The exterior shots on a nice day during magic hours are a cinch. Nothing beats that huge light source outside at 7 AM. Much more challenging to do interiors or studio shooting where you are dealing with multiple smaller lighting sources, shadows, stands, etc.
I would never use the Osmo Pocket for any studio work😉
@@MAUROSFILMS Sure! 20 years ago I said I'd never shoot video for a commercial or music video. Or guess that thousands of dollars in Mole Richardson equipment would become rusty old boat anchors. Or that I'd light a dialogue scene with a couple candles.
Moving imagery has become democratized. No doubt that we will be shooting with dime sized contact lenses with real-time global sharing in a few weeks!

Is it best for smooth footage to use the joystick controls or move manually with your hands? Or both?! I need gimbal lessons!!! I feel when I use the joystick in the app it is really abrupt movements and wish it was slower. Thanks!

But here i really want to know if this gimble is a step forward to mobile photography(note 9 for instance) cause i do stills and stories for instagram most of the time, so is the quality of images going to be higher? Or can get a more variety of shots with it? (away from videos and stabilisation).

Nice! Only thing you’re missing is the motion blur. Enter manual mode and lower the shutter speed. You may need to hack a small nd filter on there until the official one comes out!
Without a ND Filter that wasn't available at the time of the test the footage will always look jittery.
Great content ... in daylight what shutter speed do you use? Can you follow 180 rule? Do you know if mavic 2 pro nd filters fit on this one? Can you attach an older micro USB phone to it via the bottom port?

It will be available via an OTA update in the future. mine is a developer version of the Osmo Pocket😉
Update both your mimo app and the pocket. They released pro mode without using a phone and mimo app! And more other features as well including D-Cinelike!

Can you lock the exposure? When I shoot on the osmo mobile i lock it before every shot so the lighting isnt always adjusting as i walk from dark to light etc
Can you use active track in photo-mode to make better raw timelapse‘s?
I wasn't able to do that in my beta version of the app.

Hey if i'm recording a cinematic video with slo-motion should it be in 24 fps like most cinematic or always film slo motion in 60 fps?
Film in 60P or 120 p and than slow it down to 24p in post.

Hey Mango Maddy.. Just walk in one direction and slide your hand from a 90 degree angle to 45 degree angle doing the slide for around 5 seconds. 😉

What’s the best memory amount of sd card you recommend.
I would normally be fine with a 64gb card but if you are going for an adventure and nowhere to store the footage...go for at least 128gb😉 (Max 256gb for the Pocket)
