Got a 49" UltraWide Microsoft PowerToys helps me alot with setting up different screen layouts
I know this unrelated to the video topic. But have you tried the Wyze Products? Was looking into home automation and some say its a cheap alternative. Wondering if you'd ever review them or do a video on something like that.
Without breaking the bank I wanted to try an UWS monitor and given the specs that I found on this, the only downside was HDR400 instead of HDR10, but I got some conflicting info on it and I did order it on sale. Some of the HDR10 monitors were below 100Hz or were only curved, and since I want to use it for Davinci Resolve editing with my new PC, I did want it flat, because I did hear that it could be an issue. Some monitors just seem ridiculously expensive. I'm hoping that it will actually feel good to edit on and perhaps I'd still need a smaller reference monitor.
I bough this for sim racing. Its not bad...has pretty bad ghosting and the HDR is absolutely horrible...i leave it off after hours of tuning it just cant look good lol. Im typing on it right now. All in all for what you pay its great...compared to others it not so great tho. Sim racing I love it...I cant complain for what I paid. For windows and productivity tho this thing really Shines! It should not be labled as a "gaming" monitor...it lacks in that area
Very noice! 😎
Cool screen saver
thanks for the review. Came here because this monitor is now on sale now for $400 guess I'll just buy it and see for myself
I did its glorious
Can you compare this against the MSI Mag 40? Thanks
Not bad. Decent price, but I'd be seeing the pixels on this bad boy I think. Cheers Jason.
Is picture by picture limited to a certain refresh rate?
At that size for gaming I’d hope for a pretty aggressive curve. Seems like this would be better suited towards productivity but at that points it’s lacking resolution.
You can do both 3440x1440 and 3840x2160.
@@kevinobrien3888 Thanks you can set it in custom too did not know
@@cisco150 Yea I honestly couldn’t find it in the menu in the monitor but I found it in the MacOS settings. I tried it and yea… not for gaming that’s for sure. It’s stretched and ugly to be honest. Maybe for other stuff it would work.
@@kevinobrien3888 i use it for gaming and it's perfectly fine but it can be off putting for some people
@@dud324 Yea I only tried WoW, so maybe some other games might scale correctly. I'm sure it's that game and not every game.
Not on sale any longer. ;(
I wish I could see this next to a 34" ultra wide
Right now it’s 120 off plus an extra 80 off coupon box to check making it 427.99 shipped
For sim racing, how do you think this would compare to a 43 inch 16:9?
I'd say this is a better size. Depends what 43 your talking about. I'm building a new sim rig and I might move this to my rig and get a 3rd monitor for my PC. I wish it was curved but for racing the 21:9 is where it's at. 34" 21:9 was too small in height for me...sold it.
It’s better to compare it to being an 32” ultra wide 21/9 is 40” like a 27” ultra wide is a 34” 21/9 as ppi is close same as screen height
This is what I've been trying to figure out, because I have a 49" ultra wide on my desk setup that's equivalent to two 27" monitors. I'm trying to get one single monitor that isn't to wide but that is a little bit taller, (for my sim racing rig) and this monitor seems to check the boxes. But every other review I've watched either says it's like two 24" monitors or doesn't mention the height at all. From your comment I'm guessing the monitor is taller than a 27" monitor correct?
Seems like a monitor that large should be curved
Oh man this kind of UW from amazon or a 35 inch 100hz from Costco hmmm. :)
It's a good price but I'm not liking the height.
Better than 32:9!
But, ultrawide have to be curved, though.
$599 through your link.
There’s a $50 click coupon on it too
I hate it when games stretch the side. It's makes me nauseous
No, it doesn’t have hdr
After clicking on your link who took me to amazon to the monitor you are talking about, it shows its price is $1408.97 and not $500.
$400 right now
First
"Ultra" wide is 2, 16:9 screens side by side for 32:9, wide screen is anything between.
You have to make that clear distinction 😉
That's super wide you're talking about since ultrawide resolutions start at 21:9.
32:9= super ultra wide, 21:9= ultra wide, 16:9= wide
16;9 is wide because before this format had been widely adapted 4:3 was the norm and it was narrower
@@brunojr9You are a learned man, respect
It's like having a 24" 1080p monitor with another 1080p monitor..... it's a 1440p screen. Fuckin fail Jason
Please.. please.. please. Pronounce the c in picture. It's not pitcher. Work on that. You're wrong.
