Ngl, I was planning on running Sorc for the Mana or Spellblade (because that's a class that I've never played but am actually interested in, have the whole Jedi thing going) but the idea of having boulders falling everywhere just seems appealing. However, switching to Spriggan seems clunky since other than proccing mana, it doesn't seem to really fill a niche in the main gameplay loop. I just wish that there was some alternative way to bring your mana back to full without that.

How to you get an active totem with this build to get the 45 % dmg from grounding (in the Avalanche tree)? Am I missing something?

Looks really interesting, might give it a try - have never played Primalist so I aim to start the new cycle with it :) What is the rotation going to be here, I see Gathering Storm not being on the skill bar... how does it get cast / work together with Maelstrom and Avalanche then?
Gathering storm is the root of the storm bolt mechanic, so he just has it specced to buff up the storm bolts that avalanche is spawning so you wont be casting gathering storm and dont need it on the skill bar👌

I think its hard to justify as the added damage effect does not apply to the frostbites, so in theory it could work but it def feels like a waste.

There is one small problem concerning the storm stacks.
The range of the storm bolts is very small from storm stacks, so you would have to be almost in melee range.
Even more so when you take the Concentrated storm node decreasing your target area.
The only way to increase the target area is with the Clouds on the horizon node but its not enough imo, the area for area skills affix has no effect.
I made a post about this on the forums so hopefully EHG will do something about this soon.
there is area of effect node on shaman tree. it is one 3 final nodes. the node is called conflux but it is only 24% area of effect increase. it also gives 8% DR when fighting shocked enemy.
@@dodang_9147 its the same as the area of effect affix that you can get on items, and does not work on the range of storm bolts from storm stacks.
@@jordaoichigo after trying avalanche, it feels like skill got nerfed over buffed. One of key points old avalanche was that avalanche used to follow the player. This allowed the skill to be used with melee skills like gathering of the storm, swipe and tempest strike. Now it is just generic spender nuke which isn't worth using over tornado. you can build critical rate+attunement with channeling to proc earthquake while abusing the mana tech with spaggan form or you can use it like tornado and build frostbite chance and minion damage as status effect build-up build. The boulders fall so slowly that it doesn't feel good to use.
Gathering of storm node and Maelstorm gimmick is kinda useless without ability to follow and the rate at which avalanche meteor's fall is pathetic at base-kit. it is simply not worth using.

no its kinda garbo NGL, there might be some niche uses but I am not impressed. If it was every boulder I could see it, but only large boulders ruins its usability for me.
Do you only spawn totems with the idol for the final build? Seems a bit tricky to swap over at launch then, maybe continue running storm totem until you find an idol with that line
technically warcry can be turned into totem. so it still works even without idol. Idol just increases consistency to keep your totem up.

Why everywhere you use phys dmg, but for warcry u go for cold conversation ?
the cold damage node on the left says *crit chance for you and your cold minions* so you get the crit chance generically
Why take the totem passives while not having any totems in the final skill build?
It looks interesting but would prefer not to have to shapeshift... could you swap out spriggan for something else?
I would suggest not playing this then because you would constantly be out of mana

By chance does anyone have an update for this build? I'm finding at lvl 55 [ with peak of mountain] the build isnt working...squishy like a over-ripe pear. Not enough damage....

It looks cool but I think mana will be a significant problem. Maybe with 1000+ mana you could make it work but 28/sec channel + 90% of EQ which is like 30 I think idk that will oom you very fast
@@Shayde27 naturally occurring gives 45% mana efficiency and your right next to winter build up for -8 flat mana with a lot of attunement it could be manageable , temple staff with both mana hybrid mods could also be used if its tight
