    Good Morning Jim,
Having used Windows since its inception in 1995, about 2 years ago I attempted to switch over to and purchased a small but powerful Mac-pro laptop just to use for photo editing. I struggled greatly trying to learn all of the finger movements necessary to communicate successfully and ultimately gave up on that Mac which I returned to BestBuy. I have been using an iPad Pro for years though and about two years ago purchased the iPad version of Pixelmator Pro and have been using it with great results since. It is very similar to the Mac Version that you are utilizing in this tutorial in many ways. It along with Polarr Pro are my two favorite go to Applications when doing P/P on the iPad. Unlike Adobe's P/S is very user friendly and straight forward to navigate and I would recommend it to anyone who uses an iPad to post process.
I have to say though that after watching this tutorial, I will carefully consider once again investing in a Mac but in desktop rather than laptop.
As always Thank you for this First Impression Video, and the Best of Luck and Health to you and yours in 2021.

I have used Pixelmator and Pixelmator Pro since 2015 (Pro came about 2017 or so). It has one of THE BEST repair tools of all of them; the clone stamp is quite good too. It has layers but you have to get used to the tool layout compared to others. BTW I am a beta test for Pixelmator Pro and I am quite sure they let you do that too should you want to. PPro is very underrated IMHO, so if you do a series you will be one of the few who do!

Very unlikely that there will be a Windows version as it is very much a Mac application. Written in Apple's Swift language and making use of MacOS standard libraries for things like graphics, user interface, RAW conversion and Machine Learning (artificial intelligence), so I guess it would need to be completely rewritten to create a Windows version. The advantage of using the Apple software in this way is that most of the issues related to migrating to the new M1 architecture have been deal with by Apple and the libraries are written to take full advantage of the new chip. The latest version of Pixelmator Pro can already run native on M1 systems and already reports suggest that performance is very good. Pixelmator includes an image upsizing facility, Pixelmator ran some performance tests when it was released last year. The best performance came from the top-end iMac Pro. They recently repeated the tests on a new basic M1 MacBook Air, and it just beat the iMac Pro performance!
