I want to make new char, but repeating all the progress from campaign through normal monolits to empowered ones and then hitting corruption is just too much to bother. When I have certain level of gear but I'm bored with current char I don't want to replay all the content where I get inferior drops just to get to the same point as main char. I hope they will fix it sometime. Cheers :)

Could you please comment on difficulty? I absolutely love POE ruthless hardcore solo self found. I want to love LE but it seems there is near zero challenge until you get way way way deep into monoliths. The main question I would like answered have they done ANYTHING for people that prefer additional challenge (besides the band-aid fix of wearing those boots)?
Interesting how much of this I really disagree with. 1. I did not have problem with "no endgame" in LE. I was very happy playing monos up to 300-350 (I know it is considered low by many), playing with a dozen different builds. I was very happy that in LE I did not feel the need of a multiple mirror POE build's equivalent. 2. Evade I am ok with. Especially happy that it does not give s. If it gave s, then probably fights would be designed around having to dodge boss abilities (think souls games). I hate that shit (despite loving Elden Ring, but there I play with Blasphemous Blade or use some strategy/cheese to avoid having to use it most of the time), glad it is not in LE yet. 3. I hate POE's corruption. Imo the crafting (and the games in general) need(s) less RNG, not more. On this note, also no "chase" items please. 4. I don't care about the balance of the item factions, however, I hate that there were (are) exploits and nothing really was done to revert them. I would love to play MG, but not with the fucked up economy, so I am kind of forced to play SAF. I had some slim hopes for LE at launch, but they managed to fuck the economy up not only for legacy, but for 1.1 as well it seems. The nicest of part of MG would have been to accumulate resources (gold/favor) with normal gameplay for legacy, spend it as needed, not having to start again and again. Alas, it seems this is gone forever in LE too. This is a big grief (for me at least). 5. I like that LE does not want all my time. However, I hate the "hype". I would prefer to do legacy (or standard in POE), if the fresh content was available there and the economy was healthy. And play whenever I feel like it, not when there is "hype". I f'ing hate that POE and LE (and possibly Diablo 4 too, I stopped that early S1, never to go back) heavily incentivize me to play the cycle/league/season shit. I don't want to spend dozens of hours to bring my build online again, playing with subpar gear, only to tire out and get bored by the time I have decent items (or sometimes well before that), just to be made unavailable when the next patch drops. I hate that " arpg games are cyclical". I could determine the cycles for myself, I don't need artificial constraints provided by the game developers/publishers. 6. I don't mind subscription fee, however, I don't want dailies, weeklies, lockouts, timers and shit like that. I can manage my time, my playtime, I can pace my gameplay, I don't need games to do that for me. 7. Better cosmetics is never bad. I myself don't care about them much, but if it helps financing the game, and make it better, I am all for it. I don't mind supporting the game, even with subscription fee, but if that model works better, sure do whatever is best for you...
Last Epoch is a great game but there few things that killed this game Number 1 Discord admins kicking people out for asking a question or making a suggestion. most of them people are your raid group leaders that are just giving feed back from there group members kicking them out of discord for just asking and question or making a suggestion is going to get them to quit the game and then all there group members also follow them. Number 2 no clan or group Solo play is great but when you need help or have a question it sucks to leave the game to ask your group out of game. Number 3 did I mention their absolutely horrible Discord Admins kicking people out for no reason.
Not all games need mechanics that hide the gambling addiction that many of their players have. No, LE does not need vall orbs, it already has other mechanics that border on gambling attitudes. We say that loot boxes are bad, that gacha games are predatory, and it all goes back to a moment, a burst of pleasure after hours of playing, which in many cases can become tedious, especially when in an arpg, you are forced to play a class that you don't entirely like, or play a meta build because otherwise you waste time. Let's stop boasting about gambling mechanics, let's put an end to that copium. It's fine for those who like that, but let's accept the truth as it is and not shove down new players' throats that THIS is the way, THIS is the last challenge and if you don't corrupt your items, then you're missing out on something "exciting." And saying "the best end-game items are corrupted" is validating a harmful practice on the part of developers, who reward risk and not playing skill, time spent or new strategies: corrupting the item with the possibility of have something amazing that you wouldn't get any other way, or destroy/ruin it in the process. I agree about there needing to be more cosmetics, but what they really need is a more efficient transmogging system, like D4. Why can I only apply store-bought mogs to my character, but not the 4 or 5 different sets I've accumulated while leveling? Like you said, a lot of them look way better than the store mogs anyway. This is 2024. We left behind the "got dressed in the dark" look long, long ago. Also we need more "fun" drops. Cloaks and pets would be a nice start.
just a side note, have to hard disagree with the ssf faction being stronger than trade. Maybe for HC because no one plays HC but for SC you can get waaaaaaay better gear much more reliably and it makes gearing up alts super quick. Especially with 3/4 legendary potential items, that shit is mega rare but you can buy a usable 4 legendary potential unique item, slam a good rare into it and you've got an item that's better than any rare can be. I think I enjoy SSF a bit more as you can just play and not mess around with bad trade interfaces and be appropriately rewarded. But trade is valid
Agree that LE’s mtx is quite ugly for the most part. Bought a supporter pack but haven’t spend more than a few points so far, because I can’t find aything in the store I like. I think this could become a problem for EHG.
If I get Starforge PC and it has problems and can't play all the newest games perfectly in HD with no framerate drop, I'm personally blaming you, Ziz! You will have to come to my house and fix my computer in person. I will have pizza...
I tried Last Epoch, Jumped in on the hype when it launched. I could not get past the campaign. It was so confusing to traverse the campaign. Of course I am a casual but I bounced off hard. IDK.
Yeah, I feel like the more stuff there is to do, the more fun a season is, the more length a season will have for you. Diablo seasons were like 2 weeks long and you wouldn't wanna touch the game for the rest of the season, which is a bad thing imo. I want LE seasons to have more life to them.
As a long term MMO guy that casually plays this genre I’m getting to the point that I refuse to play pay to win or daily games at all this culture needs to change now
I've been wanting to say thank you for a long time, because most of your views on arpg make a lot of sense to me! And I end up agreeing with what you represent on your videos very often. Thank you very much
Totally agree on dailies and sub fee, like, i like WoW ( ik, ik DocLeave) and i would play it a lot more, but im not, reason is dalies and mostly sub fee, when i pay sub i feel like im obligated to play game because i paid sub. Yes, yes, i know, what people will say now "its only XX" maybe its only XX but this do not change anything about that i say above. Im also very sad about 4 mo cycle in PoE, i know its because of work on PoE2 but also because of this i feel a bit like they already abandoned PoE1 a bit, but thats my personal feeling not a fact. Anyhow another great video Ziz
PoE1 has been getting more content and more wild expansions than it ever has before. Its not abandoned whatsoever. The league mechanics every league are absolutely massive and game changing and we are still getting 10+ new skill gems and lots of reworked uniques/skill gems etc every league. It just takes them longer to get there because PoE2 is very close But the trade off is in future we play PoE2 for 1 month, last epoch 1 month, PoE1 for 1 month, and repeat. 3 games all with hopefulyl insync cycles so there is always an arpg to play
thats crazy people play arpgs longer than 2 weeks? i usually only last 1-2 weeks in an arpg season before my adhd kicks in and tells me to play something else.
Enjoyed playing the game, was thoroughly bored of my mind when I started doing the monoliths. I don't know what's wrong about them but despite liking the fact that you can choose what kind of reward you want in order to progress, I just wasn't enjoying myself with the way the progression worked.
Not enough variety in map objectives and side content to keep them interesting long term (Perry described it as "just by looking at the name, reward and modifiers, you can tell with high certainty exactly how it will play it", and that lines up with my experience), combined with not enough large mob packs to make the dopamine receptors go off even through the monotony by blowing through hordes of mobs. The former should get better with time, the latter will hopefully get better if/when EHG turns up mob density.
Fomo is exactly why I had to quit wow and destiny. They just kept throwing dailies and weeklies. Then time gated events. Then time limited events. Then deleting content from the game so you have to play it because you bought it. It's so freeing jumping game to game now. I highly recommend GW2 as an MMO because if you own the content you can literally play it whenever you want

If I get Starforge PC and it has problems and can't play all the newest games perfectly in HD with no framerate drop, I'm personally blaming you, Ziz! You will have to come to my house and fix my computer in person. I will have pizza...
Give yourself an edge

I tried Last Epoch, Jumped in on the hype when it launched. I could not get past the campaign. It was so confusing to traverse the campaign. Of course I am a casual but I bounced off hard. IDK.
....I like Ziz, but did he even read the forum post? Seems like a really general video with some basic misinformation
Picked up Last Epoch since it was on sale and I'm only lvl 8 but it's more fun than Lost Ark with its ahioit7 bloat
Circle of fortune was fun for me due to alts and whatnot. I was just able to just purchase gear and craft on it and if I messed up no problem.
5 months is FAR too long of a season.
Yeah, I feel like the more stuff there is to do, the more fun a season is, the more length a season will have for you. Diablo seasons were like 2 weeks long and you wouldn't wanna touch the game for the rest of the season, which is a bad thing imo. I want LE seasons to have more life to them.
I got a new pc from a popular pc builder. I wish i would have gotten a starforge just for the cawk hammer logo.
PLEAAAASE WE NEED 40 CHALLENGES REWARDSSSS ITS THE ONLY REASON I PLAY TO COLLECT RARE SEASONAL COSMATICS SKINS FOOOOR FAAAAK SAAAAKE!!
As a long term MMO guy that casually plays this genre I’m getting to the point that I refuse to play pay to win or daily games at all this culture needs to change now
WOLCEN Had an EVADE
I will be forever thankfull to PoE for it made me apreciate LE progress so much
“Hi, scissors in here”
The cosmetics are super ugly, they NEED to hire a new designer.
memeing in the ad lmao
looks boring
I've been wanting to say thank you for a long time, because most of your views on arpg make a lot of sense to me! And I end up agreeing with what you represent on your videos very often. Thank you very much
I just wanna see better filters in trade faction, its state was just pure embarrassment.
do you earn cosmetics from challenges in last epochs 1.1 league?
It just takes them longer to get there because PoE2 is very close
But the trade off is in future we play PoE2 for 1 month, last epoch 1 month, PoE1 for 1 month, and repeat. 3 games all with hopefulyl insync cycles so there is always an arpg to play
Performance still shit, so im not playing, dead game for me.
Performance is fine for like 99% of players. That's a you issue my man, upgade your graphics card drivers
@@MyNameIsSalo More like 50%. Last Epoch looks and runs worse than D4. + Loading Screen issues, crashes etc.
Will there be crafting done by playing battleship?
thats crazy people play arpgs longer than 2 weeks? i usually only last 1-2 weeks in an arpg season before my adhd kicks in and tells me to play something else.
based off steam charts, it's more like 2 days
What's wrong with purple?!
Grim dawn also has a Dodge roll now
How long has it been added? I stopped playing waaay back in 2018 and dabbled a little in 2020.
@@SilversTaurusIt was last year alongside a massive balance pass
Enjoyed playing the game, was thoroughly bored of my mind when I started doing the monoliths. I don't know what's wrong about them but despite liking the fact that you can choose what kind of reward you want in order to progress, I just wasn't enjoying myself with the way the progression worked.
Every arpg just needs to copy maps tbh.
@@jcm2606Just make all maps random and unidentifiable. Make random events happen in them that lead you to other random events.
I can't wait for the new cycle!
Every arpg rip till next season thats how it is.
Does it fix the boring campain ?
Diablo added a dodge but they did it wrong haha. It doesn't even give you an i-frame. Try dodging a boss ground AOE in the pit and you die
i have bad news for you
Wolcen did dodge roll first
Hoping no cool down on evade
Fomo is exactly why I had to quit wow and destiny. They just kept throwing dailies and weeklies. Then time gated events. Then time limited events. Then deleting content from the game so you have to play it because you bought it. It's so freeing jumping game to game now. I highly recommend GW2 as an MMO because if you own the content you can literally play it whenever you want
@zizaran What the freaking hell is going on with your eyebrows. while you are doing the commercial for Starforge pc's - xD????? is there something you're hiding and wanna tell us about ?? :00 *tinfoilhead prepared°
Just like the devil 😈 in some games when he is trying to trick you into a bad deal 😂
