I loved the smile on your face when you played Hideaway. That's how great music is supposed to make us feel. Also, nice version of Lenny, too. Loved that you made it your own style.
I've been watching random youtube guitar vids all night, and I have to say, that was by far the most entertaining and intriguing one I've seen. I wish you would sing more, but the playing's great too. Wow!
A few weeks ago I played two faded cherry Epiphone SGs at a music store. They were both great!! One of 'em was actually a little better than the other. But they really felt like Gibsons!! I think the faded finish really added to the nice feel of 'em. I highly recommend the Epi faded SG!! But, of course, try before you buy. : )
Awesome. I just got myself one a few days ago. Course I can't play it as well as you but it's the same finish and all. I like it and didn't think the sheraton was that much better.
Great singing - and a bit of a Beatles medley too...I think I'm falling in love!! Cracking stuff and makes me want to plug in right now Bit late here in london though). Nice, man!
Thank you so much! I watched a few of your videos and I see that your an extremely good bass player! And you like Red Hot Chili Peppers LOL! Very nice! You are a valuable asset to any band you play in! Keep up the great work!
You're alright. You don't come off as cocky or arrogant at all. It obvious you just love to play. I hope you're in a jammin' band. Way to play those Epis!
I own a casino, the standard model, and I can tell you that its great and the p90's sound awesome on it. It does have major feedback if you play heavy and I believe the dot has less. The casino is an epiphone original, not a copy of a gibson so it may be made slightly better. You can't go wrong either way though.
Loved your singing. Oh Darlin sounded great except for a touch too much reverb. What a great guitar! A total steal. I do love those chunkier necks on the Gibbys, but I'm willing to sacrifice that and save $2000-$3000 on by getting one of these Epis. Thanks for making up my mind for me.
Semi Acoustic half acoustic, because most of the inside is hollow, like an acoustic guitar, except this one has a solid piece of wood down the middle, under the pickups and bridge so that there are fewer issues with feedback. youtube might not really show it off that well but hollow bodys and semi hollows have a "bigger" sound than solid body electrics.
I'm playing through a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 100 amp head and a Lopoline 2x12 speaker cab with Celestion Vintage 30s. I have the amp on the Classic channel with the gain about halfway to give it little drive and bite. I LOVE the Marshall DSL 100s!!!!
@hofner96 I bought those gold reflector knobs from Guitar Fetish dot com. The original knobs came off pretty easily. They're on there pretty tight but if you use 3 fingers and a thumb you can slowly work them off. Be careful though..... if you pull to hard too fast you could damage the pot.
Ok.... 0:00 - 0:23 guitar solo in "Hello Trouble" by Desert Rose Band. 0:24 - 1:00 "Oh Darlin'" By the Beatles. 1:05 - 1:30 "Honey Don't" Beatles version. 1:31 - 2:05 "Rockin' Down The Highway" by the Doobie Brothers. 2:06 - 2:37 "Hideaway" by Freddie King. 2:40 - 3:35 "Lenny" by Stevie Ray Vaughn. The rest was just crap I was making up.
That was really well done. I've been looking into buying a purchasing an 335 so it's cool to see somebody playing one. Also, hah what songs were you playing? because they were pretty catchy!
Great playing mate. I'm getting a new guitar soon (after not liking the Epi Les Paul Classic I bought) and I've been torn between a Dot, Firebird and Explorer. Well you've just sealed the deal on the Dot so thanks. :) And was it just me or did I hear some SRV (Lenny I think) at the end there?
try out 2 or more, maybe 5, epiphones have differing quality. If you take it down and it is out of tune that might be a bad sign. But play it for a while and see if you can make it go out of tune, bending the strings, etc. Do alot of repeated diminishing chords and if it stays in tune after about half an hour you should be alright. I have an epiphone faded sg and a sheraton, and I really like them, but I played a few before I made a purchase, and went for the ones that stayed in tune.
Very nice very nice. I just bought an EPI Sheraton II in the blonde. Do I get the voice with it???? Great job. Hope you gig somewhere. Are you pickups and tuners the stock or did you change and if so to what. Everywhere I read, owners change out to the 57 Gibson Hummers'
If you haven't already, check my "Epiphone DOT overdrive tone stock pickups" video. I have my amp set for a lot more gain in that video and I play some ZZ TOP, Aerosmith, and some Iron Maiden in that.
DC you are fantastic. I just bought a used one of ebay. I love this guitar. I have 1 question. I do not know if the toggle switch in the center postion is working correctly. I was hopin you can help me out. If one or the other vol controls are not turned up it does not work. Do the volumes both have to be up at the same time Or should you hear one pickup if the other pickup is turned all the way down? When the vols. are up I know both are working, if I turn the vol. off on one they both go off.
Awesome playing! And vocals! Looks like the Epi 335 is everything I could ask for... (I'm thinking about buying one after the holidays). Has it left you wanting something more in any way? (Even better pickups?)
Hey, nice guitar, the real rock'n'roll and bluesy sound and really good playing. I've seen that you have a lot of epiphones, do you have an epiphone sg also? Because I really want to hear how it sounds with amp like yours and from someone who really knows how to play guitar. I was thinking about buying the epi sg, so can you give me an advise?
It's "Lenny" by Stevie Ray Vaughn, but I'm not playing it correctly... I'm just doing my own half-assed version of it. I never really learned the tune.
I loved the smile on your face when you played Hideaway. That's how great music is supposed to make us feel. Also, nice version of Lenny, too. Loved that you made it your own style.
Searching for epiphone dot vids & I checked yours out. I got the bonus when you went into the cover. Nice job and great playing! You made my day...
I've been watching random youtube guitar vids all night, and I have to say, that was by far the most entertaining and intriguing one I've seen. I wish you would sing more, but the playing's great too. Wow!
It's a very light tan color with wood grain showing. It's beautiful! : ) I highly recommend it!
love the blues man sounds sweet and tight and love the gold knobs all you need is gold hum covers ....
stuff that i might never had done with my strat. dude you are a true guitarist. keep posting
Dude I've seen alot of your videos, first time I heard you sing. You're awesome!
I'm buying one of these guitars in a month or two and ran across you vid. Sounds great! You play pretty good too! Thank you very much.

I seriously love your voice, man. You are great!

You must have dozens of Epi's, judging from your videos. Keep up the great work!
Yeah! Rock on! Good feeling, great sound!
Wow
Your singing and playing is amazing
I did not expect the brilliant voice
I see you have a "fan" in your video. Get it, a fan. Oh never mind. Great tone and playing, Coop!
You get a GREAT tone out of that box fan
Man, I wish i could sing like you.
Congratz!
Mine will be here tomorrow, Sounds Grate Man!
Thank you so much! I watched a few of your videos and I see that your an extremely good bass player! And you like Red Hot Chili Peppers LOL! Very nice! You are a valuable asset to any band you play in! Keep up the great work!
What great fun! Might have to buy me one of those.

Oh Darling! - The Beatles
Buy both I'm going to!
Damn! I just got the Epiphone ES-339. If I knew I could sounds like this, I would have gotten this phone. Have you tried the ES-339?
If you haven't already, check my "Epiphone DOT overdrive tone stock pickups" video. I have my amp set for a lot more gain in that video and I play some ZZ TOP, Aerosmith, and some Iron Maiden in that.
I just got one today :D
the song is oh darling by the beatles

I like the Dot better anyways. Semi-hollow always appeals to myself more...
