking as I am a fair harder on me than anyone working for me in a shop. Okay, thats that, lets get on with my observations. One is your editing.... meaning you have chosen some really nice music for this channel and I do enjoy it a lot. I know how hard it is to watch paint dry and so when you do the time lapses, their really done well in a way that doesn't take away from the method used or simple put, still a bit of a tutorial. Of course slow and steady for a newcomer to see just what takes place. I believe the people who do watch to learn, have already a basic skill set of how to adjust or turn on the tools used. I am no where near your level but would of been for sure as its something that I did do on heavy equipment for thirty years. I needed to do stuff like this on the family grocery getters or hobby time of a old possibly nice to drive rigs... or just flip for a dime or seventeen... rich beyond a dream/LOL. Not too many go to that level for sure. I now have bored you to tears with my prater of lingo not commonly used by people unless they are a good fifty plus years of age. You shall gain a lot of notoriety over the coming years because of this talent and the many who enjoy doing it. Just go to any car show and see how many different kinds of automobiles are being saved. I am going to keep the promise and shall comment on more of these fine videos as they come out. I like the old chevys like other folks so do. Until then Kyle, have a wonderful many days ahead

    Great work and video young man. I agree with you on the bondo boys. I call it dog shit, because when I repair cars that need welding to pass a ministry safety test here in the UK, bondo/dog shit/filler is a pain in the backside!
    If you care to get the fit up good, you don't need much filler if any.
    Keep up the good work young man and all the best for 2024!

    Tractor Gnome is the real enemy? Say it isn't so, Kyle! Hmmm...he does look pretty sketchy when I think about it.

    I'm not surprised that the so-called professional body guy let you down: he's a charlatan and I was warned about him by the expert with the channel called Shed by the Tracks. Apparently he bought a radiator from the rogue and it was garbage, but they managed to reach an agreement. I think that it involved the so-called professional having to have his hair shaved off. Best wishes.
